ChAI had an existing market insights product for raw materials, and are in the process of launching a complementary insurance product. We were looking for a new brand which could incorporate both of these products with a consistent narrative between the two products that would help the company better communicate with the target customer audience. 

Due to existing timelines for company strategy, we were looking for a vendor who would be able to complete the project within a small window of time (<10 weeks). 

Deliverables included:

•  new brand guidelines; 
• a new logo; 
• new messaging copy; 
• various merchandise; 
• a new website build; 
• new digital marketing assets.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was completed on time and within budget. We have received unanimously positive feedback from clients regarding the new branding, particularly our updated website. New digital assets are being used in sales and marketing team. Measuring conversion of inbound leads over time will be a long-term metric to monitor as an indicator of the quality of our website, but as of yet not enough time has passed to gain true data for this.

Klutch Studio's team was highly communicative and responsive and delivered all aspects on time. They were very quick to reply to emails or to offer calls to resolve any details as quickly as possible.

Klutch Studio did branding and website updates for us. Their work included developing our brand messaging and creating the visual identity we wanted for our website. They began the process with an initial meeting to understand our goals and implemented the concepts they learned into the design, which ended up being exactly what we were looking for. In addition, Klutch Studio gave us constant support throughout the whole process.

Klutch Studio delivered a professional-looking website that conveys who we are and what we do as a business. Overall, the website they created made me feel proud when showing it to people.

Klutch Studio met our deadlines and budgets. Regarding tools, we used phone calls and emails — communication was brilliant.

What we liked the most about Klutch Studio’s work was the level of detail and commitment to trying to understand us as people and as a business. That enabled them to meet our expectations.

I didn’t think there was anything they could improve on — they exceeded our expectations throughout the process thanks to their quality and professionalism.

Klutch re-imagined our brand to reflect the collective power of Lukango. Through a series of collaborative workshops and discussions, Kevin and the Klutch team have been able to tease out the most important messages about our business that will hit our customers across every channel. For a start-up like ours, the value has been squeezing every ounce of expertise out of the Klutch team, working across brand design, visual identity, and technical build and launch of our new website.

My previous brand was un-focused and gave off more of a 'freelancer' vibe. I brought a design brief and name to Klutch and hired them to create a new brand and website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I chose Klutch from a selection of 4 proposals. Klutch's portfolio contained the kind of work that I was looking for. They showed as confident and were also appropriately priced.

Klutch went over my brief and we had calls to discuss my vision. I spoke with the team on another call and they proposed three options for where to take the brand. I responded with detailed feedback on elements of each option that I liked, and they were able to offer new territories which clearly took my feedback on board.

Once visuals were decided on, they put together a website design and put me in touch with a copywriter. Once the copy and design were finalised, they were able to create a website that suited my exact needs.

We have recently renamed. We initially hired Klutch to support us in developing our brand identity (incl. positioning, logos etc.) and creating new brand guidelines. We love working with everyone at Klutch and so proceeded to expand the scope to the application of these new guidelines in developing assets (website + print materials).

How did you select Klutch Studio?

I spoke to a number of different agencies (I considered around 20 and contacted about 10). We really loved the work Klutch has done before, had a trusted warm introduction and found Kevin super flexible and easy to work with. We really felt we would be in safe hands and the work would be exceptional!

Klutch started by getting a deep understanding of our business by going through a huge amount of information that we shared from marketing strategy and ad copy to customer feedback and product roadmaps.

They then started to develop the proposition and brand archetypes which spot on (clearly they have got really under the skin of what we do!). They then developed some concepts which we refined.

Once we settled on a favourite, they worked that concept up into the final version. We shared feedback and had some amends which they absolutely nailed with their revisions. We're super happy with the outcomes! Klutch are now taking this work and applying it to both website design and print materials.

Clear communication throughout and we found them super easy to work with! Our timelines have stretched a little but that is partly because we have been flexible with the output deadlines.

They've taken the time to understand who is and what makes our business tick first. We found them easy to work with and I have consistently been impressed with how they have been able to translate our non-designer garbled feedback into something cohesive that they could apply.

The brand name was the process that probably took the longest but that was because my partner and I were quite selective with it but were so happy when the guys came up with DEFY - fits everything we are about in so many ways.

We have managed to now design our new office space with a lot of the branding in position to be seen. Also already managed to recruit 3 new athletes since the branding was finished - having the branding finished to show potential clients is now a game changer.

All three elements absolutely spot on. Couldn’t fault any of their work or way they conducted themselves. They were always available and delivered what we asked in excellent time frames. As I said perfect collaboration with Klutch.

Their understanding of what we wanted to achieve even though they aren’t directly involved in the sports industry was critical for us and ensured the process ran smoothly and successfully.
