Koderly have made significant improvements to both the security and functionality of our CQC Compliance platform. In addition to this, they have scoped and built new areas and functionality within the software and have worked extremelly hard to understand the strict regulatory framework that the software needs to be built around. 

I have been blown away with their dedication to understanding our world and the CQC framework.

Koderly is extremely efficient in their project management. Project managment by Elsie has been fantastic throughout. We are kept up to date with regular sprint planning and sprint review meetings, and additional back log refinement sessions in between to break down chunkier pieces of development. Naturally along the way, there have been urgent pieces of development that have been unexpected and Koderly have always been flexible in adapting their work to ensure these are met.

The service includes real-time monitoring, daily health checks, scheduled maintenance, and performance tuning. Regular tasks such as backup verification, index optimization, and capacity planning are performed to ensure system stability and efficiency. Koderly also offers consultancy services for more complex needs like configuration changes, patching, and out-of-hours support, which are available on request.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since the introduction of the Remote Database Administration services, the project has delivered strong and consistent results, with noticeable improvements in system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency. The proactive monitoring, structured maintenance routines, and responsive support framework have contributed to smoother day-to-day operations and reduced disruption. Overall, the collaboration has fostered greater confidence in the stability and resilience of the database environment, reflecting the success of the service implementation.

Koderly could enhance their service is by providing access to more modern, user-friendly monitoring dashboards. While their behind-the-scenes work is clearly effective, having a real-time visual interface would allow us to better understand the impact of their efforts

Koderly are developing our internal and bespoke system to increase its functionality and capacity. There are a number of key elements of our work that our system cannot currently accommodate, which is resulting with us doing a lot of the work manually or through old systems. To overcome this challenge, we have worked on mapping out how our business operates and looking at how those processes can be integrated. 
In doing this, other areas have been identified where improvements can be made to speed up our system, delivering further wins for our company. Once the above has been completed, the task then is to do a full review of our system and see how it can be enhanced to offer our employees a system that better assists them with their work, rather than hinders or frustrates them.

The measurable outcomes are the releases that will be integrated into our system over an extended period and eventually the completion (or near completion, as development never ends) of the backlog of tasks.

One of the great strengths of Koderly, which we are finding, is their project management. They understand that IT is an essential part of a business and that the company needs to be a part of the development process, so that other areas of the company can progress in tandem. With us Koderly run on a sprint cycle which updates us on their progress and also provides us with deliverable on a regular basis.

The business had a 'key person risk’ - in the form of a sole IT Consultant. We have 3 items of bespoke software development, that were critical to business process, used code that was unavailable and not understood by other team members, the work was undocumented, never shared, or published. A key component would effectively be lost as a direct consequence of the absence said specific IT consultant. Which was identified as a risk to the business. Koderly helped us to:

• log the source code centrally and gave the business access to it
• stabilised the platform and the code being used
• understood our business processes to effectively implement change
• project manged changes using a sprint planning model
• stabilised, changed and gave the team confidence in the warehouse manager software in time for the annual stock take

The client has the confidence in knowing that their critical systems are fully supported and has better knowledge of their own systems. Koderly ensures that both functional enhancements and bug fixes are prioritised and progressed in accordance with business priorities.

Prior to hand over from the incumbent consultant, Koderly were tenacious and drove several aspects of the project to achieve deadlines set by the business.  

Koderly set regular meetings, and we had a hard deadline for the business-critical stock take project which was achieved. 

For the ongoing support, we have a 4 weekly sprint meeting where we prioritise tasks, and review progress.

They took the time to visit site and walk through our processes; to better assist they invested time in understanding our business. Kodelry made IT and code and back-end development seem like less of a dark art. Koderly has taken the time to explain the logic and objectives of the changes in layman’s terms.
