We were looking for experienced Shopify freelancers to set up our e-commerce online Shopify store the right way. So, we decided on selecting this vendor.

I do know the Project Manager, Mark whom I work with closely regarding the online shop setup requirements but not his developers under his team.

Yes, the team led by the project manager, Mark has successfully integrated the rewards and wholesale functionality which are the important part of the requirements.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager has properly communicated with me via phone, WhatsApp, and Basecamp messages. They were very prompt and competent in delivering the requirements.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I am very impressed with the standard and quality the company delivers when it comes to online shop setups based on requirements and suggested workarounds.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The entire setup may have been done a little faster or earlier but I understand that when the project implementation started, it fell into the holiday months which delayed the actual duration of this project. Otherwise, this project would have been finished early than expected.

We had a previous relationship from hiring them to do our initial website design and build. We were so pleased with the work they did the first time that we had to go with them again. And we'll continue to hire them for website work as they are simply the best!

Complete website redesign, backend cleanup, Shopify management, SEO optimization, page and site speed improvements, cross-platform and cross-device optimization, etc. literally did everything and was in scope of work.

In total we working with 1 person, Eva. She handles managing the team that completes the work. But it makes it so much easier that you only have to deal with 1 person who gets the job done.

Our previous website had been built internally over 2 years ago. As we began to scale our E-Commerce business we reached out to the IT Geeks team to fully rebuild our website, transitioning to Shopify and rolling out a subscription service.

We looked for web designers on the list of recommended companies provided by Shopify.

After a series of discovery meetings, we established how we wanted the website to look and what functionalities we wanted to incorporate. We received a rough draft of the website within one week of these meetings and then continued to modify and add to it over the course of 2 months.
 

Following the completion of the desktop site, we tested it for bugs and functionality and then proceeded to work on the mobile version of the site. Finally, we optimized the website's performance metrics before completing the project.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with Eva as the project manager. She was our primary point of contact and incredibly communicative and easy to work with.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Eva was incredibly thorough and successfully implemented any requests that we had. We were very detail-oriented and the finished product exactly mirrored everything that we had asked for -- down to very minor design elements.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Eva was very responsive and answered all of our emails within hours of receiving them. The average turnaround on every request was less than 24 hours, allowing us to move efficiently through the redesign process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their ability to fully deliver on every customization that we requested. Our website's performance metrics are significantly higher than they were beforehand, and it looks and functions exactly as we had envisioned it would.

Step by step they communicated the design and functionality. The sent me mock ups and I would provide feedback. Everything I wanted was implemented in the design.

Our site is based on shopify. When we encounter bugs on our site or want to add specific functions that require more hands-on work, we have hired IT-Geeks.

Quick response, very professional. They are extremely good at understanding what you want help with. The fact that they are insanely good at English is also very good.

IT-Geeks has helped us with several jobs. The first job was when we had a problem with a color changer on our products. In just a few days, they presented the solution, implemented it. They always go through the assignment and tell you how it is designed and how to navigate it.

Everything IT-Geeks has done has increased our profitability. With the help of IT geeks, we have been able to make changes to make the customer's buying experience easier.

How quick they are to solve a problem. A problem that you yourself think is a big problem is no problem for IT geeks. All tasks have been carried out with great professionalism.

Our Shopify store was running a very old framework and the site was slow in general.

We found IT Geeks on Shopify expert page and they gave us a detailed slideshow of what they were able to do if we went with them. They also communicate amazingly and always get back to me very quickly.

I only spoke to Tom and Rahul. Tom was the project manager and was there for us all the way through. Rahul I believe is the owner and he was the person I contacted first to get the project set up.

Since the new site went up we have seen all the designs we wanted being used and working correctly. As well as our bounce rate has dropped down to just 2%.

IT Geeks uses Basecamp to communicate when doing projects, which I love. Tom was always very responsive and always was able to understand our vision for the site. He and his team were able to get the project done in less time than we had predicted.

I found that they were able to code in any design that we wanted even if it was a complex design they always did an amazing job and they did it very quickly.

Nothing. They did everything we need them to do.

I hired IT-GEEKS to design my online store.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I selected them because of their price point and I was impressed with the reviews. I am a start-up company and did not have $15k to spend.

I am in the process of re-branding my candle line and I needed for my website to reflect those changes as well. The first step was our initial phone call where we discussed my ideas and what I was looking to accomplish. Next, I was assigned a project manager who was responsible for bringing my ideas to life. Then we discussed my goals and began planning.

We used the Basecamp app to communicate ideas and keep track of files and requests. When my requests were received they were acknowledged and executed. If clarification was needed, Rob asked and I gave additional input. Mid-way through the project we had a zoom call to discuss our progress, and then work continued based on my specifications. Once my final requests were completed, Rob asked me to go through the site once again and see if there was anything else that needed to be adjusted. We then tested the checkout process and functionality. After that, I was ready to go live.

In total, I worked with 3 people. Rob was my project manager, Laura from accounting, and Rahul from business development.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I had a few close friends take a look at the site and they were also pleased with the results and the professional look of the site.

Very effective. Communication. Basecamp was very helpful and our zoom calls were also very helpful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

IT Geeks fulfilled every request I had. If there was something that could not be accomplished, they provided a detailed explanation.

No, I do not have any complaints about their services. They were responsive and completed all tasks I assigned to them.

We are a brick and mortar shop located in Seattle. We focus on selling Scandinavian and Japanese inspired home and body goods. I am the Digital Manager for Woodland Mod and I have been redoing their website.

For what projects/services did your company hire IT-Geeks?

I needed to code into my website a check box that was mandatory for checking out to ensure that our customers read our terms and conditions before proceeding so that we would not be liable if they broke one of our policies. I do not know coding well enough to do this myself.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

IT Geeks had a large amount of 5-star ratings, and it was quick for me to pick them because they did not require an initial review of the online store before proceeding. They were ready to jump right in with a solution.

I described what I needed: a mandatory check box at cart check out that would not let you proceed with check out until selecting the box. Before, I was able to create the box but I could not figure out how to make it mandatory. They did this with ease.

It was great. This was a fairly simple project and they completed it quick and with no issues. It looks and functions how I desired.

Great! They sent check-ins when I was out of office and hadn't heard from me which I appreciated because it showed that they valued showing me good effort and communication.

The check ins and quick jump in to fix the problem without asking a million questions or needing to pre-evaluate the store as other experts were requiring. For something this simple, I appreciated their efficiency.

I am the Marketing Director at Goldtouch. We sell ergonomic computer accessories such as ergonomic keyboards, ergonomic mice, laptop stands, and more. We help companies outfit their employees with ergonomic computer solutions to cut down on worker's compensation and make sure their employees are comfortable and productive with less repetitive stress injuries due to long days at the computer on non-ergonomic devices.

Our Shopify site was created about 10 years ago and had become outdated. We wanted to modernize the look and feel of our Shopify website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We found them on Shopify's list of Shopify experts. They had great reviews. We asked them to do a few other smaller projects before and were happy with their work, so decided to have them do our Shopify redesign.

We connected with our Project Manager, Eva, who provided us with an overview of the project, and then we got into the first stage of the project, which was the homepage. We already had a basic framework of what we wanted our website to look like, but it was important for us to provide specific examples from websites we liked in order to get exactly what we wanted from the design process. Eva and her team did a great job of recreating the aspects of those other sites we liked, and made it specific to our brand and company. After the homepage, we moved on to the menu and product pages. After that, we got into the footer and other pages located in the footer of our website. Eva and her team did a great job making sure all aspects of our website were covered, and was very detail oriented in that regard.

We onboarded with Rahul originally, and then Eva became our Project Manager once the contract was signed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We just made our website live a couple of days ago, and so we don't have any specific metrics to share at this time, but I'm positive our customers will have a much more pleasant experience using this Shopify site because it is much more user-friendly, there are more sections to shop around, and it looks better.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was great -- there was constant communication throughout the whole process, and it was a fast process! When they say your project will be done in 45 days, they mean it. There was not a lot of waiting time in between communications to see action steps taken. It was always completed within 1-2 days, which was great.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

IT-Geeks was very prompt with all communications, and they actually seemed like they wanted to work on the project, which surprisingly is impressive because most companies just want to create the lead and forget about you. IT-Geeks was there every step of the way, they were quick, their design is a quality design we are happy about, and everything is working well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had to outsource our main image design on our website because we were looking for something different than what was provided, so that would be the only thing I can think of that could have been done better.

I am over all design and fulfillment of our online furniture boutique. We sell high-end furniture, all hand-picked by our owner who is a very successful interior designer in Las Vegas.

We are a small team and each wear a lot of hats, but don't have the abillity to code or do custom theme edits to help acheive the design we want. I am a web designer and have loved working with IT-Geeks in bringing my designs to life. Our goal was to great a better user experience and try to get more out of the pages on our site so that we could increase our SEO presence and increase conversions.

We had a few developers reach out and IT-Geeks provided the best pricing with the quickest and clearest response. We have worked with them since we started in 2020 and they have always been very communicative — something that is very important to me in choosing someone.

After explaining what I was looking for, I sent mockup designs and they got to work (giving me a timeline for completion). We went back and forth in perfecting what I was looking for, and they always took each note, made the edits, and then got back to me quickly.

We have worked with a couple people from IT-Geeks, but more recently, we've worked with Sarah who has been the main lead on completing the project. She is always kind and great at responding to me quickly!

We just finished the project, but we already seeing increased traffic thanks to these edits that are increasing our SEO presence.

Sarah is always kind in communicating and providing updates while they are working on the project/edits given. They always give me a timeline, but most of the time, they complete the project ahead of schedule.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They are extrememly kind and patient in making sure that I am happy with the finished product. If something comes up in between projects, they are always happy to help with any minor bugs or explain to me a quick fix. We have had a long-time working relationship, and I am super happy with their professionalism!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Occasionally, I have to repeat myself in asking for edits, but they always get it done so it's not a problem.
