I am the CEO of Shinyu Technologies, Inc. (formerly shinyu LLC). Shinyu is the first pet care platform to marry both quality and convenience. We maintain a network of dog walkers and sitters who have all passed an extensive vetting process including the demonstration of a pet care service to our management team. With the press of a few buttons pet owners can access our network, make a pet care request (even if it’s on-demand!), and choose the best pet care provider for them.

We hired Kmphitech to develop the foundation of our pet care platform on iOS and Android. This included an admin panel where we as management could alter various parameters that drive the functionality of the app.

We solicited proposals from a number of comparable software development companies and chose Kmphitech because of their willingness to dive deep into understanding what our needs were. We worked together to come up with the best solution based on our budget.

The scope was large and complex and involved a number of moving parts and features. The app is a platform with multiple user types, GPS tracking, livestream capabilities, and much more.

We had multiple developers working on our project as well as an assigned Project Manager who was our main point of contact throughout the project. He was very responsive and communicated well. Kalpesh (CEO) also made himself available at all times for any concerns or questions we had.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have recently been approved onto the AppStore and have started getting users onto our platform and earning revenue. Users are commenting that the app is well designed and seamless. The code quality is very high and we've had no major bugs at all, which is very impressive.

Bipin (our project manager) was outstanding. He communicated well, worked hard to understand what we were looking for, and was very responsive on Whatsapp when we had any questions.

What was so impressive was their level of commitment and efforts in fulfilling our needs. We were hyper-focused on the highest quality product possible, and they delivered no matter what it took.

We had no complaints because they did a great job overall.

For creating a APP and database PHP.

What were your goals for this project?

Develop an APP to manager and exchanges data with a hardware on the stores. The hardware dispense a perfume or makeup sample when the customer touch the screen. The APP generating database and online campaign information too. Also generates reports informing how many samples were distributed to consumers by store, by product, by day and time.

I always give a briefing on how the APP should work and screen suggestions. They give me their quota and after approval, I receive the project in stages to test.

The app has changed my business so much. My cost of operations went down by 95%!!! I am beyond blessed for this! Very happy! Came out perfect!

They worked everyday on the project maybe took 2 months. But I was very happy in seeing how hard they worked and stayed on top of all the stuff!

How they worked on the weekends and always were very attentive to my needs.

After the app was created. It did have a few kinks that needed to be fixed and of course they did that.

Our company was an Indian manufacturer of digital data storage devices. Its products were manufactured at its three plants in New Delhi, which employed over 8,000+ people.

Kmphitech has a good talent pool, they’ve been able to find the right individuals. Everyone they have found who has worked with us has approached the project as though they understand the bigger picture. It was a really tight timeline and this was a huge project.

They really helped us streamline some processes which saved staff a lot of time. We can now track all the things online instead which has been tremendously helpful and useful. We already have an online presence through our Partners and this project has accelerated digital marketing efforts.

Kmphitech's Project Manager has taken away many of the headaches associated with custom development, and I’ve learned to trust that, if I require something from them, I will receive a reply and it will be done with stimulated timelines.

Kmphitech is careful to deliver a quality product from the start. The QA engineers don’t let errors slip through. It’s been a good, high-quality experience.

I’m the founder and owner of a sports app company. Currently, I’m the sole employee here.

What challenge were you trying to address with Kmphitech?

I partnered with to build an app that connects athletes, coaches, and trainers located in the same area. For instance, if someone is a basketball player, they can use the platform to coordinate a game or practice. The platform can be used to meet other athletes as well as coaches and trainers that can improve their skills.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we started our engagement, I provided them with some initial designs. They got back to me within a few days with a visual interpretation of my goals for the app. Once I approved their graphics and layout, they began the coding process. Throughout their work, we had regular check-ins to see how their team was progressing.

In addition to UI/UX and coding, they’re experienced in strategy. Because of that, I had them implement strategic user flows into the layout of the app to help users navigate the completed app. That helped me organize the features in the app most effectively. They created the app for iOS as a proof of concept. In the next year, we’re expecting to create an Android version as well.

We worked with one point of contact in addition to a team of developers working under him.

We’ve been working together since August 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did a great job designing the app on a short timeline. We were impressed with their understanding of layout and user flows to ensure that people have an easy time navigating the platform.   

Within a week after launching on the App Store, we had 60–80 users. People loved the concept and how easy the product was to use. The platform came off the ground with no significant bugs or issues. Because the UX was smooth, we were able to establish an early user base. 

How did Kmphitech perform from a project management standpoint?

Through our weekly meetings, I was able to stay up to date on the progress they were making on my project while they organized and programed everything for the app.

They’re quick to respond to our needs. Whenever there’s an issue with the app, I can write a note within our shared document that the team has access to. They always fix the issues the very next day. Aside from the shared document, we used programs that allowed us to share screens during video conferences. The shared document has been easy for communicating problems and getting quick fixes, however.    

At the start of the project, they promised that they could deliver the app in under six months and they were able to do so. They met every deadline they set either before the deadline or within a few days after. That helped us keep the project on track without delays.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their ability to execute based on basic designs and concepts. They expanded on my ideas to create a professional experience. As someone without experience in developing apps, I appreciated that they could easily bring my vision to life. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

When it comes to maintenance, I’d recommend that they keep up with the app after launch to make sure everything is running smoothly. They’ve generally been doing that, but they could improve on their speed of solving problems like this. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Lay your ideas out in detail, and they will execute on them exactly as needed. Come to them with a plan the first time you meet. They’ll help you find a solution from there.

My main goal is to have a product that looks good and functions properly.

I have spoken with dozens of companies before choosing Kmphitech. Their communication is excellent, the price is fair, and they know what they are doing.

Initially we spoke about pricing and timeline. From there it was straight to work. Within about 6 weeks I had a working prototype.

We have added tons of features and products since the initial scope. If they add a feature and I need to change some things to it they always work quickly.

I'm not sure for the total team size. I think it's around 30 people. Kalpesh has been my contact person from the beginning.

He is very responsive and knowledgeable. On the home stretch I have been speaking directly to developers.

One thing that I am very happy about is the logo they created for me. The look of the app is sharp and appealing.

I was speaking with Kalpesh one day about how good everything looked and was working when he informed me he didn't like the logo (lol). Well I didn't either and within 24 hours we had a new logo that looks amazing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

In my case it's just me. I work 3rd shift until I can start generating enough cash to leave my job. This worked out great for me because I am always available when the team starts it's day.

So the workflow really works well. If they are not going to be available because of holidays etc. They let me know in advance.

The speed and willing to work with me when things came up on my end. These guys are smart and fun to work with.

We wanted to bring an app to the market enabling EU citizens to create a secure digital ID available from a mobile device.

The private user creates a secure digital ID on his mobile device by NFC read of own passport. In addition to this the user can scan own drivers license and potentially EU health care card and Covid-19 vaccination proof. From inside the app the user can share (and track permissions granted) his private information with selected business partners who has already contracted with 1ID.

What was the team composition?

Initially, we were assigned a project manager to support us and serve as the main point of contact throughout the project. I only spoke with our project manager, but I was made aware that there were 2 frontend and 2 backend developers, as well as a QA resource working behind the scenes.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is ongoing.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow has until proven very effective and we are very pleased with the way that the project progressed so far.

I especially liked the approach were we designed the app screen down into details before the prototype is build. This way all considerations has to be made before any coding is initiated thereby saving time and resources.

We would like to include a person who can write the documentation.
