I work at an influencer and content marketing agency called Supra. I’m a member of the executive team.

What challenges were you trying to address with MVP Builders?

Our industry is very new, so there are a lot of opportunities to incorporate technology. Hence, we hired MVP Builders to develop technologies both for internal and commercial use.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started off by talking to MVP Builders about the needs of the industry. We knew a lot about influencers and marketing but only a little about the technical side of development. We then strategized together about the things that could be done for our company. They were involved in the ideation, development, and execution process.

One of the platforms they’ve already developed allows us to access real-time information on our influencer marketing campaigns. For that one, their team developed the solution from scratch while we worked on the design together. 

Currently, they’re in charge of maintenance.

We work with several people from their company, including one of the founders, a partner, and a team of developers.

We started working together in December 2021, and our partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our employees are already working with the tool MVP Builders has built; they use it for planning and execution. We’re also using it to allow our clients to see the progress of their campaigns in real time. Overall, we’ve been able to automate most of our processes, making the work a lot easier. 

How did MVP Builders perform from a project management standpoint?

We never have any issues in this regard. We communicate with them daily using Trello and have weekly meetings via Google Meet to discuss updates and make adjustments. Moreover, they’re always ready to help whenever we need to address something urgently. We also don’t have any issues in terms of communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their biggest strength is their flexibility. For us, the best thing about working with them is that I can have access to senior or junior developers depending on our needs. Their team is also used to developing new things, which is what we’re aiming to do. In a nutshell, their ability to adapt and understand new types of technologies has been very helpful to us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could provide a more detailed report on how the number of hours we use is spent.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you need to work on a new development project, MVP Builders is a great company to do it with. Make sure to also share with them all of your knowledge about the industry so that they can support you not just on the technical side but also from a business perspective.

I am the CEO of Small Ax Creative a boutique advertising agency. We create video content for brands of all sizes from fortune 500 to startups. As part of our continued growth we are launching a platform to help make the production process easy and transparent for our clients to experience.

For what projects/services did your company hire MVP Builders, and what were your goals?

We engaged MVP Builders to build the first iteration of our production management platform. We are aiming to demystify a complicated production process and make it easy for our clients and creative teams to work together to make incredible content for brands of all sizes.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

MVP came to the rescue to help us develop and iterate a platform we hoped would help us scale and grow revenue. We had started the platform with a different development team and though they seemed to have the expertise the process seemed to drag on and the process seemed confusing. MVP stepped in and the difference was apparent from day one. The teams were professional but collaborative and friendly. They made the process clear and fun and always made us feel their positivity and excitement for the process.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Delivery of a complicated platform that would manage multiple steps throughout the production and creative process. The platform allows for every step of production to be managed and updated in real time. Clients can collaborate, comment, make key decisions, approve phases and see real time updates to manage their project. The platform currently has 7 unique tools to help clients navigate each phase of production from beginning to end.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The delivered MVP was completed to the agreed upon scope and has created a solid foundation for the continued iteration of the platform that is still in the early stages of being developed and expanded.

We were given figma wireframes to reference during the design and discovery phase of the project that allowed us to give feedback and notes on how best to accomplish our goals and make sure we were happy with the tone and style of the design. We were involved in weekly meetings where we were updated on the progress of the development teams. We used Trello to track bug fixes and feedback on each unique tool. The are extremely friendly and collaborative which made the process very enjoyable. They seemed passionate about what we were trying to create and really feel like a part of our team.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They always went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the process and final product. They never said something was impossible or shot down any ideas throughout the process. They are solution oriented when it comes to figuring out a way around any hurdles throughout the development process.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

My only small critique would be a more detailed tracking and scheduling of the process. I know this is a difficult ask because of the nature of development projects. There are always unforeseen issues or hurdles. MVP handled these very well but the only lack of communication seemed to come around laying out a specific calendar with Milestones and being communicative as to where and how we hit delays or staying on track. I feel like this would have helped us better manage the expectation of our leadership teams and help hold us more accountable to any delays caused by our end.
