Scope of Work — JMS / Trade Talent Search

The scope of work for JMS was to provide Bubble.io and no-code development services to transform the Trade Talent Search (TTS) concept into a functional, mobile-first Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The work focused on building the core student experience, organizing career-pathway content, implementing interactive and gamified features, and preparing the platform for beta testing during the 2026–2027 school year.

Key Deliverables

1. Bubble.io No-Code Platform Development * Build the TTS MVP using Bubble.io and no-code development tools. * Develop the platform’s core database, workflows, pages, navigation, and user functionality. * Create a mobile-friendly and user-accessible experience. * Configure the platform so future features and user portals can be added as TTS scales.

2. Student-Facing Platform * Develop the primary student experience for discovering skilled-trade careers. * Create student profiles and onboarding functionality. * Allow students to explore career pathways and access career-specific information. * Build the overall navigation and user flow to make career exploration simple and engaging.

3. Career Pathway System * Build the structure for 20 skilled-trade career pathways. * Include career titles, categories, career overviews, salary information, career responsibilities, getting-started steps, and training/apprenticeship information. * Incorporate career images and supporting multimedia content. * Establish the framework for expanding the number of careers in the future.

 4. Video & Multimedia Integration * Integrate approved “Day in the Life” career videos into the appropriate career pathways. * Create the functionality necessary for students to view career-related multimedia content. * Support the use of video as a primary tool for exposing students to real-world trade careers.

5. Student Onboarding & Surveys * Develop the Student Onboarding/Survey functionality. * Incorporate the Pre-Pilot Survey, Post-Pilot Survey, and Student Feedback Survey. * Create the workflows needed to capture student participation and feedback during the beta test.

6. Gamification * Implement the TTS points and badge system. * Create opportunities for students to earn recognition through platform engagement and completing activities. * Establish the foundation for future gamification, challenges, achievements, and rewards.

 7. Trade Compass / Career Discovery * Implement the Trade Compass concept as part of the student career-discovery experience. * Help students identify and explore skilled-trade pathways that may align with their interests and goals.

8. Explainer Video & User Experience Integration * Integrate the TTS Student and Educator explainer videos into the appropriate areas of the platform. * Position educational content strategically within the home page and user experience. * Make the platform easier for students and educators to understand and navigate.

9. Beta-Test Preparation * Prepare the MVP for deployment to participating middle and high schools. * Ensure core student functionality is operational for the 2026–2027 beta testing period. * Support testing, troubleshooting, revisions, and adjustments as necessary during the MVP development process.

10. Foundation for Future Development The MVP was intentionally designed as the foundation for the larger TTS ecosystem. The initial development prioritized the student and administrative experience, while creating a foundation for future Educator, Employer/Sponsor, and Parent portals, as well as additional technology such as AI-powered career coaching, AR/VR experiences, expanded career content, and other interactive features.

The ultimate deliverable from JMS was a functional Bubble.io/no-code MVP of Trade Talent Search that converts the TTS vision into a working digital platform where students can discover skilled-trade careers, explore career pathways, watch real-world career videos, complete assessments and surveys, earn points and badges, and begin connecting their interests to potential career opportunities.

* Functional MVP developed: A working Bubble.io/no-code MVP was created, moving TTS from a concept and business plan to a functional technology platform.

* 20 career pathways established: The MVP provides the framework for students to explore 20 skilled-trade career pathways, creating a scalable foundation for future career additions.

* 6 “Day in the Life” experiences: The platform incorporates career-focused video experiences covering key pathways including Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Auto Technician, Commercial Truck Driver, and Heavy Equipment Operator.

* Student onboarding implemented: Students can create profiles and complete the onboarding process designed specifically for the TTS beta experience.

 * Survey infrastructure established: The platform includes the Pre-Pilot Survey, Post-Pilot Survey, and Student Feedback Survey, allowing TTS to collect measurable data on student engagement and program effectiveness.

 * Gamification implemented: Points and badges were incorporated to provide measurable indicators of student participation and engagement.

* Career information centralized: Each pathway is structured to provide students with information such as career responsibilities, salary ranges, training requirements, apprenticeship opportunities, and steps to enter the field.

 * Explainer content integrated: Student and educator explainer videos were incorporated into the platform to improve user understanding and onboarding.

 * Beta-test readiness achieved: The MVP provides the technology foundation necessary to begin testing with middle and high school students during the 2026–2027 school year.

The Bubble.io/no-code architecture provides a foundation for future development of Educator, Employer/Sponsor, and Parent experiences, additional careers, AI-powered career guidance, and expanded interactive features.

JMS demonstrated excellent project management throughout the development of the Trade Talent Search (TTS) MVP.

We worked with a team of three professionals, with one primary point of contact who served as our project lead and made sure communication remained clear, priorities were understood, and deliverables stayed on schedule.

Our primary contact was highly organized, responsive, and proactive in managing the project. They consistently followed up on progress, coordinated with the other members of the development team, and made sure our requirements and expectations were being addressed. Deliverables were completed on time and, in many cases, exceeded our expectations. The team was also extremely responsive to our evolving needs as the TTS platform developed. When we requested changes, adjustments, or additional functionality, they listened carefully, communicated effectively, and worked to implement our requests. Overall, JMS responded to all of our needs and demonstrated a strong commitment to delivering a quality product. Their ability to manage the development team while maintaining a single, reliable point of contact made the process efficient and gave us confidence that the project was moving forward as planned.

What I Found Most Impressive About JMS

What impressed me most about JMS was their ability to take a very ambitious and complex vision for Trade Talent Search and turn it into a functional product using Bubble.io and no-code development. They didn’t simply build what we asked for—they took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish and helped bring the vision to life. I was also extremely impressed by the team structure and accountability.

Although I worked with three professionals, I had one primary point of contact who took ownership of the project, kept everything organized, communicated consistently, and made sure the other team members stayed on track.

Most importantly, they were responsive to every need and willing to go above and beyond. As an early-stage startup, our ideas and requirements evolved throughout development, and JMS adapted with us rather than treating the original scope as a limitation.

Areas for Improvement

Overall, our experience with JMS Web Solution was extremely positive, and they exceeded our expectations. There were no major issues with the quality of their work, communication, or ability to meet our needs. If I had to identify an area for improvement, it would simply be continuing to provide even more proactive guidance and recommendations as the project evolves. As a startup founder, I brought a strong vision for Trade Talent Search, but having an experienced development partner challenge ideas, identify potential improvements, and recommend best practices along the way can add even more value. That said, JMS was highly responsive, delivered on time, and addressed all of our requests. Any areas for improvement are minor compared with the overall quality of the experience. I would absolutely recommend JMS Web Solution to other organizations looking for a reliable Bubble.io and no-code development partner.
