I’m the CEO and founder of Tapestree, a SaaS-based business platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Jumpstarter?

We needed support building out an MVP for a video platform.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had some basic video configurations around the video platform, but we worked with Jumpstarter to clarify the project plan and roadmap. Jumpstarter is building out the web-based platform that we’re using today. Key technologies being used on the project are React and MongoDB on the backend.

The platform groups three individuals and walks them through simulated scenarios, capturing information like conversational analytics and integrated assessments.

We primarily work with one person, but three work on the project.

We found them on Upwork. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $50,000 with Jumpstarter. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in February 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They did a great job translating our needs into building the actual product, and our number of users has increased since we started to focus more on sales. 

How did Jumpstarter perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been on time with everything and have clear communication; they’re also really good about meeting with us. Overall, we have a great working relationship. We communicate via phone, email, and Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Jumpstarter is very adaptive, and they collaborate effectively. We look at them as team members. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing we can come up with; we’re having a great experience.

I’m the CEO and founder of Carespan Health, a healthcare company. We’re building a data and analytics product using various sources of information on patients for long-term care, nursing homes, assisted living, and primary geriatric care.

What challenge were you trying to address with Jumpstarter?

We needed someone to rebuild our web and mobile app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Jumpstarter is helping us rebuild our web and mobile app from scratch. We started by breaking the project into various milestones and revamping the product into a normalized database. 

The second phase of the project is to build a functioning MVP of the new design system, followed by implementing a feature to track and manage preventative care visits. The next step is to develop a mobile app, along with ongoing maintenance and support.

Moreover, they’re also providing us with App Store optimization, Bluetooth integration, notification and alert management, and external API incorporation for patient-generated data.

The technologies utilized include React Native for the iOS and Android platforms.

What is the team composition?

We’re mainly working with about five senior developers.

How did you come to work with Jumpstarter?

We found Jumpstarter on Upwork and hired them based on their transparency, high-level business knowledge, and phenomenal owner.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested about $50,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing partnership started in January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Thanks to Jumpstarter, we’ve been able to onboard a couple of customers and generate hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue, so I’m very happy with my partnership with them.

How did Jumpstarter perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re consistently excellent from a project management perspective, as they deliver their tasks and respond to our needs on time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their transparency and willingness to challenge assumptions — they’re always telling me what’s possible and how we can achieve our goals.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they need to improve on, as I’m quite happy with their work.

Before approaching Jumpstarter, ensure you have a clear vision of what you want to achieve from a business logic perspective.

For what projects/services did your company hire Jumpstarter, and what were your goals?

We scoped a solution to a common problem within the consumer packaged goods industry, and worked with them to build the logic and structure to solve it.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We interviewed a number of vendors, and received proposals from many before determining that they were the most responsive, communicative, and understood our idea and the logic required the best.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We worked together to build an end to end web app that touches a number of functional areas within CPG, with tenancy and scalability built along, along with our own API endpoints.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked mainly with one person as a POC, and occasionally more were brought in for logic and design. I preferred having one POC. I often felt like they knew our app better than we did!

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The app was pre-launch, and they brought us to a place where we could onboard beta customer- which was exactly what we asked for.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

The communication was great. It worked well with our style of communicating, and the check in calls were always very helpful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their ability to understand what we were saying and convert it to something actionable.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think overall the experience was great. The only point of improvement may have been to lead a bit more on the design side of the front end.
