We've seen substantial increase in return on ad spend month on month. We're now seeing ROAS of 3.4x which is 143% increase since we first started our working relationship. Not only that, Megaphone developed strategies to help increase our average order value (AOV) through assessing our sales data. These strategies have increased our AOV by 7%! We have also substantially increased our returning customer rate which is really important to us.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of marketing at SunRidge Farms. We’re a manufacturer of organic foods in the consumer packaged goods and bulk foods industries.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Megaphone Marketing?
We’d never done e-commerce before the pandemic. After COVID-10 we realized we needed an online presence, so we partnered with Megaphone Marketing to help us develop it.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We specifically needed advice on how to set up our original website before we handled newer technologies in the backend with WooCommerce.
They’re now handling our Facebook media, as well as our Facebook and Google advertising. We’ll be expanding our role with them in other social media platforms as revenue increases.
What is the team composition?
We have two primary contacts: the CEO, who at the time we formed the relationship wasn’t in that position, and Marina (Account Manager). She is our primary business development person. She handles all the nuts and bolts on a day-to-day basis. However, based on conversations with them, I know that there are many others involved in the process on their team.
How did you come to work with Megaphone Marketing?
In one of my international travels, I was in Australia, and we came across each other. About a year later, I received a phone call out of the blue.
I’d been seeking out a partner for a while, but almost everybody we’d talked to wanted to engage in significantly greater financial commitments than those we were capable of making at the time. Megaphone Marketing came in with a great, open, and non-pressure environment to service us. It appealed a lot to our management team, and it was exactly what we needed. Since then, we’ve had a fabulous partnership.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $25,000–$50,000 in the first year, and we expect it to extend.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started to work with them in May 2020, and we officially signed the contract in June. Our relationship is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We didn’t have a modern website, and they helped us to get a platform on the backend that gave us additional growth in marketing as we developed our team. Therefore, moving into the 21st century has been one significant aspect and a metric by itself.
Also, we’ve seen improvement with the ad campaigns that we’re currently running or testing. Actually, on the last two campaigns, the return on our ad spend was five and eight times greater.
How did Megaphone Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
Their performance has been outstanding. The management, communication, coordination of the project, and project detail are exceptional. They’re a fantastic company.
We communicate with them through a combination of video conference calls every couple of weeks and frequent emails. Since they’re based in Australia and we’re here on the West Coast, we have to deal with time zones. Megaphone Marketing was planning to open an office in Los Angeles, but COVID-19 delayed the plans by about a year. They expect to have it ready by the end of 2021, and it’ll obviously make our communication with them much easier.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The significant difference for us is the flexible structure of their work and their contracts. They’re willing to listen to the customer and their needs, especially if they’re unsure of what to do.
Unlike other 75 companies that I’ve interviewed over the past four years, I’ve found that Megaphone Marketing doesn’t demand upfront, outrageous contracts. They’re more committed to results, and they give you 90 days to prove themselves — which they do without fail. We didn’t have a six-months or one-year contract with no assurance of whether it would work or not, and the costs were far less compared to other companies— their approach is just fabulous.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Honestly, I don’t think we could’ve approached it any differently. I can’t speak for other industries or customers that they have, but I think they do a pretty fabulous job. They improve upon everything they do, and they’re dynamic and young. When they make a mistake, they’re able to recognize that they don’t know everything, and then they work to correct it. I’m very impressed with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I would wholeheartedly recommend you to give them a shot. Give them 90 days and let them show you what they can do. Then, listen and trust the advice that you’re receiving from them.

We are really pleased with the results and growth we have had with Megaphone, our ROAS are between 10x upto 19x :) depending on if we are targeting new or returning customers. The main things holding us back sometimes is just not having enough stock to sell.

We have weekly meetings via phone and or email and also a motherly report overview. We can compare data and continue to improve and enhance the ads. When updates are to be done megaphone are very quick and detailed on initialising the improvements straight away.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of a pet products company, mainly focused on cat products.

What challenge were you trying to address with Megaphone Marketing?
I’m in charge of Google Shopping for my company, which we’ve been very successful at, but after a year, we found we were able to ask for help to increase our revenue. We found Megaphone Marketing because we wanted someone to run our social media accounts for us.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Megaphone Marketing provides us with strategies to increase the company’s social media marketing. Usually, they walk us through what they’ll do and what they’ll mainly focus on. They offer us different investment options and explain to us the return investment we can get from it. That way, it’s up to us how we decide to work with them.
What is the team composition?
Currently, I only work with the account manager, which is my main point of contact that organizes everything for me, but I believe there are other people involved.
How did you come to work with Megaphone Marketing?
The Megaphone Marketing team sent me an email. After researching their profile, I found they looked like a reliable partner to work with, so I decided to give it a try.
How much have you invested with them?
For the general service, we’ve spent $5,000 AUD (approximately $3,900 USD). For the current project, which involves Instagram, Facebook, and Google Ads, we’ve spent about $10,000–$15,000 AUD (approximately $8,000–$12,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started in January 2021, and it’s still ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They promised me they’d optimize Facebook and Instagram for my company, and we’ve seen a straightaway outcome of their collaboration. On the same weekend that we started, we got 20 orders from Instagram and Facebook, which was beyond my expectations. Now, every month, we’ll have 200 as the average of orders from our accounts.
They send me reports monthly. We can see how sales went from both ends. The results we’re reaching –compared to January– February did a 30% increase. From February, March had a 15% increase, and compared to March, April has done another 15% increase in sales.
How did Megaphone Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
They're doing very well. They have an account manager who communicates with me daily. We will discuss what they’ll do on our account and what the advertising group is going to do or if they have a delay. That way, I can know what ad works better, what product works better, and what product is not performing that well.
Normally, we communicate through email and Team Viewer, which is where we’re holding meetings. I normally tell them what I need to get done, and they tell me if it’s doable or not or if they need to charge some extra. For example, if I need to do an extra EDM (email directing marketing) campaign, they’d probably charge another $100 AUD (approximately $80 USD) if that’s not included in our contract, which I find reasonable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive characteristic about them is their account manager, who works very closely with us. She looks at our social media accounts in a backend, and she’s very detailed about the aesthetics of the work.
Megaphone Marketing always knows what goes on and how to improve the ad performance. This is very impressive because we need people to look after and look closely at the account. Sometimes, some ads are not performing well and need to be deleted, but sometimes people who work in the marketing business will charge for the service, set up their account, and leave without a follow-up. Because of this, having a company like Megaphone Marketing is much better because they take responsibility for it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We are going to spend more on advertising every month, but I need them to optimize my return on investment. I am expecting higher ROI rates, so I think they can do better.
Any advice for potential customers?
If your product has a brand name or you have a high ticket product, you can work with a marketing agency because they can generate more sales for you. But if your product is at a lower price, it’s better to do it for yourself and save some money.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Founder and Creative Director of an Australian stationery and gift brand. I am responsible for the design of all of our products as well as sales and marketing.

For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing?
Initially we started with Facebook and Instagram ads and remarketing, but we've now started looking at Google shopping.
What were your goals for this project?
Our brand was built through wholesale and this was our primary focus for the first 4 years. However we wanted to strengthen our DTC channel as it was quite small. We'd dabbled in boosted posts on Instagram and saw some good results but we wanted more strategic and effective digital marketing to help grow this area.
SOLUTION
How did you select Megaphone Marketing?
When Megaphone approached us it was the perfect time. Covid caused all of our trade shows and events to be cancelled we saw our online sales start to grow significantly and we had extra budget to spend on our digital marketing.
After speaking with Kia we found we were really aligned with their approach - no fuss, no buzz words and they're incredibly results focused. We like how pro-active they are and how they are constantly monitoring and tweaking our campaigns to make the most of our ad spends.
We were hesitant to take on a marketing agency as we'd never spend this kind of money on digital marketing or worked with an agency before (and so many shady ones approach you) but after the first month we saw immediate results and we couldn't be happier.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
First we had a brief chat with Kia who gave us an in depth run down of Megaphone's background, clients and the way they work. We also chatted about our business and goals. We then met our account manager Alana and had a strategy meeting.
We answered a questionnaire about our business - mission, values, competitors, brand personality etc. After that they put together a proposal to show us what they could do for us in terms of advertising, remarketing and strategy and some indicative spends for each channel.
After we agreed on a marketing package they proceeded with a analysis of our website and provided some great suggestions on how we could optimise up our website and some amazing apps.
Alana then got started on our campaigns and provided monthly reports and regular check ins (phone calls and emails) to see what was working and what new products and promotions we could promote.
What was the team composition?
Initially we dealt with Kia and then were passed on to our dedicated account manager Alana.
I've worked closely with Alana our account manager the whole time (almost 5 months now) and I believe she does most of our campaign work herself and is our only point of contact but I imagine she has a team of designers and developers who work with her on our account.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The results were immediate - we saw a 500-600% increase in sales in Nov-Dec and a 300% increase in Jan-Feb. Google shopping has just launched and has yielded over $6k in sales this month alone.
Some of our key products have sold out numerous times and now we're struggling to keep up with the demand for them (which is a good problem to have)!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Kia was so lovely to deal with and really impressed us. We could tell she was really interested in and passionate about our brand. Alana has been amazing and is super responsive and proactive. She emails us weekly and calls monthly and is super committed to delivering results for us every month.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their knowledge and strategic approach to digital marketing are impressive, plus they're across all of the latest social media changes and apps. They're super responsive and proactive and super committed to delivering results for us every month.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We're very happy with the results Megaphone has delivered, but coming from a advertising agency where every aspect needs to be checked and approved by a client first I was used to this process and would have probably preferred that all campaigns be sent for review before going live, for the first few months.
There were just a few typos and spelling issues that needed to be fixed on the first few campaigns. But apart from that we're super happy with Megaphone.

We engaged Megaphone to help build brand & product awareness whilst increasing sales through FB & IG advertising. The challenge we faced was, we were a bootstrapped start-up that not many people knew what we were about. This meant we had to redesign parts of our website, build consumer confidence in our brand & products, whilst driving sales to increase revenue so as we could scale the business rapidly.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to scale and rapidly grow our business through increased sales revenue. This would ultimately give us cashflow and the ability to navigate and drive our business growth in a sustainable manner.
SOLUTION
How did you select Megaphone Marketing?
We began searching for a digital agency and heard loads of horror stories. We decided to utilise Clutch as a great way to gauge honest feedback about digital agencies from other business owners. We narrowed our search down to 3 agencies and had meetings with each one. All 3 where great, but we choose Megaphone because of their experience in similar E-comm subscription models and believed they had the best understanding of our business model.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Megaphone ran paid Facebook and IG advertising for our subscription business. This included writing ad copy, making of ad creatives, optimisation of paid ad accounts as well as general digital marketing advice and consultation. They also implemented EDM flows, produced artwork for our labels, and completed an IT web development project which was rather complex.
What was the team composition?
We worked closely with our Account Manager as our daily POC and we were always kept up to date. We also had input from other team members such as graphic designers, web dev, and marketing specialists. We must say, at the beginning the account manager did a huge amount of the work and was always very efficient. However over time, we noticed inputs from across the entire team at Megaphone, which has been outstanding to access diverse skill sets.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Megaphone continues to run a successful strategy for us which has resulted in an increase in monthly recurring revenue in excess of 1600% over 4 months. For us, these results speak for themselves.

The entire team at Megaphone worked seamlessly with our team. They listened to our feedback and made adjustments to our strategy when needed. They also provided valuable information and explained in detail, whenever we required clarification.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We were impressed by the knowledge and expertise from the entire team. But lets face it...our goal was to increase sales to drive our business. They did exactly that and met every target along the way!
