I am the owner of Tanya Doan Art. I create fun and playful original art and merchandise based on it.

For what projects/services did your company hire Linéa Digital, and what were your goals?

I required a Shopify theme design and store development to promote my work and sell pieces I create. Before this, all I had was a portfolio site and wished to expand. The goal was to produce a Shopify store to both promote and sell my art works.

The site needed to showcase my art without distraction, and provide a clean simple experience to allow visitors to purchase products. The site needed to be fast, have good content, and SEO and we needed to be able to update the site ourselves.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Linea Digital and Alex were recommended. I looked at the Shopify store he'd built before and after talking about cost and timescales, decided to hire Alex. I felt confident he could come up with a good design concept based on my mood boards.

We decided earlier on that Shopify was the best option for my needs of combining the online shop with portfolio. I had a limited budget and Alex had a lot of experience building with Shopify. Alex produced initial design concepts in Adobe XD and once we had agreed on the final design and concept he started to build the theme while I collected my content and imagery.

We used Slack and regular phone calls to keep in contact throughout the project. We drew out a rough plan between us to build a couple of different templates for the site; homepage, collections, products, general page content and a custom gallery page. Alex builds in an agile way, so we iterated the design throughout the build process until we were both happy.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We wanted something fast and usable and this is what was delivered. Despite the high number of images used average page load for the site is about 2 seconds and performs well. Overall, the site was clean and worked perfectly for my branding.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We communicated using Slack and we also spoke daily to summarize work done and to clear up anything that needed to be discussed. Alex was always quick to respond to any questions or small changes.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

His knowledge about all things e-commerce was great, Alex has worked with a lot clients in this industry and knows his stuff. He provided expert consultation on my initial design requests for the site and made sure they worked within the Shopify platform.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, everything was a great experience!

I am the founder of Dazze Studio. Our purpose is to break away from the eCommerce sameness by building original online experiences.

We required a reputable developer to build an eCommerce website for one of our clients. Coming from a eCommerce background, Alex also gave valuable input and feedback during the design phase. The goal was simple - develop a website that was optimised, so no unnecessary plugins or page builders were installed, and the website be future proof, ready for continued optimisation and developments.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with Alex on a number of other projects prior to this one. Alex always provides solutions no matter the requirement. It was a no brainer for us to work together.

We supplied the approved designs and kicked things off with a discovery meeting over a few days. We then planned out each section, the functionality and placement throughout the website with a detailed development document that we continually updated together. Wordpress and WooCommerce were the core technologies of the website, ACF played a leading role in creating the page modules shown on the front-end.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with Alex throughout the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We launched the website with an average page loading speed of 1.5 seconds across all devices. Plugins were kept to a minimum and to this day, Feb 2022, the website continue to perform incredibly well.

We communicated using Slack and Notion on more or less a daily basis. Anything that was not clear was communicated over a call and then confirmed digitally.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There was always a solution to every challenge. WooCommerce, like many eCommerce platforms, does have some limitations. One or two design requests were not possible so a solution had to be found. Alex provided a number of solutions, and on occasions helped improve the final outcome.
