Our company is a product organization. We build products to automate the sales force of companies. We play in the spaces between distributors and retailers and between manufacturing companies and direct stores. We also provide the implementation for most of our customers.

What challenge were you trying to address with IdeaPlunge Solutions LLP?

We wanted to build a mobile and windows product, but we didn't have enough internal bandwidth. We had a very short time frame to deliver the product, so we went to IdeaPlunge to help us with the project.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped us build the application. It's a retail distribution app built for mobile and Microsoft platforms. It detects fraud at the retailer end when distributors sell their products.

What is the team composition?

When we started the project, we communicated with their CEO. Once the project was signed off, they set up a team made up of a project manager, a tech lead, and two developers. Our point of contact was the project manager.

We got to know them through our network.

How much have you invested with them?

We paid about $35,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together around January 2019, and the project wrapped up around April 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It's a B2B product, so the number of users is not particularly high, but the volume of business is good. At this point in time, the userbase is very limited, but we anticipate a good revenue stream in the future. We have plans to develop buildouts soon.

How did IdeaPlunge Solutions LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

They managed the project well on their end. They offered solutions to our customers' problems, which was a major advantage that added a lot of value. Internally, we use Hangouts, but for this particular project we had separate threads on Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The speed and experience they brought to the table were their most important contributions. Their skills and collaboration worked well for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We only worked on one project together in a very short period of time. They did very well, and I don't have any recommendations or improvements for them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make the best use of their experience and skillset. As a small company, they are very available to act as consultants. Consider all the services they offer when you work with them.

I’m an HR Recruitment Manager in the HR division of a global professional services company.

For what projects/services did your company hire IdeaPlunge Solutions LLP?

We wanted to build a mobile app to facilitate recruitment by helping candidates learn about specific companies. You can post pictures, profiles, and videos about the job, roles, work space and employee details, all through the app.

What were your goals for this project?

Since recruitment is a highly competitive industry, we wanted to achieve two things: one, to retain our existing user base of companies and candidates, and two, to deliver an end-to-end mobility service to our customers with high-end features like live chatting, pictures, and videos. Since there were already a few similar apps out there, we wanted ours to be intuitive, simple, and user-friendly.

How did you select this vendor?

IdeaPlunge has a strong digital marketing presence, so it kept coming up on our searches. Many other people recommended this company as well. We’d been regularly reading their blog, which showcased current tech trends and the kind of work they do for their clients, and found it quite impressive.

Describe the project in detail.

We wanted to have the app developed for both Android and iOS users, but then, IdeaPlunge suggested that we just make a hybrid app, so we changed the plan. The app needed a solid framework, and since it had numerous pages, we needed to have a good UI and UX. The project also required extensive, secure database systems to support our massive information feed, so, vulnerability was a prime concern. The app also involved a lot of pictures and videos, so they gave us fast loading times.

What was the team composition?

The team consisted of tech leads, project managers, UI/UX designers, coders, and testers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They delivered the app on time and it came out just as we’d envisioned it. The UI/UX was excellent, and the way the information was stored and distributed was really effective. After the launch, we saw a lot of improvement in our customer base. Our trial to registration conversion rate rose by 40%, which is pretty impressive for the beginning phase.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The product was tested at regular intervals and the team at IdeaPlunge kept us updated on key development phases. They were available at any time of day and open to suggestions and changes. Both our teams had regularly scheduled meetings, so the workflow was consistently smooth.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

For one, their team was really skilled, friendly, and flexible. They understood our core concept well and offered us several feasible solutions, especially when it came to visual design guidelines and security. A second would be accessibility. The company doesn’t have any confusing internal intermediaries and was very transparent. We were able to directly interact with the developers to check on the development of the product.

Though it was a moderately sized, the team was highly skilled and knowledgeable. They all had strong and impressive technical backgrounds, which mattered to us a great deal. Being in the industry for several years now, I could tell they had a very good understanding of Android, iOS and Hybrid platforms.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I don’t think there’s any room for improvement.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our upgraded app recently launched and users have seen great improvements in usability and mobile compatibility.

Since their team was flexible and directly interacted with us, they were close to meeting our intended deadlines and made the workflow smooth. IdeaPlunge worked effectively through their transparency, talented coding, and technical knowledge.

Their flexibility, consistent delivery of quality products, technical know-how, and thorough understanding of startup culture vs. the Fortune 500 landscape impressed us. They nurtured our idea to be feasible and added value through tech solutions.
