Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the owner of Vancouver Bouncy Castle. We rent accessories for public and private events, specifically bouncy castles. We also rent out chairs, tables, and food machines like popcorn and cotton candy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Ironball Marketing?

When we started working as a brand-new company, I needed help with the web development and SEO strategy of my website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Ironball Marketing has assisted me with the development of my website using WordPress, and they take care of the hosting and maintenance of it. They also do the SEO strategy; we discuss keywords and locations I want to market in and take it from there.

When we started working together, we developed a brand awareness campaign through Facebook ads since my company was brand new. They guided me throughout the whole process and explained to me their approach and what was going to work for my company.

What is the team composition?

Gerald (Founder) is the only person I deal with. He has a team of 3–4 other people that he delegates to, although I personally haven't dealt with them.

How did you come to work with Ironball Company?

They were referred to me by a friend who had worked with them before.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $40,000–$55,000 CAD (approximately $30,000–$40,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2018, and our arrangement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The SEO strategy that Ironball Marketing has created has really worked for me. We’ve been ranking number one for relevant keywords for the past three years, which has gotten my business to where it is today. Mine is only a four-year-old business, and I’m competing against other companies that have 20 years of experience.

How did Ironball Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re always within budget and meet deadlines. We mainly communicate using phone calls and Zoom. To keep track of tasks, we use a specific chat where I let them know what I want and keep a thread going.

What did you find most impressive about them?

My biggest highlight about using Ironball Marketing is that they have a broad range of skills. Gerald has been a good business consultant. He doesn’t only do web development or SEO; he answers any questions I have.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they need to improve. They’ve delivered everything that I asked for. Up until now, there hasn't been a negative situation in our business relationship.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

SEO and marketing services can be expensive, and you have to spend money to make money. Seeing results can take time, and I’d advise trusting the process.
