Before they even started filming, we had several talks with the team. We threw out ideas, went back and forth, and worked together to ensure the concept was solid. It felt super collaborative, which I liked. They weren’t just “doing the job”—they actually helped make our ideas better.Once we agreed on the plan, we got into the details. 
Picking locations, casting the right people, and figuring out all the small stuff took some work. There were a lot of edits and tweaks (no lie), but they stayed patient through all of it. 
Every time we asked for a change, they were cool about it and just kept going until it was right. When we saw the first version of the video, it was awesome to see our ideas come to life. We had a few notes, but they handled them quickly and ensured everything matched what we wanted.

When the final video was done, I showed it to our team, and they got it right away — like, “Yep, this is exactly what we’re about.” We put it on YouTube, and people loved it. Lots of positive comments, and people seemed really interested in what we were offering.It wasn’t just another video — it actually helped people connect with our brand, which was a big win for us.

Working with a team in a different time zone isn’t always easy, but they made it work. We were 12 hours apart, but they always got back to me fast. Sometimes I wondered if they even slept! They kept communication super clear, and we always stayed on track. Honestly, it made the whole process way less stressful than it could’ve been.

The medical spa market in our area is very competitive, and we wanted to use videos to approach our customers in a more personal way. We wanted to give our customers access to us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mosaic Media Films produced videos to show our offices and highlight the different procedures we offer. First, they led the scoping efforts to determine what we were looking for and needed. From there, they mapped out a storyboard and set a production day. Then, they came to our office to film and brought all the necessary equipment. They also interviewed our team members. 

Mosaic Media Films created around 15 videos for us of under five minutes in length, each highlighting different services or products we offer or introducing our office. The videos included a B-roll, voiceover, and background effects. Mosaic Media Films handled video editing and sound mixing.

For our first videos, I primarily worked with Mark (Owner), who did the planning and filming. After that, I worked with a producer, and there were usually 2–3 Mosaic Media Films teammates during the shooting on-site and 2–3 teammates involved in the editing process.

We worked with Mosaic Media Films from June 2019–November 2022. They’ll create another video for us in 2023.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We posted the videos on YouTube and embedded them on our site. The number of views on our channel increased thanks to Mosaic Media Films’ work. The videos help introduce our customers to our office and team and set expectations. Our customers have said that they feel more connected to us, and the videos are one of the reasons why. 

Additionally, we have the videos on our website’s treatment pages, and those pages get the longest view times. While users will view our other pages for 45 seconds, they’ll stay on pages with embedded videos from a minute-and-a-half to three-and-a-half minutes, proving that users watch the videos Mosaic Media Films produced. 

Mosaic Media Films was very good at directing us and telling us what they needed. Moreover, they had a very professional setup and got everything done for us, making the engagement easy.

They were great at communicating, meeting deadlines, and staying within the budget. Mosaic Media Films came in under budget in several projects. They took the lead and stayed on top of our needs and timelines.

We communicated through phone calls, and Mosaic Media Films kept us updated via email and texts. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mosaic Media Films’ biggest strength was their final product. I’ve worked with many video production companies, and Mosaic Media Films’ work quality was far better than their competitors’.

If anything, they could have used a project management system where I could log in to holistically check the project’s status. However, I only had to send them an email, and Mosaic Media Films’ team answered very quickly, so this wasn’t a deal-breaker.

I am the Associate Director of Communications at Breakthrough Central Texas, a Central Texas education nonprofit that creates a path to and through college for students from under-resourced communities.

Mosaic Media Films has helped us with several projects over the last few years -- from a virtual event in the midst of the pandemic, building our b-roll library and most recently helped us create our 20th Anniversary Video. Our goal for the video was to really commemorate the 20 years of the organization and tell the story of our growth in Central and where we are headed by showcasing a variety of stakeholders from our Breakthrough community.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our goal has always been to find a high quality video production team, who values our mission and work, knows the ins and outs of working with nonprofit clients, and could execute the level of work and professionalism that could help us tell our story to the community. Mosaic was just that for us.

We had an initial kick off call with Mark to tell him all our ideas and he is always really receptive to what we want and willing to help and execute our vision. We then had planning meetings for each phase of our project (Collection of Broll and Interviews) with Juliette, the producer. She asked all the right questions, helped us with location, scheduling and shots that we would like to get to make sure our filming days were seemless. She would then coordinate with her team. She was a huge help during building out our interview questions - this is always something that can be difficult to start to ensure you are asking the appropriate thing to ensure you get the perfect end story. We then ended with broll days and interview days.

We worked with Juliette throughout the project who was both our project manager and producer. We were able to utilize they new software that houses all the information of our project and draft videos. On there, we were able to provide seamless feedback on what we wanted to add, cut or see more of.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We premiered our 20th Anniversary video at our annual Benefit Concert in Fall 2022, and the response was incredible. Our goal was to showcase our 20 years, but also appeal to multiple audiences by showcasing different stakeholders, as well as having our video bilingual. The video really did hit the goal of celebrating our 20 years and showcasing our growth since 2002.

Our project manager was easy to communicate with and was always open to dialogue on our ideas. They were always open to feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What I've always found most impressive about Mosaic Media Films is the high quality productions they produce and the size of team they have. There is someone in charged of a specific area/task and that makes for a more efficient work space.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was pretty seamless. We did have one bump on timing for our interview day that caused somewhat a delay for scheduled timings. But other than that, everything went great.

We garnered wonderful viewership for this particular project, and the videos have performed well on our social media and website. We also experienced decent conversion and clickthrough rates.

Our business interactions with Mosaic Media Films have been on behalf of nonprofit clients; we hired them for video production.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially set up virtual meetings where we worked with our production manager to talk about the project, goals, and the audience we were looking to target. From there, we set up film dates in the studio and on location, and then went into filming. Mosaic Media Films provided a draft of the film for us to review a few weeks after that. 

We used a platform to leave comments and edits on the video and in the timeline, and then went through a few rounds of revisions to get the final product we were looking for. Mosaic Media Films took care of all the filming, figured out how many of their team members needed to be on-site to film, and was responsible for the video production and editing. We’ve produced four short explainer videos. 

The videos are 3–5 minutes long and focus on explaining the brand. The videos were brief and normally included a couple of the organization's spokespeople to lay out the brand's mission, vision, or any particular campaign goals the clients were announcing. 

We’ve also used Mosaic Media Films to record and produce a livestream. They know exactly the equipment needed for each shoot, and in every situation we’ve worked with them, they’ve provided all of the visual and sound recordings. We’ve worked with them both on location and in the studio. The videos have been posted to YouTube, the company website, the newsletter, Facebook, and have also been used on local broadcast media.

We found them through a Google search. Videographers were very hard to come by because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and many rates weren’t affordable for us. We made a request on the Mosaic Media Films website, and they got back to us that same day. They explained a lot about the company and were quick to get back to us while we were on a tight timeline, so it was a no-brainer when it came to who we wanted to work with.

We invested between $7,000–$10,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between August–November 2022. Our project has concluded, but we will continue to work together in the future.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had very positive feedback; the video premiered at an in-person fundraising event and was used as one of the primary tools to fundraise that evening. The goals were met and exceeded, so we would say it was favorably received. The last set of videos we released had about 700 views on YouTube. 

How did Mosaic Media Films perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Calendly and Vimeo to coordinate. We had regular email, phone, and Zoom check-ins throughout to make sure everything was on track. The team stayed on budget and worked within the deadline; overall, it all went very smoothly. They were responsive and highly communicative with us. 

The team was incredibly responsive to feedback, and any edits or revisions we had were taken well, communicated effectively, and then taken care of. If we didn’t agree on something, the conversation was very logical, and they laid out the points in an effective way. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everyone we worked with was incredibly knowledgeable and an expert in their craft. They understood what we needed, and were flexible. The team took the time to listen before getting started, which made the process easier because we never had any miscommunications about expectations or what was needed within the project's scope.

The Art of Anti-Aging is an information source on the most effective steps to look and feel the best and avoid and overcome disease. Meanwhile, Purity Woods is an organic skincare product provider, including an age-defying cream with natural ingredients.

Our industry is very competitive, so we need to reach people and compel them to pay attention to our offerings within seconds. We turned to Mosaic Media Films to help us do that.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mosaic Media Films created marketing videos for us with a hefty amount of information. We worked with them on at least eight projects, and they delivered three, five, eight, and 14-minute-long videos for different purposes. All the videos were live-action, and Mosaic Media Films used talking heads, real-life footage, and people in motion. 

First, we brainstormed together to pull out concepts and ideas that could compel viewers. From there, Mosaic Media Films arranged those ideas and conceptualized the shots to express them. They helped with script writing and storyboarding. 

The team also helped us select locations; they filmed some videos at our location, some in studios, and some in external locations. Mosaic Media Films provided all the necessary equipment and handled every step of the process, including postproduction.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The videos Mosaic Media Films produced were instrumental to my companies’ launch and tremendous growth. We used the videos as the front piece of large-scale online events, and they got hundreds of thousands of views. Now, the videos have their home base on our website. We’ve also published them on YouTube and across all our social media, including Facebook and Instagram. 

Mosaic Media Films’ work has also inspired our customers to take action, meaning they’ve helped produce real conversions. I can’t praise Mosaic Media Films enough for their professionalism and the final results they achieved. They knew how to grab the audience’s attention in seconds and hold it — all the videos were exceptional. 

Moreover, they were great at helping us plan the videos. The team was excellent at choosing optimal locations and working with me to help make them convenient. Mosaic Media Films was also wonderful to work with when we needed edits; they were responsive and timely. We never had to explain much for them to understand what we wanted. I was pleased we never needed too many edits because the team was very gifted.

The project manager was very responsive, and it was easy to work with Mosaic Media Films because we only had to be in contact with one person who took care of everything. They also stayed on task; when other organizations lost focus during December, Mosaic Media Films was always laser-focused.

Additionally, they never caused any delays; if anything was late, we caused it. Their clarity of communication was also great. We primarily used email, as was my preference, and the team communicated the way I asked them to. When we had an urgent matter, we used phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The finished product Mosaic Media Films delivered mattered most — the videos were the best they could be. I’ve worked with other service providers in the video production space, and none have come close to the quality of Mosaic Media Films. They also lead a beautiful and easy process to get those end results. 

I appreciated their involvement during every stage of the process. Our projects were large-scale and took a lot of effort, and Mosaic Media Films made the process easy thanks to their expertise. As a result, we didn’t have any stress. Mosaic Media Films was a small company when we started working together, and they only got better; every single person I worked with from their team was exceptional.

Their only challenge might be growth. Mark only hires top talent; they can’t grow any faster because it’s not easy to keep finding that top talent.

Before engaging with Mosaic Media Films, you should clearly know what you want to achieve. Ask yourself if you want to increase sales right away and which people you’re trying to reach. I interviewed about 5 different people and Mark was by far the most professional, understood the scope of the project and had a vision for what we wanted to do. He was quick to follow up and extremely organized and efficient.

We started with a discovery meeting where we outlined what we wanted to accomplish with the video. Mark was able to negotiate a price and cast vision for content. They were very efficient by sending video timelines and expectations for the video shoot. The film crew came to clinic and shot all of the components, conducted patient interviews in one day. They were just lovely to work with. The post-production team edited, and delivered a top rate video!

We have a beautiful video that tells the story of the mission of The Source in 3 minutes that we have used for fundraising events, church events and shared with donors and prospective donors. We could not be more thrilled with the end result.
