It's difficult to say what value they brought us over the last few years other than a few support phone calls. We have tried to measure the value with no luck.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Lantium could have done differently?

Although we had discussed and agreed to specific contract terms regarding renewals, Lantium refused to put these into writing in favor of a gentleman's handshake. We should have known better than to trust their word. They forced us into a new annual agreement holding us hostage as they held the licenses to security software they installed and managed on all of our equipment. And even though we reduced the number of users requiring their support, they refused to accommodate this. Therefore, we are paying them for them to do nothing. We tried to work with them, but instead of accommodating our unique needs, they refused to cooperate.
