I am the Growth leader of an insurtech company called Draivin, that it is currently being developed on a Company Builder named Güil Mobility Ventures.

We are developing an insutech app that will help people have access to more affordable auto insurance. We hired Master Creationz to do all the UX/UI design, including LOGO + LANDING + APP SCREENS

How did you select this vendor?

We searched for and quoted with more than 30 design agencies and freelancers, and we ended up choosing them for the good portfolio and the great budget delivered.

The work process was very fluid from the beginning, we had some sessions in which I introduced them to our idea, we gave them references and they understood it very quickly.

My team worked directly with their UX/UI design team and a project manager.

We have not been able to launch the app yet, but we have already shown it to our potential users and they love it.

The workflow was incredible, we understood each other very well from the beginning

The ability to accept feedback and build on that, it's hard to understand an idea that isn't yours and turn it into a real, dynamic design. They are very patient and will always leave the customer happy.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Status reports on each stage of the project could have been helpful so we could limit any misunderstandings.

I’m the founder of 1 Radio News, an Android app dedicated to world radio news, including both live and on-demand coverage.

We hired the team to take over Android development of 1 Radio News and add new features. 

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to add new features to the pro version of the app to increase paid installs. We also wanted to improve the stability of the main, free version. We needed to keep up with code changes required of newer updates to Android.

How did you select this vendor?

I met Master Creationz via a previous 1 Radio News project. They were a sub-contractor, and they did excellent UX design work for an iOS solution. When I needed work done on my Android version, I selected them based on established trust, reasonable pricing, and quality work.

I identify app issues, particularly errors generated by the new version of Android produced by Google. Then, the team works to fix those problems. We've used a mix of Google Sheets and Google Docs to track and prioritize feature ideas for the Pro version such as widgets and Bluetooth. 

What was the team composition?

Master Creationz has an Android developer and a lead UX person that helps communicate high-level goals and agreements on pricing. We agree on these before the work begins.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1 Radio New app continues to attract significant organic installs on Google Play. We are holding our own despite many competing opportunities for displaying news. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their workflow is fine. I work flexibly with their capacity to work on my project when their priority workload is reduced. This enables me to pay Master Creationz a price I'm satisfied with.

We placed our code in a private repository on GitHub and have used that to engage with our original developer smoothly on a few issues. Their willingness to collaborate has been vital to our overall success. We use Skype chat for 95% of our project communication, and we also have occasional video calls in English. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to work with me over the long-run at a reasonable price is impressive. There are no high-pressure sales or inflated prices.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Letting me know when they are particularly busy with better-paying work would be helpful. But overall, this is a very positive relationship.
