Introduce your business and what you do there.

I was a mechanical engineer at an equipment manufacturer. My former company develops equipment to process cannabis for the end user. Primarily, we make and sell distillation equipment that facilitates a specific chemical reaction to cannabis. We also provide training, tech support, and lifecycle care for the instruments.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mvmnt?

We needed help with our branding efforts, as well as our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mvmnt was our go-to provider for anything related to our company’s look and feel. They were responsible for our color palette, product art, and product photography. They also designed and developed our website. They used the content that I provided and created all its digital assets. Additionally, they managed and maintained the site. 

Mvmnt also made 3D informational videos about our equipment. They tried to explain our complicated product and show to our market its utility as a tool. They subcontracted the 3D renderings to another vendor.

How did you come to work with Mvmnt?

Mvmnt was already working with our company when I joined.

How much have you invested with them?

We have spent around $50,000–$200,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Mvmnt was already working with our company when I started working there in August 2019. The engagement ended around March 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The feedback from our customers was that our equipment was the best looking in the market. Our equipment had a distinct look, and it appealed to people. Every deliverable that we received from Mvmnt was of high quality and had excellent color and form. 

How did Mvmnt perform from a project management standpoint?

Mvmnt provided high-quality work. I also appreciate Valerie’s quick access to subcontractors, like the one who provided the 3D renderings, allowing her to swiftly do high volume and high tech work. She was also very discerning and patient. For example, if we had bad lighting during product shoots, she would stay until we get good lighting. She was very particular with her work, and as an engineer, I appreciate that.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The breadth of what Mvmnt could accomplish distinguished them from other providers. Valerie is a designer, but she can also work on other tasks that require different skills. If something was beyond her expertise, she had access to providers that could help her. 

We liked that Mvmnt was a one-stop-shop, and we had a difficult time after the engagement ended. We had to call six different people and manage the team instead of having Mvmnt do everything. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of any.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Pay them well, and trust their judgment because they’re good at what they do.

They had a team of about 10 people. I don’t remember the exact number because the project took some time, and we didn’t consistently work with the same people. They had people who worked in specific areas.

The project was in December 2019.

I was pretty happy with the video.

I’d give them a 4.5/5-star rating for their communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I liked how the project went in general. It was a totally positive experience.

I’m sure they could improve some things, but generally speaking, I was happy with their work.

I would definitely recommend working with them — everything went pretty smoothly.

I believe it was around $15,000.

We worked with them in February 2020.

Our team is happy with the video’s quality. The video hasn’t been released yet because we’re waiting until after the coronavirus.

We had no issues. We mainly communicated through email.

It was easy to communicate with their team. The job was done quickly.

I am a consultant for a jewelry brand.

We needed help creating a video.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had been advising on certain work-related conditions and design in order to optimize and produce a better and more precise product. One part of the consulting was about creating a promotional branding video, and Mvmnt helped us create it.

What is the team composition?

I was in contact with two people from the management side. There were a few people on set when we were launching the actual video, and there were a few people who did the actual post-production work.

How did you come to work with Mvmnt?

We did some extensive research in terms of LA branding agencies. I think that it was probably the balance of their on-point response that made us choose Mvmnt in the end.

The cost was between $10,000 and $25,000.

The project lasted from January 2019–February 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The video has been released and we already catered that to the clients. I wouldn’t be able to release something that wouldn’t get the top-notch reaction or quality.

How did Mvmnt perform from a project management standpoint?

I communicated with them via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They paid attention to detail very well. They also made a few suggestions which helped us create exactly what we needed. Rather than doing an outdated jewelry type of visualization, they got it right the first time. Working with Mvmnt was excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is always a desire to have the marketing side of the project cheaper which would be beneficial.
