Introduce your business and what you do there.

I am the CTO and a partner of cPaperless. We do productivity software for the accounting space.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Inncrewin Technologies?

We wanted our development costs to be manageable. We were looking for a vendor in India. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Inncrewin does basic end to end software for us. Just about everything that my company offers has been built by them. They implement, analyze, test, and deploy. They also help us with recruitment when we want to hire new people or expand the number of people on our team.

They work in a Microsoft stack with .NET and Azure, and use React on the frontend as well. We work in the tax and accounting space, so they do all sorts of things such as the secure delivery of files, a bunch of SM collations, and a bit of based and inference-based recognition, too.

What is the team composition?

There are 52 people assigned to the project.

How did you come to work with Inncrewin Technologies?

The founder of the company and I went to college together. I was starting something in the US, and he had set up shop. I needed an outsourced vendor, so I got in touch with him.

What is the status of this engagement?

It has been a long time now. It was in January 2012, and they still work for us.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We are pretty agile, and we use sprints pretty extensively. I conduct quarterly reviews as well as annual reviews, so we have a pretty good sense of how things have gone, but we don’t have a formalized system. They provide pretty high-quality work and I am pretty pleased with the quality of people they have assigned. For a small company, they have really been able to hire some excellent technical people.

How did Inncrewin Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They are very good, and they use effective tools. I have complete insight into what anyone is doing, what the pipeline looks like, and what future deployments look like. They do a pretty good job there.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They do the work, and honestly that is a big deal. They’re structured about their work and are quite flexible. They give you a lot of leeway to set up your own team and how to structure them, even if you want to incorporate some of your own processes. I find them quite pleasant to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you have a good idea of what you want to be done. They will do what you want, and they will do it well, but you need to give clear instructions.

They are very transparent, which is something I really like. There isn’t a lot of unnecessary upselling and cross-selling; they are very focused on the work so if someone is looking for a technically sound development shop, then this is definitely it.
