Their price-point was higher than other web developers because their approach promised more flexibility in the final design. For an agency that's starting out and might still pivot, this was a perfect solution.

We're super happy with the final deliverable. The website has been built according to design, and where Lengin felt that the design should be improved or be more consistent, they did not hesitate to reach out and show initiative.

Very responsive, available every day of the week and very polite and pleasant. They use Slack and Clickup. My design was done in Figma and they had access to the platform to retrieve the designs.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Lengin is based in Ukraine, and despite missiles falling down on their cities and family members that ended in the hospital, they were available to us and responsive. Their dev got sick and had to be operated, but he was already back online the day after his operation. I praise them for their true fighting spirit, persistence, bravery and resourcefulness.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I ended up figuring out some of the animations myself, by finding tools to turn flat design into animated SVG.

The developer makes deep logic programming on Javascript/Vue.js, UI/UX tasks, and writing Front end tests to ensure that platform will work stable and without bugs.

We work in Jira, and the developer always covers planned sprints and his tasks. He does great code review for team members and much more…

Project management by Taras is extremely professional and efficient. Taras takes full ownership of his tasks and is genuinely interested in providing the best solutions for his clients. He often intervenes with useful suggestions, he keeps in mind the big picture and the business perspective, while delivering very high quality implementation of tasks.

I particularly appreciate that he always respects his clients final words on decisions, but at the same time he is willing to contribute a lot of sensible advice and suggestions. In this sense, Lengin largely exceeded our expectations. Another remarkable quality is that the whole team is very open to discuss feedback, and any issue that we raised was met with strong dedication to find a solution. There was a high level of communication, quick understanding of deliverables, and they’re great out of the box thinkers. They were very proactive and always provided different ideas and options on how ideas can be implemented. They converted a new front end design for roughly 30 pages; producing new styles for all types of data, information and inputs. The deliverables work well on all devices and screens.

I’m the digital project manager for Everbrave Branding Group, and we’re a digital marketing agency that focuses on growth and client retention.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lengin?

Since we’re a digital marketing agency, we mainly develop on existing platforms such as HubSpot and WordPress. In doing that, we have to find the right balance between using marketing benefits that come from these existing platforms for tracking, and auditing performance. Lengin has given us real value in supporting our development efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our partnership with them varies from project to project. Oftentimes we create technical briefs that outline the full scope of the effort and deliverables, which can get as granular as those high-level elements and transitional effects. We usually provide the brief in a word document where they will then go through each item’s deliverable, to ascertain the total scope of the project.

Once that’s done, we determine the budget, make adaptations of the work if necessary, and establish a schedule to see what the production pipeline is going to look like in terms of timing.

In a web capacity, we’ll run discovery sessions with the client to know their challenges, goals, and figure out how we’re going to the finish line. After that, we’ll run an SEO program to identify what nomenclature and keyword strings are being used by their target audience, and if we’re building the website’s information architecture accurately to what people are searching online.

Basically, Lengin acts as our full-service web development agency. They create the content plan, outline and build the wireframes, and provide us with a high-fidelity design phase.

We’ve probably spent somewhere between $50,000–$100,000.

Our company has been working with them since December 2019, and the partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I run a comprehensive QA review at the end of each project, and there are always going to be some minor tweaks and fixes that we need to make, based on the variety of devices and browser requirements. However, at the end of the day, everything loads really well from a pure development perspective. There are also never any functional issues and everything is accurately replicated in a development format.

Additionally, there’s the overall delivery where everything’s integrated really well with whatever CMS platform we’re using. When we consider all that, Lengin just hits their mark every time, and that’s why we continue to work with them.

How did Lengin perform from a project management standpoint?

They always hit their deadlines, and if there are any delays to the project, it’s usually because of the client’s inability to meet their deadlines on reviews and approvals. On rare occasions, I see them exceeding the budget whenever the client grows the scope and decides to add extra features, so that’s always understandable.

Furthermore, their team is also transparent and diligent in establishing tracking details. We have a really nice congruency between what my expectations are and what their deliverables are, and I attribute that to the fact that they’re excellent at managing the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with the quality of the end product that makes everything run smoothly on our end, and it’s what allows us to retain our clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think they do. Given the framework in which we operate within, I think that they’re always really diligent.

We have chance to place different forms and buttons. They know how to adapt it with your custom design, even how to customize functionality. One of the challenges Lengin solved on high level was to implement Calculator builder. They developed for us opportunity make our custom calculator with adding any amount of questions, functions between questions like: sum, multiplication, kind of input (selection, multi checkboxes), specific logic - if you choose variant B then we skip next question and many other functions to build our custom calculators by ourself.
