Introduce your business and what you do there.

We develop human-like intelligence in general-purpose robots; we combine hardware and software and provide labor as a service to our customers. One of us is responsible for company operations, and one of us leads both the frontend UI and backend services used to communicate with our technology platform. 

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Latero Labs Inc.?

We required deep expertise to set up a UI/UX interface because we’re developing something that hasn’t been done before.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Latero worked with our organization to design an interactive UI/UX interface. Their involvement began from the ideation stage, working with our internal stakeholders to gather requirements, then designing a workflow and redesigning the initial prototype to produce a new UI/UX frontend.

What is the team composition?

Latero’s team consists of a partner, project manager, product manager, and multiple software engineers.

How did you come to work with Latero Labs Inc.?

We evaluated a handful of companies that had the necessary expertise to satisfy our requirements. We shortlisted a couple of organizations, and ultimately decided to work with Latero Labs Inc. because their credentials and design philosophy were most suited to the needs of our organization.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in December 2021, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The initial UX design was done quite quickly and gave us a good idea of what they would deliver. We track feature requests, delivery of those features, and usability by working with the software. Most of the metrics are internally focused because the main users are people who work for our company.

How did Latero Labs Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

They are generally quite good with project management. Overall, their time management has been good and we have been satisfied with their delivery. Latero Labs was adaptable to our internal changes to project management and worked with us to create a fast feedback loop.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are adaptable, great communicators, listen to feedback, and implement changes quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We are satisfied with our engagement with Latero Labs. There are no obvious areas for improvement. All customers always want faster delivery, but it comes down to clear expectations and alignment.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If you’re still struggling to understand what you’re trying to deliver, Latero is a great partner for prototyping, building proof of concepts, and iterating quickly. We’ve had a lot of changes in the design process, and they’ve been excellent about moving through that process with us. They're a great partner if you’re looking to build something that hasn’t been done before.
