We wanted to introduce our Association and our competitions to potential players who may not be aware of our Winter programs.

I did extensive online searching and had several conversations with other companies but found Megaphone to be the most communicative and understanding of what we were trying to achieve.

Megaphone ran Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns for us which included writing ad copy, making ad creatives, optimisation of paid ad accounts, as well as general digital marketing advice and consultation.

We contributed still images as well as providing guidance on the copy to accompany the adverts We also engaged them to create videos for both our slowpitch and fastpitch competitions that we continue to utilise across our social media platforms and our website

What was the team composition?

We had a dedicated Account Manager who was our main point of call throughout the process. We also had the opportunity to liaise with the account executives and the head Of accounts when necessary. The entire Megaphone team of experts contributed to the marketing strategy that we ran.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Interest in Melbourne Softball, as determined by the number of email enquiries, attendance at our come and try sessions and the number of player registrations, increased and we had a significant increase in the number of players looking to be involved.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was excellent. We knew where we stood every step of the way and they were accomodating with the many tweaks we wanted to be made to advertising copy and the landing page they created for the campaign. They responded quickly to feedback and as such we were able to get the campaign up and running in a very short time frame.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Although we would represent only a very small part of their business I feel that we received just as much attention as their million-dollar clients would. Always happy to have a chat about how things were going and to listen to our ideas and suggestions.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Cost-wise they are expensive for smaller entities, and while we accept that is part of the process it is still a significant outlay for something that generally isn't a recovered cost.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are seeing continuous increase each and every month. We are absolutely loving the results we are seeing with Megaphone and will continue to use them to further grow the business. We are seeing consistent increased sales as well as general brand awareness.

The growth we saw has outweighed our original thoughts we would achieve within the first 6 months. Since then we have increased our budget a few times to further increase our reach. The digital strategies are being greatly received by our target market.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We have a really great workflow. Rebekah is always able to handle our whacky (and often last minute) requests and ideas. The team at Megaphone always completes the tasks and we do not have to chase.

Communication has always been one of the strongest points with Megaphone (even when we can be a little slack!!). Megaphone has never oversold their abilities and has always set really achievable goals.

Honestly, everthing. We just absolutely love working with them. They fit our vibe and achieve results!

Since we have worked with the team we have been able to grow the business from 1 x to averaging 3 x on our ad spend. They have been able to work with our monthly managing our budgets to increase and grow our business.

From start to finish the workflow has been nothing but a personal relationship we have been able to work with on with our account manager to the videoing team to bring our ideas to life and action these in a marketing environment

We're impressed with their knowledge to ensure our business is hitting the key points in terms to presentation and marketing. From visual displays to giving feedback on content we needed to target towards our demographic they have been extremely hands on

As a small company, it's a big decision to start working with a marketing agency and it can be hard to hand over the reins to someone else. But we are so glad that we did! The Megaphone team was professional, reliable, and always prepared. We want to give a special thanks to our account manager Tim for always delivering on time and for being a great listener.

We always felt heard even as a small business and we really appreciated that they allowed us to be in control while helping to hone and polish our ideas into great content. We couldn't have been happier with their service and we highly recommend them!

What were your goals for this project?

My goals for this project was to increase Sales, Reach and Return On Ad Spend (ROAS).

I was previously managing all the paid ads myself and wasn't getting the results I needed. My only choice was to outsource and I am so glad I found Megaphone.

SOLUTION

How did you select Megaphone Marketing?

I actually found out about Megaphone through one of their own paid facebook ads! Their ad creative showed the results they had produced for other ecommerce brands.

It was really convincing and I knew instantly that I had to onboard them as my ads manager.

We hired Megaphone to run our paid Facebook and Instagram advertising on Facebook Ads Manager. They write all our ad copy, use our content to produce all of our ad creatives and set-up & optimise our paid campaigns.

 They set up & manage all of our email marketing funnels, and do a lot of instagram influencer outreach for us. They also provide a lot of free general digital marketing advice and consultation including how I can improve my website (speed loading, design), how to go about PR outreach just to name a few.

In the last few days, we have also engaged them to set-up & manage our Google & Youtube Ads.

What was the team composition?

My Account Manager, Anna, is my main, daily POC, however I have the opportunity to liaise with the Account Executives and the Head Of Accounts when necessary.

However, whilst my Account Manager is the main POC, their entire team of experts contribute to the marketing strategy behind the scenes. This includes graphic designers (ad creatives), influencer marketing experts, Klaviyo experts, SEO experts, website builder experts.

I am also looking forward to using their new content creation team for some videos.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They have more than doubled our sales and return on ad spend in just 2 months through their facebook & instagram ads. And conversions on our email marketing funnels are at 85%.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very effective. Anna is always available to chat to Monday to Friday during her work hours.

If I ever have a question regarding the performance of an ad set, she is quick to advise me on what approach we should take (whether it's to turn it off, wait for it to spend a bit more, or alter part of the ad).

She is constantly checking the performance of my ad account on a daily basis at a minimum & optimising it. Her team now understands the brand extremely well and the content they produce is of a very professional standard.

If I ever have any question or issue, Anna is quick to respond & remedy if necessary. They have been a pleasure to work with, hence why we have engaged them to do more work for us.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They are a team of experts & their processes are seamless. From the sales pitch & presentation that Alanah gave to me at the beginning, to Anna my account manager that I talk to on a daily basis, to the report they prepare summarising our results on a monthly basis, to the ad creatives & emails they produce for me.

Everything is so professional and of the highest standard. They are also very honourable & transparent with their pricing, and I believe quite reasonably priced given the amount of time & effort they spend on your business.

I also love that each account manager only has a max of 5 clients at one time. So they have the time to spend on your business!

Not really - I am truly satisfied with the results so far & my dealings with them.

How did you select Megaphone Marketing?

After almost daily emails from a lot of different advertising companies, we ended up selecting Megaphone Marketing due to the initial contact from Tahlia. Her approach was personal and welcoming. Although they were no where near the cheapest of companies, the fact that they are 100% Australian based, easily contactable, and genuinely interested in our products made that difference.

We had initial phone and email meetings with Megaphone. They were very helpful in laying out exactly what was needed from us, at our end, to help them produce the best quality website, and advertising for our business. They helped with ad copy, creatives, and ideas. They have created a brilliant marketing campaign which has seen our website orders and visits increase dramatically over the past few months.

They have a dedicated contact with Facebook and IG marketing- advertising hemp is not that easy in Australia. We have gone from struggling to get our ads approved, to having ongoing paid advertising each day. We provided all the images of our products, product descriptions and general uses, and Megaphone created the ads around that.

What was the team composition?

We have a dedicated POC with Megaphone, and she is available any time during the week for calls/ or email. My questions and queries are answered immediately, and with great detail.

We have had a large group of people working on the website, and then the advertising campaigns. Now that the most of the work is done, the team has decreased, however our POC has not changed

Since Megaphone has started our paid advertising our sales are up 274%. So obviously we are very happy!! Brand awareness has been increasing dramatically, and social media interactions have also increased. We did try a few smaller companies initially, however Megaphone just seem to "get it".

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager, Anna, is fantastic!! She knows how to convey our message, and Megaphone in general have done a lot of research on hemp, and understand our position, and our target markets. Tina and myself, are not very tech savvy, and Anna and the team are aware of this and cater to our needs.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Megaphone did quite a bit of research on our products and target markets. They are willing to accommodate our wishes, but are not afraid to tell us when they think we have it wrong. Totally Australian based, was the big point of difference for this company, and the ease of being able to get in contact was very reassuring.

Other vendors that I had dealt with previously had a lot of issues getting paid ads running. After a couple of initial hiccups, now everything runs so smoothly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I am very happy with the service that Megaphone provided. All jobs have been produced in a timely manner, and the quality of the work is exceptional.

We are currently achieving a 2-2.5x ROAS and hope this will increase over time. Megaphone have also provided lots of great advice to gain more conversions, including incorporating customer reviews into our website, optimising the checkout experience and selecting imagery for ads that captures our audience.

Christina is very easy to communicate with.

Megaphone has a vast team of experts so there's always someone to speak with regarding any aspect of growing your business.

When I first signed up with Megaphone some of the advertising campaigns didn't achieve the results I was expecting. As we continue to work together and experiment with different content to drive conversions, I hope we can find a winning formula that puts our brand above their average client ROAS.

To maximise brand awareness and convert people in the awareness stage to appointment requests.

SOLUTION

How did you select Megaphone Marketing?

Our account was under management with another company at the time that we evaluated Megaphone. Max and the team came highly recommended by a colleague and after a discussion and strategy session, we moved our account.

It was very important that our account was not closed or put on hold and managed from within the agency as with many other providers. With Megaphone, we kept our account as a separate entity that we still manage and control - but simply grant the team access as required.

Megaphone do the keyword research and monitoring, the targeting and retargeting campaigns, all creative and copy. They created a particularly engaging video ad showcasing our 5 locations. I appreciate the great collaboration on refining the copy to get the messaging just right.

I have always had an account manager as a primary contact, so I am not sure how many other people are involved in managing our account overall.

We are always tweaking and refining - and 2020 has been a very difficult year. On our return to inviting patients back into our practices, our conversion rates have been excellent with our new creative.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We have always had very helpful and knowledgable account managers who have been very easy to work with and brief on the nuances of our industry and AHPRA guidelines we must adhere to.

Monthly reports could be a bit more in-depth with information that I can't already see on my advertiser dashboards. It is always a good reminder to have it all collated, however, and often leads to an assessment and strategy discussion.

How did you select Megaphone Marketing?

Consultation process with sales representative, with a focus on goals and the unique circumstances around selling alcoholic products. Megaphone was very responsive to the specific questions / concerns I had around branding and the product.

After initial consultation, Megaphone developed and implemented a social media marketing strategy. As our understanding of the market developed, they implemented changes to the strategy, including developing new creative and copy, building a new landing pages, and tweaking other metrics to get the best ROI on advertising. Throughout the process, I was regularly updated on when, how, and why changes were being made.

What was the team composition?

I worked closely and directly with my account manager (my direct point of contact), who then worked with his team and other groups within their company depending on the specific nature of what was being done (eg - he directed their web developer for landing page, etc).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Megaphone did increase sales and drastically increased traffic to the website, but the ROI was ultimately not successful.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

No problems - Megaphone was responsive and prompt with anything and everything that needed to be done.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their willingness to go above and beyond to achieve the goals we'd established from the initial onboarding meeting. In addition, we were impressed with their creativity and willingness to adjust as time progressed and we had more information. Communication was also excellent.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Although we did not succeed at our goal, I was very impressed with them overall and would highly recommend them to anyone considering a digital marketing campaign.
