Your core system can't go down. Your next release can't wait six months.
Luby is an engineering company for fintechs and financial institutions, building core banking, payments and AI-powered financial products since 2002, from an office in Miami and a delivery center in Brazil.
Rather than generic AI consulting or traditional dev shop body shopping, we take ownership of engineering outcomes across three pillars:
1. AI-Native Product Engineering. End-to-end development where AI agents, automated testing and reusable capabilities carry the repetitive work, and our architects carry the decisions. Fewer handoffs, faster releases, no loss of control.
2. AI Legacy Modernization. Refactoring and migrating complex enterprise codebases without taking the system offline. This is the problem we are called in for most.
3. Agentic Workflows & Integration. Domain-specific AI agents embedded directly into enterprise software, with the fraud controls and audit trails regulators expect around them.
Industries we work in. Financial services, manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, automotive, education and retail. From core banking and payments to manufacturing execution systems and healthcare platforms serving 200,000 members.
How we work. Full product teams, not staffing. Our engineers are in-house and senior, with no subcontractors in the chain. ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certified, AWS and Google Cloud partners.
What that has produced: a remittance platform at 13 million users, a BaaS core running at 99.99% uptime across 50+ clients, an AI bill-payment app past 550,000 payments processed, and a US community bank that raised digital adoption 45%.
Luby Tecnologia SA offers good value for cost, consistently delivering projects on time and often under budget. Specific costs mentioned include $200,000 for one client and $500,000 for another, indicating flexibility in pricing based on project scope.

A P2P marketplace hired Luby Technology to provide mobile app development. Their efforts also include UI/UX design for the product, which will be available for iOS and Android platforms.
The client is delighted with Luby Technology's work quality and states that artists are eager to use the app they're developing. They lead a communicative approach to ensure a solid project management experience. The team also praises their commitment and professionalism throughout the engagement.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this
client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO and founder of iGig, a peer-to-peer marketplace for entertainment services.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Luby Technology?
We needed help with mobile development for our business.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Luby Technology is doing full stack design and development for us. The project has been going from designing the app, project management of the process, the actual building of the platform, and the deployment to iOS and Android platforms. I provided them with wireframes and a requirements document, and they took it from there.
The platform is a marketplace, so there are buyers and sellers. The enrollment includes creating profiles, the users' availability, the booking of services for these users, and the transaction and payment management for these bookings.
The target market is musicians, who are the sellers, and the people who want to hire those musicians, who are the buyers — it's like Uber Eats and Airbnb for artists. Users can see who is in their area, how much they cost, how soon they can get there, and what they do.
What is the team composition?
I've worked with approximately nine people from their team, including four developers, two designers, and two project managers.
How did you come to work with Luby Technology?
I found them through a web search. I engaged with them because of their experience building service apps, which required availability and reservation capability. Also, the people I interacted with were of high caliber.
How much have you invested in them?
I've spent about $150,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in September 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I've been delighted with the quality of their work. They've also seen potential issues I didn’t see and are proactive in making suggestions to create an easier UX.
We hope to publish the app in the app stores next month — artists cannot wait to use it because there isn’t anything like it on the market.
How did Luby Technology perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is good — I'm pretty pleased with the communication. We mostly used Trello for project management, Slack for communication, and Adobe for storyboarding and mock-ups.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They're very committed to providing a professional end product — their platform looks on par with any professional app I've used. This isn't an amateur deliverable; it's polished, well thought through, and above my requirements.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could document and communicate the scope of each sprint a little better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My first suggestion would be to try them in terms of advice to get the most out of them — they're a very good firm, and I'd recommend them to anyone. I'd also advise having a documented scope for each sprint that both parties sign off on.

Domper hired Luby to assist in the development of a new ERP, developed in a new language and with a cloud platform, different from the desk systems we currently have. The main idea of ERP is to merge the 3 Delphi systems that we currently have, in a single product, in a more current platform with more technology and resources, modularizing and configuring according to the needs of each client. As this is a very complex and extensive project, deliveries will be divided into stages, and at first we are prioritizing the Caderno de Campo module, specifically for Agro customers. client over the phone. Below is an edited
transcript.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the COO and CTO at USEND. We’re a syntax or a NeoBank, and we provide financial services to the US, Canada, and Brazil.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Luby Software?
We needed help for our ongoing software development of assets and products, specifically on the mobile side.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Luby Software works in a way in which we outsource engineers that work full-time and exclusively for us, except that the payroll is handled by their team. Our project management is in-house, so they just assign development tasks for them to execute. They work in conjunction with our internal team on development for different projects, specifically for mobile applications.
What is the team composition?
We work specifically with Alon (Founder & CEO) and another person on the engineering side from their team.
How did you come to work with Luby Software?
We got an introduction through somebody we knew. They were the first company that we were considering outsourcing for all the development.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $400,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2018, and the partnership is ongoing.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We work on methodology sprints and Luby Software has been executing on everything we proposed. They’ve been meeting every goal, and the product is working. Our QA department has tested the quality of the product and we’ve been very happy with it — that’s why we still use them as our resource not so many years later.
How did Luby Software perform from a project management standpoint?
The project management is through a direct employee of ours, and we get reports every week about the progress of the project. Whenever there is an issue, they address it right away and they are really on top of facts. We never leave reviews for our vendors, but when they requested us we were quite happy. They’ve been doing phenomenal — we’re happy with their performance.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive aspect about Luby Software is their honesty. When you outsource a third-party company, honesty and transparency around billing along the way are greatly appreciated. We’ve grown tremendously as a company, and they’ve been able to sustain our needs as we grow.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that they could improve. We’re extremely happy with everything they’ve done for us — they have to stay the same.
Any advice for potential customers?
We manage our project management in-house, so I don’t know what it is like when they do the project management. I know that now they offer those services. However, we were very successful when managed by us. The goals and expectations were set up internally, and we utilized them for the execution. That has worked very well for us.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
For what projects/services did your company hire Luby Software?

Increase the overall bandwidth, expertise, agility and reactivity of our Engineering team

Depending the project, talents provided by Luby were Software engineers, UI/UX engineers, dev ops architects and even Key Account managers
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Given our history and objectives, the main positive outcome of our partnership with Luby is that our Engineering and Product team now believes we can achieve more, faster while remaining within quality spec by relying on external resources. Luby is considered as a true extension of Foxtrot team, able to add talented and experienced resources.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We were very sensible to that aspect during the selection process. The ability to interact with our team, the ability to speak the same language, the ability to respond fast are definitively part of Luby's DNA
What did you find most impressive about this company?
What is the most impressive with Luby is its reactivity and ability to really understand the specificity of our needs to come back with a tailored solution. This unique ability is driven by the top, meaning directly by the Founder and CEO of that company. It is rare in a company of that size to still have the ability to deal with the top leader of that company.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Make sure all the people you deal with speak proper English so that the dialog is fluid and easy with your own team
