I’m the founder and CEO of Mobile Associates. We’ve been in business for nine years, and we build mobile applications, platforms, and websites. Additionally, we provide digital marketing services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mediatrenz?

I was getting higher than reasonable prices from our previous offshore development company, so I was looking for a different one to handle our day-to-day operations and manage our client’s projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Mediatrenz helps us with full-stack development for Android and iOS mobile application platforms. They also help us with all the backend development services and web technologies associated with that. We also use hybrid technologies, so they’re basically our full-stack web and mobile development partner.

Although I use other companies for more complex projects, Mediatrenz handles a broader amount of my day-to-day work each month.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with around 10–15 people from Mediatrenz throughout our engagement.

How did you come to work with Mediatrenz?

I had been working with a client who found and reached out to Mediatrenz. This person thought that he could run the project directly with them. However, a person who is not in our industry can’t find success in those types of collaborations if they’re unwilling to donate the power and dedicate their time to working directly with the development company.

Our client brought us in to help him manage and finish their project, and I picked up Mediatrenz as a development company from that project. I had enjoyed working with them so much that I wanted to continue working with them on an ongoing basis. At the time, I was looking for another offshore development company, so our collaboration worked out pretty well.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent over $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Mediatrenz almost four years ago, in 2018, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everyone in my organization enjoys working with Mediatrenz. They’re very helpful, and they act as a true partner. They’re invested in my success while I’m helping them succeed as well, so we’re working towards the same goal.

How did Mediatrenz perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Basecamp to manage our projects, and Mediatrenz’s team is completely integrated into that process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Mediatrenz’s partnership sense is impressive. They are flexible, and they work with us to help us succeed.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be good if Mediatrenz could scale up quickly so that they could deal with more work. They’re a little smaller than the other companies that I’ve worked with, so whenever I need to scale quickly, it is a little harder for them. However, if they’re given enough time, they can scale as needed.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Let them know what skills you need in advance. With enough time ahead, they can get you the people that you need. Additionally, set a clear scope and expectations and hold everybody accountable for the deliverables.
