That year, a new government initiative came through with the aim to regulate the betting industry. Its goal was to accurately monitor the behavior of betting companies, to ensure compliance with the law and combat fraud. Also, it was required to accurately calculate the rather high taxes they should’ve paid to the government budget. We were also building the project on top of our custom software for container management, called NOVA, and this was an important point for us, as the scale this project was at was a major test for this platform.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a crazy deadline for project completion. The development team was running behind schedule, and the DevOps team had only two months to implement the behemoth infrastructure for the project, which had to process tens of thousands requests per second under peak conditions. On the other hand, the deadline was imposed by the local government, and we had zero chance to move it.

Loovatech team was able to deliver the project in these circumstances, working overtime and on weekends, to push it through. We were able to launch on time, and handle the first clients that were connected to the system on day one, and the NOVA container system we’ve been putting our bets on was able to withstand this challenge, an achievement that Loovatech engineers put considerable effort into by getting its configuration just right.

We integrated loovatech engineers deep into our team, they were working with our project managers, engineers and NOVA platform developers. It was direct communication via messenger groups and voice calls, so we were pretty satisfied with the response times.

Loovatech engineers can work under stressful conditions, which is exactly what a launch of a critical service is. We could rely on them to push it to success, and I appreciated the fact they were working after hours to make sure we got there on time. Also, they were able to build a solution on a new platform for them, in a short amount of time, which was nothing short of impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Loovatech could have done differently?

We were satisfied with the service and communication, and the results, but we would appreciate a discount, cause we were buying a sizable amount of man-hours. Besides that, no complaints.

Together with Loovatech, we spent a month developing a solution concept and analyzing similar products. After that they create a technical architecture and UI-design of the application. Further development was organized in two stages. During the first stage, the scenario of making an order was implemented.

During the second stage, additional scenarios were implemented - notifications, work with the cart, etc. After the development was completed, the contractor helped us publish applications in the Apple AppStore and Android Play.

Thus we got:

• Sales representatives can now place orders using the mobile app, and the marketing department now has the opportunity to communicate with representatives through push notifications, which increases user engagement.
• More than 30% of our representatives have already downloaded the mobile application.

We needed Loovatech to develop a mobile app to manage factory floor risks and incidents.

Loovatech developed our OS and Android app which allows employees to input risks and incidents that occur on the factory floor. The app then notifies the appropriate employees to resolve the issue. We had an initial discussion about the challenge we’re facing and they've come up with the proper solution for us.

Loovatech has developed a product that solved our factory floor issue. The team takes ownership of their work and cares about how the end product affects our business. Before the initiation of development, Loovatech helped us to create a vision for the product. We were choosing between in-house and external teams for MVP development and ended up selecting Loovatech due to the predictable budget and schedule of the project.

They performed a thorough market analysis for us and helped us to come up with a strategy and product concept. In the next step, they have developed the architecture and the user interface of the product. The first version of the product was launched in three months and helped us to score the first enterprise sale. The product was developed using Python / Django on the backend, Vue.js on the frontend, and Docker for running services.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We could make the first enterprise sale within three months of the project initiation. Later adding more than ten clients to our sales pipeline , thanks to a predictable budget and delivery we could focus on sales and marketing of the product.

Project management was a breeze as PMs were deeply involved with our team, and facilitated all next steps. PMs were involved in our daily scrums in Teams to assist in the next steps.

This company was highly involved in our processes and tasks, clearly valued long-term relationships and invested in mutual collaborations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

1. Sometimes there were issues with the number of bugs delivered to production. Although, promptly resolved I wish this would be avoided in the first place.
2. The release cycle could be shorter, preferably reduced to two weeks instead of four weeks.

The task of the project was to gather the target audience of the main company on a single platform. We came to Loovatech with the idea of creating a platform on which we could post the dates of film events that we organize. Since the timeline for the project was very short, we started the development right away. In 2 months we launched an MVP and tested the solution at the first movie premiere. After some refinements, the project was fully launched. 

It included a convenient catalog of premieres and cinemas, search, ticket filter for premieres, and a full-fledged news feed. Loovatech provided technical support for the project for almost 2 years, until the project went on a hiatus. Over the course of the project with Loovatech, about 80 movie premieres were held and more than 12,000 subscribers were attracted.

At first, Loovatech conducted an analysis of the technical state of the portal and gathered our requirements for improvement. Then they developed a technical specification and began development. They created: 

• a new interface with a well-thought-out customer journey with multiple different behavior scenarios; 
• functions for managing content and search tools for the portal; 
• a convenient system of managing a portal for administrators. 

Over 1500+ web pages were transferred from the previous version of the portal.

The old portal had two main problems - low conversion of new users into course buyers and poor indexing in search engines. Loovatech resolved these issues and we started meeting the project`s KPI. Additionally, working became much more convenient.
