Most businesses are quietly embarrassed by their website. They avoid sharing the link. They apologise before demos. Leadership sidesteps the URL in board presentations. Marketing works around limitations that should have been solved years ago.
Nobody set out to build a website like that. But when IT, marketing, sales, and leadership each have competing priorities, everyone gets a little of what they need and nobody gets what they actually wanted. The website becomes a bottleneck instead of a growth driver — and the whole business pays for it in hesitation, friction, and missed opportunity.
MAJOR was built to change that.
We design and build websites on headless and composable architectures: a fundamentally different approach allowing every team to get exactly what they need, without asking anyone to give something up. Marketing gains editorial independence. Developers work with a clean, modern codebase they're not ashamed to maintain. Leadership gets a platform that performs, scales, and compounds in value over time rather than accumulating debt.
The result isn't just a better website. It's a different relationship with it. One where the whole business feels real confidence - in its direction, its platform, and its growth.
Our work spans headless CMS website builds, brand identity and accelerator projects, design system development, and platform migrations from legacy systems to modern, composable stacks. For businesses that treat their digital platform as a genuine growth driver, our Momentum Partnerships provide ongoing strategic support and full monthly transparency on what's been built and what's next.
We believe a website should be something a business is proud of, not something it apologises for. The right architecture makes that possible.
Confidence isn't something you claim. It's something you build.

MAJOR enhanced the UI/UX design of a software development firm's mobile app. After a discovery session, they designed the app's UI/UX based on the client's required design functions and conducted user testing.
MAJOR delivered a simple yet premium design, and the client was pleased with the outcome. The client rolled out the design to beta testers, and they received positive feedback for the app's speed and simplicity. Moreover, a rail union approved the app with only minimal requests for minor changes.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Senior Product Manager for Tracsis plc with responsibility for the customer experience, ticketing and revenue protection portfolio. Tracsis is a leading software developer and consultancy partner within the UK rail and bus market.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire MAJOR?
Our developers had done a great job building a brand new mobile application (Flutter) relating to the issuing of Penalty Fares and Prosecution Reports within the rail industry. However, despite good technical skills, we lacked specialist UI/UX expertise, which I felt was a critical component given the wide ranging nature of railway staff and unionised attitudes to technology that would utilise our product. We also needed a UI experience that presented a complex process as "simple" and a perception of being "quick".
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
Tracsis plc enjoys a good relationship with Major, and I was aware they have previously delivered some marketing content for other internal business units. After several introductions, I felt they understood the unique challenges facing rail and our business and this useful grounding would be important in our project.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We started by storyboarding our current mobile experience, talking through the problems and challenges I felt the current solution had. We discussed our target audience in detail and the unique environment our product would be used. We allowed Major a broad remit to make suggestions and enhancements of their own volition, emphasising that we would be measuring success by the reactions of our target audience. Regulatory and compulsory design functions or elements were specified and discussed up front.
Process was very simple, and involved some initial scoping exercises, regular remote catchup sessions, face to face contact in Brighton, and concluding with real world user testing (conducted by Major) and passing that feedback to me. After considering the feedback and advice from both user testing and Major, some very useful enhancements were made. Final steps included the full delivery of all the relevant assets and instructions for our developers to implement.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
My team worked with 2/3 senior partners within Major. This included the Operations Director.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I am pleased with the project outcome. It is a professional, intentionally simple but premium design. We have started to roll out the design to BETA testers, and the feedback to date has been positive, with the speed and simplicity of the design remarked upon often. A challenging rail union also approved the solution with only minimal requests for inconsequential minor changes, which was an unusual although positive and very welcome outcome!
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was great with frequent updates. I was pleased that they sought clarification wherever necessary and consistently requested feedback. Suggestions and changes were welcomed and actioned quickly. I felt that MAJOR had a solid understanding of my external challenges throughout and worked to lift that burden.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The main advantage I felt was their personality and attitude to our project. Realistic expectations for both sides were discussed and agreed up front, and maintained throughout. They didn't need (or try) to give me a gimmicky marketing pitch or look for ways to increase costs which made the relationship more relaxed and open. I felt they understood my product and had confidence from the start that they would deliver successfully.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I hope that Major maintain the standards which I have experienced during this project going forwards.

Website Development Services for Independent Hospital
MAJOR worked on multiple web development projects for an independent hospital. They developed the firm's website, integrated another website into it, and built an online booking and payment system for the site.
The company was happy with the results of the collaboration. Around 20% of their weekly bookings came from the website, thanks to MAJOR's work. The team managed the project using Google Spreadsheets and communicated via Slack for catch-up calls. Their resources had excellent technical knowledge.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Communications and Marketing Director for KIMS Hospital, the largest independent hospital in Kent.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire MAJOR, and what were your goals?
The first project we used Major Digital for was to build our new website with the goal of ensuring we attracted private patients via an easy to access and navigate website. The second project we commissioned Major Digital for was to integrate the website of a medical diagnostic centre we acquired. The third project Major have delivered for us was to develop an online booking & payment system for our website, offering a new channel for users to book outpatient appointments. The objectives of the project were to allow users to book online at one of our two locations, and be scalable to allow additional locations to be added in the future. We wanted patients to be able to pay for their appointment up front, or use their private medical insurance.
Finally, the e-commerce site needed to be fast, user-friendly, and simple so that patients can book their own appointments, so that the number of inbound calls to our enquiries teams reduces.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Major Digital from a tender process we ran. Major Digital were successful because we were very impressed with their attention to detail, the care they paid in bringing the project brief to life, tight scope and cost management. The commitment from James Harrington, MD to ensuring the successful deliver was also a key factor.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We supplied a number of user stories to Major Digital for them to understand our requirements, which they used to produce a detailed project specification. After a couple of rounds of amends, we were ready to go. The first step was to produce the look and feel, with interactive wireframes which replicated the customer journey on the e-commerce site. In the background, Major Digital were also working on the framework to the site, and the API connection so that the booking information passed directly into our healthcare CRM. The final step was to connect our payment gateway using an API so that payment was received in our bank accounts, and transactional information was received within our existing systems.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager oversaw the operation, and two developers worked on the programming, UX and design. The managing director also joined calls and meetings which gave us confidence in the project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since launching the e-commerce site, we have been very pleased with the results, with over 20% of our weekly bookings coming online.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We kept a list of outstanding tasks in a Google Sheet, and then communicated via Slack together with regular catch up calls. The team worked incredibly hard to deliver things on time, which included some late evenings and weekends!
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
It's been a pleasure working with Major Digital on the three projects to date, not only because of their technical knowledge in delivering the working product, but from the moment we sent them the brief, they just understood it, which made our lives so much easier.... Plus they're a great bunch who we look forward to meeting for a celebratory drink soon! Nothing is too much trouble and they always work with us to find a solution.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Towards the end of the project we moved to having regular catch up calls with all suppliers involved. In hindsight, this should have been introduced sooner which could have made the project go even smoother.

MAJOR helped a traffic data provider with branding services. After outlining the scope and understanding user personas, they mapped user journeys, created wireframes, and improved every website's content.
MAJOR successfully made all websites accessible on one page with robust UX designs, enabling clients to achieve detailed and consistent branding across their businesses. The team interfaced mainly on ClickUp, Slack, and email, monitoring and communicating progress. Overall, they were professional.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Sales Director for Tracsis Traffic Data, one of the many businesses under the Tracsis umbrella. I have a wider group function to deliver group wide marketing activities and consistent branding and messaging.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire MAJOR, and what were your goals?
We had 13 separate business units operating in silo on the whole. This meant completely disparate and unrelated branding, various websites with different logos and branding, voice and messaging. Our goals were to completely rebrand all business units within Tracsis PLC, with a consistent brand that demonstrated our unified identity. As part of this, Major were also commissioned to start to replace websites and website infrastructure so that the user journey was improved, and the customer had a clear picture of the Tracsis Group, the services we offer, and how these services share synergies and strengths.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
Good reviews, a thorough and well structured proposal and fair costs.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
The preliminary scoping work for each website was very detailed, Major took the time to understand the persona(s) of the users of each website, undertaking CVP exercises with various stakeholders in the business, and mapping user journeys through the website. This was then transposed across to a new IA/wireframe for each website. The content was carefully considered and had a copywriter tweak it throughout the process. The project involved pulling together a large group of company websites, as well as replacing some, so Major created a global page where you could navigate to any site clearly and easily. The consistent branding Major created meant it was clear all businesses were part of the group and despite moving around different URLs when navigating the site, the end user has a smooth experience. All websites as part of this project were delivered on schedule despite changing priorities, even at the last minute.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Around 5 team members, Amy Project Manager, James- Managing Director, Davs- Technical Director, Andy- Creative Director, Martyn- Operations Director.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have a thoroughly consistent brand across the business, and a group of websites that operate as one from a user experience, with a robust look and feel, exactly what was intended. Check www.tracsis.com
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project Management was clear, and we were well attended to. Major like to use various software packages, such as Click Up, which were new to us but were easy to understand and track progress. Communication was clear and we were kept up to speed with the finer details of the project via Slack and email where appropriate.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
A relaxed but professional environment, strong visual identity which was evident in our new branding and very relevant experience in the market.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
None.

MAJOR built a website for a trade union. They initially conducted user research before designing and developing the site.
MAJOR's work led to an increase in the client's site traffic and membership numbers and a reduction in their bounce rate. Transparent and collaborative, the team communicated well and led regular meetings throughout. They were flexible, responsive, reliable, and empathetic to the client's needs.
The client submitted this review online.
BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am responsible for developing all things digital at the Musicians' Union in order for MU members to have better experiences and accessible services online.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire MAJOR, and what were your goals?
The MU website was outdated and didn't serve its purpose. We started to work with MAJOR to identify the needs and requirements of our members and the Union, to build a suitable website.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We provided a project brief to several web development agencies specialising in Kentico CMS development. Flexibility, ability to work with third parties (ie CRM integration), willingness to work closely with the client (myself) and costs were the key deciding factors.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The first important step was to do a user research, as well as to assess the systems already in place, and how they work together. Early on, our priority became the information architecture, and the content and design flexibility allowing the MU to respond to changes quickly. Together, this helped us to build an accessible and user-friendly website, which was dramatically different from the previous one. MAJOR applied different methodologies and tools to lead the project from user research to project definition. As an organisation, we also learned a lot more about our members in the process.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Our primary contacts were three people: account manager, designer and web developer - all at different capacity in different steps of the project.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Improved SEO traffic, reduced bounce rate, growing membership numbers
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
While having weekly and on-demand meetings, we also utilised slack for communication, and sometimes email. It was useful to have focused meetings just with the people involved in the project steps, with no wasted time on admin. The project timeline was being updated regularly, with realistic project updates on the go.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Flexible, reliable and empathetic to the client's needs (and their audience!). I found working with MAJOR very easy, and their responsiveness was at an utmost professional level. It's a great combination to have someone as reliable as MAJOR are, yet casual in communication and work approach.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
There we a few tool changes in the process, however, i didn't find that disruptive to the project.

BACKGROUND
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Sales Director for a company that specialises in ultra-high vacuum motion components used globally for scientific research.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire MAJOR, and what were your goals?
We were looking to improve the performance of the website in terms of speed and ease of navigation. Customers mainly visit the website to find product specifications and download 3D models. By improving the customer journey we will increase leads and improve brand awareness.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Major worked on the initial website refresh project in 2016 and did such a fantastic job we wanted to use them again. They were initially selected from a shortlist of 4 potential customers as they clearly understood the challenges of B2B marketing in complex technical markets. Major were open and honest in the selection process making the decision to use them an easy one.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
After an initial discovery call, Major created a project proposal that clearly laid out the key objectives for the project along with projected timeline and costs. As the project progressed, regular meetings were held to provide updates or clarifications. Major redeveloped our site to use a high performance JAMstack front-end with headless CMS for key areas of the website that would require updating.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
There was a deicated project manager with regular contact with the senior management team at Major along with the technical and creative teams.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The redesign has exceeded our expectations in terms of performance (it is incredibly fast to deliver the content) and we have had very positive feedback on the changes to navigation. in addition to the performance benefits, Major have also reduced the monthly costs associated with hosting and the CMS system.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Excellent communication through the entire project via email and regular Teams meetings (and also after delivery). During the design & build phase they used a very efficient online review and comment system. They maintain a friendly, open,, honest stype of communication at all times.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We work in a very niche scientific business. They were quick to understand our particular challenges and advised on how to improve certain aspects of our B2B site. They respond quickly and are a pleasure to deal with. For this project we did not consider using anyone else.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Genuinley nothing comes to mind. Outstanding from start to finish (and past launch).
