Kurb Media is a small senior tech consultancy based in Richmond, Virginia, with over 20 years of experience building web apps, mobile apps, and connected devices, and leading the teams behind them. Clients work directly with experienced technical leaders, not a rotating bench.
Fractional CTO and consulting. We take a seat at the table for startups and portfolio companies: technical direction, architecture and code review, dev team leadership, roadmap and vendor decisions. For investors, we run technical due diligence and deliver a written report with risks ranked by severity before the deal closes. We also help founders who built apps with AI coding tools get them stable, secure, and ready for real users.
Digital product design and development. Web apps, cross-platform mobile apps, IoT devices, and applied AI. Engagements start with a two-week sprint that produces a roadmap, architecture plan, interactive prototype, and scoped estimate. From there we build the MVP and stay on as your product team.
Accessibility testing. Manual audits against the WCAG standard you need to meet, using keyboard, zoom, and screen readers. You get a detailed PDF report, and we can guide your team through fixes or make them ourselves.
