Amidst the COVID pandemic, our company proactively sought innovative solutions to maintain employee satisfaction and engagement in the absence of in-office perks like complimentary snacks. Introducing the "C-Box," a thoughtfully curated snack box offering coffee and treats for our clients' employees. 

We partnered with Mirar to expertly handle photography, design captivating box labels, and create a compelling video showcasing the contents of the box, all aimed at enhancing the overall experience for our clients.

In addition to achieving profitability, we successfully distributed over 10,000 snack boxes to our valued clients and their employees, fostering stronger relationships and heightened satisfaction levels.

Exceeding our expectations, they demonstrated exceptional timeliness by delivering the items ahead of schedule. We serve as a family office for wealthy families.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mirar Media?

We’ve had the business for around 11 years but haven’t updated our website. As such, we’ve engaged Mirar Media to update and modernize it. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially gave Mirar Media some ideas, and they provided us with templates and asked us general questions about what we wanted to accomplish. From there, they developed the website. There were some keywords and definitions that we wanted to appear on the website, and their team found a place for them at the bottom of each page. 

Moreover, we already had something to work with in terms of design. As a result, Mirar Media provided suggestions on how we could keep the good parts of what we had and enhance them. We didn’t have to start everything from scratch.

At present, they provide us with photography and website maintenance services. Mirar Media has taken photographs for our biographies page. Since employees come and go, they remove some photos from that page and replace them with new photos or information. 

In terms of features, the website is for building our credibility. Our business is highly specialized, so we don’t usually get clients through Google search results. Usually, clients find us through their advisers. From there, they visit our website to check us out and look at our bios and services. 

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with Victoria (Creative Director). Other teammates, including Yomi (Lead Cinematographer), have worked on our photography needs. Our team has also interacted with Philipe (Owner) occasionally. 

How did you come to work with Mirar Media?

Mirar Media was in the office next to ours, so we knew them personally. One day, I was combing through a magazine while I was getting my hair done. In the back of that magazine, I saw that they’d won an award for their videography work. That catalyzed my decision to contact and hire them to work for us. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested between $8,000–$9,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Mirar Media in September 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

When people visit our website, they say it’s clean and easy to navigate. This is the feedback I get from potential clients and website visitors. 

How did Mirar Media perform from a project management standpoint?

Mirar Media’s project management approach is great. They set up timelines and are great at meeting deadlines. They stay in contact with us and get things done. Overall, it’s been a great experience. 

Since they’re right next door to us, we can meet with them if we want to communicate. Apart from that, we also use emails and phone calls. We’ve done Zoom calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mirar Media is an established company that has young people on their team. As such, they have a great energy and approach to their work. Since we’re an older financial company, I want to work with a company with young energy and better ideas. I want our site to look updated, so I continue working with them. 

Moreover, the photographs they’ve taken for us have been great. On top of that, I like the ideas they’ve given us about updating the website. They’re quite good at pretty much everything they suggest. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. I’m truly happy with everything.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have some ideas ahead of time. Provide Mirar Media with enough information to work with, and be open to their suggestions — they have great ideas.

Each year, for the last three years, Mirar has helped Shelter produce an emotional appeal video for fundraising at our annual Gala. They organized, directed and edited the video, working collaboratively with our staff. The videos have been used in other arenas, including on our website, in email communications, and as links in annual reports. 

Mirar also helped us rebuild our website, providing us with a clean, more modern look and improved navigation. They have continued to provide technical support when needed and are responsive to requests to add functionality to the website.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

• A clear and compelling story told through video helped us to raise money at our events. Tracked views of the videos posted on our You Tube channel show that they are being opened/watched. Website design was clearly an improvement and we can track a decrease in exits from particular pages.

Mirar has been a pleasure to work with. Our team (Victoria and Phillipe) is easy to work with, collaborative, and responsive to our needs. All deadlines were met and communication was clear and timely. As a non-profit, budget is always an issue for us. Mirar Media has been very accommodating and creative in helping us achieve our goals while staying within our budget. The work product is high-quality and professional.

Mirar helped us develop very captivating explainer videos for our leadership programs. For our product, the videos need to be informational but also engaging. This includes matching the narration and informational aspect of the video with an animation that goes along with it. Striking this balance is a challenge we needed help with, so we chose to outsource to the best. 

Aside from the actual production, they helped with scripting and scoping the video. The final deliverables included three distinct videos, each focusing on a different skill that we used for developing our courses for corporations.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to launch three successful courses which used the videos that Mirar Media helped us create. These courses became part of the core services that we offered to our clients, so the results were quite measurable right away. We plan on continuing to use these videos as part of our courses in the coming months - as needs change and companies switch their needs, we may need to update them, and we certainly plan on reaching out to Mirar Media again for that.

Project management was quite good. They allocated 1-2 employees at any given moment, but it was pretty hands-off once we told them what we needed. From there out, we just communicated for feedback. They would send a draft, we gave feedback, and then they gave the updated draft based on our suggestions. After a few rounds, we had a successful product. We mainly used email communication after the initial calls.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to grasp the concept that we painted with our words was awe-inspiring. Their initial draft of what we envisioned was quite spot-on, so they saved us a lot of time thanks to their raw talent and efficiency. I also think that their lean framework made things very simple.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Mirar Media could have done differently?

Not really that I can think of - working with them was a breeze, and I'd certainly do it again!
