Maxobiz built and continues to develop the custom software platform that runs our field service operation across Canada. The work started with workflow design, mapping how our operation actually runs before anything was built, and grew from there into a full platform rather than an off-the-shelf product with our name on it. The core system covers dispatch, field management, mapping, inventory, and pay. They built the dispatch tools we use to assign and route work to technicians and dealers nationally, the field management side that technicians work jobs from, and the mapping layer we rely on for coverage, routing, and territory visibility. Inventory management tracks the materials and equipment tied to each job, and the pay controls handle technician rate structures and payout logic. On top of that, they built the API integrations connecting our platform to the multiple external systems our carrier partners require, so job and status data moves between them without manual entry. Beyond the core platform, Maxobiz handled the custom UI and application design throughout, along with our logo and brand work and the design and build of our website. The platform has continued to evolve as we have added new carrier programs and expanded into new provinces, so this has been an ongoing development relationship rather than a single fixed project.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The clearest measure is what the platform lets us run with. We manage over 200 field technicians and dealers across all ten provinces on 50 head office staff. Without this software, I estimate we would need double the office staff, around 100 people, to support a technician network a quarter the size, closer to 50 techs. The platform is the difference between a regional operation and a national one, and it is the reason our administrative overhead has stayed flat while our field network has grown.

Practically, that comes from having dispatch, field management, mapping, inventory, and technician pay in one system instead of separate tools and spreadsheets per carrier, and from the API integrations Maxobiz built into our partners' platforms, which removed the manual data entry that would otherwise scale headcount linearly with job volume. We now run five carrier programs through the same system, and adding new programs and provinces has not required a rebuild or a proportional increase in sta

Project management has been strong, and a lot of that comes down to Adnan, who has been our main point of contact. He has been fantastic to work with. I set tight deadlines, and they consistently meet them. What I value just as much is what happens when they cannot. Instead of quietly missing a date, Adnan tells me up front why it will not work, and more often than not the reason is that my timeline was unrealistic to begin with. That kind of honesty is rare with a development partner and it makes planning far easier on my end, because I can trust the dates I am given rather than building in a buffer for slippage. Responsiveness has been the same story. When we need something changed or added, it gets picked up quickly and the communication stays clear throughout, so I always know where a piece of work stands.

Two things stand out. The first is breadth. Most development shops do one thing well and hand you off for the rest. Maxobiz has handled custom development, the API integrations into the external systems we work with, workflow design, the full application design, our branding, and our website. That means one team holds the whole picture, and I am not managing three vendors who each blame the other when something does not line up.

The second, and the more valuable one, is that they took the time to understand our business. Field service in telecom is not generic. A satellite install in a remote northern community is nothing like a wireline job in a city, and technician pay in this industry has real complexity to it. Maxobiz learned how our operation actually works before building, and they know it well enough now that I can describe what I need in plain terms and they come back with the right thing. I am not re-explaining my own business every time I ask for a change.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Maxobiz could have done differently?

Nothing I can point to. Everybody has their faults and things get dropped occasionally, but what matters to me is what happens next, and Maxobiz always comes back and makes it right. I have not had a complaint with them that has gone unresolved, so I do not have one to raise here.

The app captures clients' data and arranges it into a calendar that my drivers could use to pick up clients and drop them off at their desired destinations.
