I’m the marketing manager for Ubuntu Real Estate. We manage investment capital in Mexico City and Miami.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lazzo?

We were lost and had no time or people to help us with website development and branding.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lazzo provides development and branding services for our startup. Since the first day of our collaboration, it was easy to talk to them and explain our needs. They understood everything, and the team members were young, so we liked their ideas. It took us 2–3 months to determine what we needed because we kept changing the designs.

They started with the logo, slogan, colors, and brand personality. They’ve also done copywriting for the website and social media posts.

What is the team composition?

We’ve worked with 5–7 people, including Jeff (Lead Generation Manager), César (Co-Founder), and a designer.

How did you come to work with Lazzo?

We found them online. We searched for the best marketing agencies and found a list of seven companies. Lazzo was number two. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $6,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started in August 2021, and our relationship is ongoing. We were really pleased with what they did, so they now work on two startups for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We closed two investments on the first week that the website was up and running, so we knew right away that it was successful.

How did Lazzo perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s been amazing; we enjoy their project management. They have different apps to communicate with us, and the team is always fast and well-organized. Also, they have people committed to updating us on what they’re doing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re young, so they have fresh ideas and designs. Lazzo’s team is updated — they know the terrain and what’s working right now. All their advice has felt right.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the beginning, they gave us a document to fill in to tell them about our company. It was a brief on the branding side so they could understand the company’s personality and brand objectives. However, the process took a lot of time, and it had many questions. It may not be necessary.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don’t be shy to talk to them; they’re all very helpful. Also, don’t be ashamed to tell them if you don’t like their designs or proposals. Lazzo’s team will listen to you and fix it.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lazzo?

I wanted to make an e-commerce site, so I reached out to César (Co-Founder).

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lazzo built my Shopify store. They have a well-organized procedure where they gave me a proposal with what the service covered, and they went through analysis, identifying all the problems and finding solutions. They also created the user experience based on what my clients were expecting.

The site has a responsive design and features a blog, an email contact form, and a chatbot. Customers can see how much more they need to order before they get free shipping.

What is the team composition?

Jeff (Lead Generation Manager) acted as customer experience manager. He inquired about how the project was going, and he helped me pick images, widgets, and other elements. Raul (Co-Founder) also consulted with me and gave me some ideas.

How did you come to work with Lazzo?

I came across Lazzo’s web page, looked at their portfolio, and liked what I saw.

How much have you invested with them?

They’re charging me around $2,500 at the end of the project. I’ve paid them 50%, and I’ll cover the rest after they deliver the site.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with Lazzo in March 2021, and the project is ongoing.

We’ve tested the site, and it’s working pretty well. I love everything about the web page.

How did Lazzo perform from a project management standpoint?

They respond quickly, and they delivered everything on time — I have no problems with them. They use Slack internally, but with me, most of the communication is through email and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They stand out in terms of customer support and experience. I’ve worked with another developer on a WordPress website, but they were six months late and gave me trash at the end. Lazzo’s design, organization, and customer service are outstanding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on at the moment.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Treat them like friends; they’re friendly people.

I'm the former marketing specialist for a Customs and Logistics company.

For what projects/services did your company hire Lazzo, and what were your goals?

We wanted a fully renovated website, that protected the professionalism of our services and relevance in the logistics industry.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After making my research and talking with 5 different companies Lazzo really stood out with their creative proposal, knowledge in the industry and price ranges.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss goals and objectives, we established the brand voice, competitive analysis, and also the wireframes of the website. After that, we had weekly or bimonthly meetings to review progress. Also with the markup tool we were able to make comments in real time while they were constructing the website.

We used Slack and email to communicate and zoom to do the meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with the way they presented their ideas and listen to our needs and ultimately, feedback.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In the end, as I was leaving the company we needed to work faster and sadly we didn't make the deadline.
