We’re a boutique herbal supplier. Sustainability is a big focus of ours. I’m the VP of marketing.

What challenge were you trying to address Kimmont Communications?

We needed full-scale branding, web development, and product design. They also helped us with a go-market strategy that was specific to sustainable companies.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We came to Kimmont Communications with a raw product and idea. We described what we envisioned for the company, and they took it and ran with it.

The team developed the logo and branding colors, which then transitioned into building an e-commerce site using WordPress. They also defined all of our products as separate brands. It was all tied under one umbrella brand.

For the marketing strategy, they helped with social media and B2B and B2C direct marketing. They connected us with top retailers and wholesalers while helping us strategize on the B2C side.

What is the team composition?

We mainly work with Justin (Co-Founder) and another point of contact, but there are some developers and designers that I spoke with a few times.

How did you come to work with Kimmont Communications?

We were looking for companies that focus on impact and sustainability. Kimmont Communications had pretty extensive knowledge in that field, and they came highly recommended.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested roughly $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement with Kimmont Communications started in June 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We started from scratch, so the metrics are incredible. We’ve had year over year sales increases. Anecdotally, Kimmont Communications essentially built our company. They’re a lifeline, and we couldn’t have done this without them.

We’ve developed a great partnership, and with that, they help us when they can, and we help when we can. They’ve delivered on time and sometimes under budget.

How did Kimmont Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

From a project management standpoint, it’s been great. We deal directly with the founders, and they’re very hands-on. They’re a boutique firm, so they only have a handful of clients. They focus on all of them equally, and that’s definitely shown through.

We use Slack, email, and phone calls for communication, but I believe they use Asana internally.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The branding has been top-notch. I mentioned that they focus on impact. We had a tough time finding another firm that worked in that space. Our company’s philosophy is to use the force of business for good. If we all work together, we can all prosper. Working with a partner that has similar views has been something we treasure.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not yet.

Trust them. Their team knows what they’re doing.
