KSB Technologies initiated the process by implementing a location tool on our website, simplifying the search for our various branches. Subsequently, discussions regarding the CRM ensued. They provided a quote, a visual overview of the setup, and a comprehensive dialogue to align precisely with our requirements. A comprehensive document, meticulously detailing all features, was collaboratively crafted. 

KSB Technologies embarked on building our CRM from scratch, utilizing Laravel to ensure a bespoke solution. Their work ensured seamless integration of 50-200 locations without necessitating adjustments. Numerous tools and features were integrated into the CRM, including tailored adaptations to cater to our unique needs. Attendance tracking, client records, and registration were incorporated. 

The CRM facilitated streamlined communication, encompassing payment records, royalties, and invoicing. Each franchisee was assigned a distinct login, ensuring centralized access.

I am the CTO of a group of companies under teh ownership of Vizion Network Ltd. Mainly involved with AutoFlow ltd which is a software company that specialises in software for the crash repair industry.

AutoFlow Ltd has a legacy monolithic application as its core revenue service. This application Body shop management solution for teh crash repair industry is around 20 years old. Developed in Delphi and some C# recently. It is not sustainable and and becoming unmanageable moving forward. The objective/Goal was to take the minimum requirements to run a Bodyshop and create an MVP that can be used and iteratively add functionality. SaaS model in delivery and monetisation.

Selected through a vendor I have previously used on other large scale projects. KSB ticked the technical areas I was looking for not only in backend development skills but the solution design / architecture in Azure.

the scope of work was built around the MVP deliverable/criteria. Plus the end goal of a scalable, high performing, secure platform. We started with the discovery phase and understanding what we are delivering working with state transition and high level process flows, Journey map, context/domain mapping and non functional requirements.

One person worked from KBS on this project but this person was the technical lead in driving this project. Very key to the success.

This project was managed through AGILE process - Scrum. The quality of the deliverables was very high and this allowed the solution to become demonstrable at an early stage as we building out the features.

AGILE SCRUM using Teams as the communication management platform. Jira for tasks and storing the user stories and or use cases to be developed against. Documentation updated and maintained in confluence.

No - We learned a lot from how they organized themselves and their openness and forwardness in achieving the end goal.

One of our clients requested that we build a customized platform in the .NET framework that we did not have the resource profile to accommodate internally. We hired KBS Technologies to work with us on a third-party basis.

KSB Technologies developed a customized software solution from scratch using .NET. Our client architected the project in terms of documentation and requirements. We worked closely with KSB Technologies to build the solution; they worked primarily on the backend. The platform is insurance-based.

One backend developer from KSB Technologies worked with two of our internal team members.

Someone within our recruitment department found KSB Technologies using a set of search criteria. They were highly rated, and we had an initial interview with them to outline the project specifications and gain background on their experience and previous projects. The team had everything we needed to fulfill the requirements of this project, so we started the partnership.

We spent £190,000 (approximately $226,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from May 2021–June 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

From our side and KSB Technologies’ side, the quality of the work was good throughout. The project and teamwork went very positively; we had a very collaborative effort. The client was heavily involved, and their feedback was that KSB Technologies had very good communication and technical aptitude. Our client launched the platform three weeks ago in a slow rollout, so we don’t have quantitative metrics. 

KSB Technologies was able to drive the project alongside the client and provide a good quality output. Two different QA teams tested the product extensively, one from our side and one from the client’s side, and the feedback from that process was very good. Although we had issues along the way, they were generally down to client-related amendments to the business requirements. 

How did KSB Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

The project was handled in a very open-ended way; there was no fixed deadline or budget. However, the drive was to deliver the solution within the specifications as quickly as possible. In that sense, the team hit the targets outlined. Although we wanted to be live sooner, the issues surrounding that weren’t related to KSB Technologies but rather to revisions and rounds to reach the client’s goal. From a generalized perspective, we hit the relative timelines and budgets according to plan.

We used Jira and Trello for project management; Jira was our internal management tool, and we used Trello as an intermediate with our client. As for communication, we used Slack and Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by KSB Technologies’ attention to detail and understanding of complex issues and requirements. Their ability to adapt to a changeable environment was also key. Moreover, their attitude and willingness to drive the project forward to get it delivered went above and beyond. Not only did they put in the hard work, but when we got towards the deadline, there were requests to do more and more, and they accommodated without much issue. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Not really; we got all we required from them. The only feedback I could give is that if we were to use them in the future, we’d want to do so in a leadership role to help guide the developers’ direction. Although that wasn’t a requirement in this project, with their background and knowledge, it would have been helpful to have them steer things a little bit more.

Giving KSB Technologies good specifications and background for the project will lead to successful results. Their technical understanding and ability to grasp complex solutions were exceptional, so if you give them the correct tools, the outcome will be good.
