We undertook the development of dashboards for visual monitoring of HR metrics using Microsoft Power BI for a beverage company. Our partner, KL Engineer, played a crucial role in the project by facilitating the migration from an Oracle database to Azure and ensuring a smooth integration with Power BI. 

KL Engineer’s responsibilities included planning and executing the migration strategy, which involved assessing the Oracle database, mapping and transforming data, and loading it into Azure. They configured data connections between Power BI and Azure SQL Database, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity. 

Additionally, KL Engineer set up automatic data exchange protocols to enable real-time data refreshes and seamless updates between Azure and Power BI. This covered processes such as data management, data collection, reporting, and applications, as well as digital twin technologies for integration, using Azure DevOps for data development and deployment, Databricks, Data Lake and Data Factory for data processing and management, and Power BI for interactive reporting.

• Successful Data Migration: KL Engineer executed the migration of HR data from the Oracle database to Azure with 100% accuracy, ensuring that all data was transferred without loss or corruption, and thoroughly validated the data to confirm consistency and maintain integrity and relationships.
• Optimized Performance: Post-migration, KL Engineer significantly improved data query and reporting performance in Azure, as demonstrated by faster data retrieval times and more efficient query execution compared to the previous Oracle setup.
• Seamless Integration with Power BI: KL Engineer successfully configured data connections between Power BI and Azure SQL Database, ensuring stable and secure data flow, and implemented automated data refresh protocols, allowing Power BI dashboards to display real-time data from Azure without manual intervention.
• Operational Efficiency: KL Engineer managed the migration process with minimal disruption to business operations, ensuring a smooth transition to Azure that did not affect ongoing HR data activities, and streamlined data management in the new Azure environment, reducing complexity and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
