What was the scope of their involvement?

Kurieta LLC has designed and developed our website using PHP. I've given them the idea, and they've used their resources to design and code the site. Initially, the team sent over a proposal and an outline detailing what each stage of the development would look like. The proposal included Kurieta LLC's commitment and my responsibility to help them meet the deadlines set.

The website offers a social media outlet for users where they can store data regarding their favorite sizes, brands, colors, and styles of clothes. Another feature of the website is a messaging system. Once users sign up, the site automatically populates their friends into the messaging portion of the website. When it comes time to send a message, that individual is already visible to the user’s view.

The site also has a birthday feature. As a user’s birthday approaches, that birthday is made visible to other users so that they can visit their page and look at their wishlist. Kurieta LLC continues to provide us with maintenance and implementation services.

I’m familiar with Kurieta LLC's owner and Muskan (the Former Project Manager), but there are more people behind the scenes that I’ve never spoken with.

How did you come to work with Kurieta LLC?

I found them online. I wanted a company with good communication and quality of work. Kurieta LLC's owner spent about two hours with me on the phone. He was very patient and guided me through what the process would look like. After that, we agreed to sign an NDA.

We started working together in August 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

Kurieta LLC has exceeded my expectations. I trusted the team throughout the development process.  

How did Kurieta LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly use email, but we also use Google Meet and Slack for communicatoin. I've spoken with the owner via email and phone. Kurieta LLC has also been accommodating regarding pricing to add the features I wanted on the site. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I’d like to give a shout-out to the owner. He’s given me an opportunity as a small business owner and entrepreneur to get started. He’s guided me through uncharted territory because I’m not an IT person. He’s helped me understand the process and has given me a few pointers on how to make the site more attractive to users.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Kurieta LLC's communication has been superb, which is one of the main reasons I chose the company.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since I’m a novice in the tech world, it would’ve been helpful if they’d explained that everything was a la carte. For example, I thought that users deleting a wish on the page after creating one was a standard feature. However, that wasn’t the case. Things like that need to be communicated upfront or included in the overall pricing because those are just basic functionalities that every user is going to need.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, and be transparent with your ideas and budget.

I’m the owner of Affordable Notary Services. We do general notarizations for the public and conduct loan signings for people purchasing, selling, or refinancing their homes or needing a loan modification.

I needed to build my business’ website. I had been in business for two years and never had a website because I couldn’t do it myself.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kurieta LLC developed a website from scratch. Initially, I provided them with information about our pricing and information about me, the business, and our different services.

The site included a drop-down menu and a form customers could fill in. The form could automatically generate an email so we could respond to the customers. Kurieta LLC also found the pictures I requested and added them to the site. They used WordPress and also went onto my Google profile.

We worked with two developers.

One of their employees needed some documents notarized and contacted my service. When I met with him and did the notarization, I inquired about their service. I wasn’t quite ready yet, but I spoke to him and hired them.

Vikrant (Founder & CEO) was awesome at communicating with me and ensuring everything was done to my satisfaction. The other person who worked on the website was also very helpful. Both of them were very professional; they did an excellent job explaining the process to me.

We’ve also sent them additional information on our requirements based on a template they’ve given us. Following that, their team has come back to us with a proposal for the structure and content of the website.

Regarding features, the site has different pages with information about us and our services. Kurieta LLC has also given us options regarding the tools and technologies they’d use to build the platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website that Kurieta LLC is creating for us looks competitive and has helped with our bidding processes whenever we apply for projects. They’ve delivered a 90% accurate product just a couple of weeks after gathering information about our requirements. We’ve just had to make minor adjustments. Regarding the site, the platform is very fast and works great.

Kurieta LLC’s project management has been a pleasant surprise regarding on-time deliveries, communication, and their ability to stay within budget. In terms of tools, we use phone calls and Zoom.

Kurieta LLC is very fast with deliveries and engaged with the project to ensure they tailor-make everything for us according to our needs and requirements.

They could improve their communication with their clients by using layperson’s terms rather than higher-skill level English. This is not a big deal, but it can help them improve.

Sometimes it might seem that Kurieta LLC’s team asks a lot of questions, but that’s because they’re trying to gather as much information as possible. I recommend trying to answer those questions as best as you can because that’ll enable them to come back with a great product.

We needed help with branding and website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Kurieta has developed our website and branding. Initially, they interviewed people from our company, including the main partners, me, and some others. During those interviews, they gathered information about us, which helped them understand our industry.

Additionally, Kurieta did market research and looked into several of our competitors in the area to see their market presence. Their team also did a lot of other backend work and came back with a presentation showing us the different companies in the market to help us understand our positioning.

After that, Kurieta started with our branding work. The main deliverables included a new logo, a new color scheme, our mission statement, and our company values. Once they finished with the branding, Kurieta designed and developed a new website for us from scratch using WordPress. Now, they’re in charge of its maintenance.

Ours is a pretty basic website. It shows our contact information, a meet the team section, our history, and details about our work and area of specialization. If users have an inquiry to make, they can do it through the site and send us their questions. Additionally, our site has buttons for our LinkedIn and Instagram pages, and they can also download brochures and information on the site.

We really love the branding that Kurieta has developed for us; it has been a positive change for our company. On top of that, the website they’ve developed for us is great — its design and content are outstanding. Given that we’ve requested some changes here and there, our new branding is yet to be launched publicly. We hope we can launch it next week.

Kurieta is good at managing our budget. A $10,000 spend was expected, given the amount of work they’ve done for us in order to bring our website and branding to life. We use Asana for project management and communicate via phone and email.

I can’t think of anything Kurieta could improve on. As long as they do a good job, I’m fine with them, and everything has been great so far.

Everything was very organized on Trello and I was able to see updates as the project progresses. All the milestones except a couple were on time and Kurieta always listed to my needs and requirements.
