Website traffic is overwhelming

Their style is very direct - willing to meet regularly by zoom to go over proposed changes. timeliness is outstanding - one of the requests we made was resolved 10 minutes after our zoom was finished.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Most impressive is working directly with the developer, having that person on the team to accomplish the goals. When we brought in a consultant who made some different style recommendations, ITGeeks was willing to develop those changes on a backup site which we were able to review and approve before substituting for the live site.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We've never worked with another developer, so we can't compare or complain about any need for improvement -- all the changes we needed have been due to our own shortcomings. But they have responded immediately to any requests we have made.

He told me they could redo the website and it would be done quickly because he knew it was our busy season and I was concerned about the timing.

Our clickthrough rates blew up! I canceled my Google ads, which greatly reduced my advertising costs. Sales increased quickly!

IT-Geeks handled three pieces of work on our Shopify store, with the custom Order Samples configurator as the main build. Homepage hero video: They merged our five licensed clips into one seamless video, with each clip at full length and no graphics added. It's embedded in the homepage hero on a continuous loop and tested across desktop, mobile and all major browsers. About Us page: They built the page with our banner and copy, styled to match the rest of the site, with editable text fields and a link added to the homepage navigation. Order Samples configurator: They built this from the ground up. It includes: a banner with numbered markers placed over the image, so they stay sharp and reposition correctly on mobile a section for each patent, with its description and sample garments listed beneath it selection controls, so buyers can pick and remove any number of items across the patent groups Alibaba links on each garment, opening in a new tab a live total that updates with every selection a full buyer details form, including logo upload everything connected to Shopify, so all selections, details and the logo file arrive with the order end-to-end testing on desktop and mobile Self-management: Both pages are set up so we can add new patents, add or remove garments, and update descriptions, prices and links ourselves from the admin. Payments run through Shopify's secure checkout, so we accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex and PayPal without handling card details.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All three deliverables were completed as scoped: the looping homepage hero video, the About Us page and the custom Order Samples configurator. Buyers can now select sample garments across every patent group, see a live total, upload their logo and place the order themselves. Every selection, detail and logo file arrives together in our Shopify admin, instead of being gathered over email. Payments run through Shopify's secure checkout with Visa, Mastercard, Amex and PayPal. We can also add new patents, garments, prices and links ourselves without needing a developer.

Tom managed the project and was our main point of contact throughout. Before any work started, the team set out a clear, detailed scope covering exactly what each page would include, so we knew what to expect from the start. They [delivered everything within the agreed timeline], kept us updated as the work progressed, and took on our feedback quickly. They also made sure we could run everything ourselves afterwards, setting up both pages so we can add new patents, garments, prices and links from our own admin, and walking us through how it all works.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us most was how they built the Order Samples configurator entirely around the way our buyers actually order, instead of forcing us into an off-the-shelf app. They thought through details we hadn't considered, like placing the numbered markers over the banner so they stay sharp on mobile, and opening the Alibaba links in a new tab so buyers never lose their place. They also focused on making us independent. Everything is set up so we can add new patents, garments, prices and links ourselves, without needing a developer each time our range grows.

No improvements needed, great customer service and patience with handling my needs, in being a tech novice.

Initial feedback from many people is that the website looks great and is easy on the eyes.  I had someone register as an affiliate right away, and the registration process was very smooth.  The wishlist function is also working very smoothly.

Lisa, my project manager, was awesome!!!  She always delivered on time, and if she was not clear on something, she never hesitated to ask for clarification.  She sent detailed summaries after each call we had to ensure we were all on the same page.  The summaries also clearly stated the deliverables each of us was expecting from the other.

Very organized, professional, and personable.  While there was a team of people working on my project, I did not have to deal with many of them.  Lisa was my main POC throughout the project.

While there were a few minor tweaks needed after go-live, Lisa and her team jumped on them right away.  I fully expected that some minor changes would be needed because in my experience, no project is perfect right out of the gate.  It is the responsiveness of the  team that makes all the difference.

The deliverable was to use a Shopify template to build my e-commerce store on the desktop and a mobile-friendly version.

In the beginning, I understood who my company would become at a high-level, but I hadn't fully defined who we are. Over the course of months, I found the identity, mission statement, and voice of the company. I have had to make some tough decisions that set us back and caused rework.

This resulted in the team shifting when I changed the brand's identity. I am grateful for the team that took what I asked for and used their creative skills to make it better. The team embraced the vision that was in my head, changed, and brought it to life. They added little extras that made the site build even more premium. For instance, they added the hover animation to photos. When I asked to make the heart/pillar image beat like a heart, the team executed with perfection. This subtle heartbeat pulsing when you hover has become my FAVORITE part of the website. 

ITGeeks has been a constant since we became partners! I cannot give enough words to truly express how grateful I am to them for their patience and buy into my vision!

Ruby, was simply phenomenal! I could stop there and that would be sufficient. She is very thorough, responds in a timely manner, and is organized. I had fallen behind on a few to-dos while working on securing a manufacturer, and she organized everything into a Prioritized Next Steps document. I appreciated this more than she probably knows. This document allowed me to use it as my guide versus searching through our Basecamp threads.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

In comparison to another company I was vetting, the initial presentation was of excellent quality. Robert has an amazing personality and good presentation skills. He spoke highly of their project-management style and the capabilities of his team. He sold it so well that I believed him. There were two distinct impressions: 1. project management ran the engagement, and 2. the team was proactive in their creative space without needing approval.

And in short, I received work that went above and beyond!

I do not have areas for improvement. This doesn't mean all things were perfect, but it allows for the human element when in a partnership.
