BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the head of the department for the polyurethane division at a chemical distribution company. We do business in many fields, including distribution, lubricant, plastic, oil, gas, technology, polyurethane, paints, and construction. Our company has been established for over 34 years and has offices in Saudi Arabia, India, Canada, and London.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Moonbox Branding?

We needed assistance with the rebranding of our company. We achieved significant growth during 2023, which was an important success for our company’s size, and we wanted to celebrate it with a relaunch of our brand. Given that we’re a B2B company, coming up with a branding setup can be difficult because we deal with different distributors.

Moreover, we’re a family-owned company, so this was a big change. Still, we had clarity that we needed a global look to give our brand a higher value and make it look more attractive, reliable, and have higher visibility.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Originally, we approached Moonbox Branding to design our company’s complete rebranding. They’ve presented us with a new logo and name, appealing to the international and global image we want to portray as a company. During the discovery phase, we had extensive meetings with Moonbox Branding to discuss our company’s history. They gave us exercises and a questionnaire to find out our goals and understand the scope of our project.

To design our company’s new image, Moonbox Branding has made sure they understand our company’s core competencies and values. They’ve presented various options for color schemes, names, and logos to choose from. As part of our rebranding, they’ve redesigned our corporate stationery, including pens, diaries, and office calendars. Moonbox Branding has also designed other items like staff shirts, hats, digital signatures, and our corporate brochure, and they’re currently working on our office and website redesign.

In addition to the products they’ve designed, Moonbox Branding will also help us launch our new company’s image through a PR strategy. They’ll look for magazines, newspapers, and forums from Latin America, Europe, Africa, and Asia to launch our new branding.

We’re planning other projects with Moonbox Branding. They’ll produce our corporate video, for which we’ve already established the production timeline and phases. They also have all the content and information they need from us to produce it.

Lastly, Moonbox Branding will produce a corporate event in Dubai scheduled for March 2023. They’ll help us organize many aspects of this event, including presentations, reservations for location, and food. They’ll also design customized gifts for our guests and a present message from our CEO.

What is the team composition?

We work with a team of 13–14 professionals from Moonbox Branding. Just on the branding aspect, we’re working with seven teammates, including a content writer, a graphic designer, and a team coordinator. We’ve also worked with the creative director. 

How did you come to work with Moonbox Branding?

We approached Moonbox Branding after extensive online research that took 3–4 months. In this process, I talked to 13–14 service providers but couldn’t find a company in Dubai that could provide all the services we required. They could either do web development or branding, but not both. 

At some point, I considered going to Europe to seek a service provider, even though I knew it would be more expensive. I couldn’t find the quality I was looking for in Dubai until I came across Moonbox Branding. 

How much have you invested with them?

Overall, we’ve invested around $45,000 with Moonbox Branding. This budget includes the quotes for the branding strategy, the website, and the corporate event they’re producing for us. Each of these projects costs around $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Moonbox Branding in October 2022, and our partnership is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We work with several multinational suppliers and partners, and this rebranding shows them we're an evolving company. We've received positive feedback on the gifts and messages we've sent. Our business relationships in Europe have increased since this rebranding.

Moreover, the rebranding Moonbox Branding has designed resonates with our company. They've given us a reason behind every decision and showed that they understand our goal to be the top chemical distributor company for the Middle East in the next five years. 

Moonbox Branding's content writing is phenomenal, and their creative director has also been great. Overall, they've been really honest; we truly feel they're working with their heart and not just for the money — that's hard to find. They've had a lot of empathy for our company and don't consider the job finished once they deliver something; they're always available for changes and have been very flexible.  

How did Moonbox Branding perform from a project management standpoint?

Moonbox Branding meets deadlines. If there's a delay, it's usually on our part, and they've been very patient with our timelines. Moreover, Moonbox Branding takes their time to get all the necessary information. During the rebranding process, they went to our office 6–7 times to get the approvals, and we loved meeting with them.

Additional to the in-person meetings, we meet through Microsoft Teams and have a WhatsApp group where we stay in contact. If I need something else, I can also call them; they're really accessible. Moonbox Branding's team coordinator is very professional and responsive; they usually get back to us right away. Their sales team has also been great; they're systematic, and we had a great experience with them during the negotiation process.

Another thing I like about Moonbox Branding is that they do extra work for us. Sometimes they don't charge us or charge us complimentary service instead of what they'd charge for a new project. We've made a big investment, but it has been worth it for all their work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm most impressed with Moonbox Branding's staff — every teammate is qualified for the job they're doing. Moonbox Branding has different specialists who all work in person in the same office, which has been very convenient for us because they can work on different projects. 

Moreover, their web development team is excellent, and when we looked at their filmmaker's portfolio, we were really impressed with their previous work. The same thing happened with the creative director; they're systematic and the backbone of the company. 

I believe Moonbox Branding's work quality is why customers return to working with them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven't had any bad experiences with Moonbox Branding so far. If anything, they have the capability to charge more for their services. Moonbox Branding works phenomenally, and they have the potential to reach a global audience and grow outside of the Middle East. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend you get involved with Moonbox Branding. They like clients who are responsive and give them ideas, so you need to have a clear understanding of what you want to achieve with your project.

Moreover, I recommend you be one step ahead of Moonbox Branding because they really care for the growth of their customers. They're great at giving the best advice for your project, and the more involved you are, the more they'll be able to design a work path for you.
