By leveraging the capabilities of the ffmpeg library, the plugin allows users to efficiently handle and manipulate multiple media files simultaneously, enhancing the overall efficiency of video and photo management within the WordPress environment

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

With our solution, we could effortlessly upload extensive batches of videos to our website, significantly reducing the time and effort that would have otherwise been spent on manual data entry. 

This streamlined process not only saved us valuable time but also ensured a more efficient and automated approach to handling large volumes of video content on our website.

I work as a software engineer for a software company that focuses on restaurant management.

What challenge were you trying to address with InfinityBits?

I hired InfinityBits to provide custom software development services for a personal project. This was a side research project that I wanted to do by myself. Since my work relates to AI and machine learning, I had the idea of developing a chatbot that would help people when they relocate to a particular location.

I named the research topic as relocation assist chatbot. I wanted to create a chatbot that functions like a messaging window, which automatically helps users with all questions they have when they relocate to a new city. To some extent, Google Maps can help, but some questions cannot be answered.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started developing this chatbot and training the chatbot with the data sets, and the information that needed to be shown to the user was the most important key. The main idea behind this chatbot was to train it over and over. If the chatbot is asked a question and the answer to that question is not present in the local database, it will go and search in third-party databases. It will fetch that answer and store it in the local database. The next time the same question is asked, it doesn't have to go and search on third-party databases. The more interactions that it has with the user, the more the chatbot will be trained.

I wanted the chatbot developed on Python as a backend programming language because I'm familiar with it. Also, that way, I could indulge in whatever development Infinity Bits was doing and maybe help them out to some extent if I had to. There were various machine-learning modules in the chatbot. We went with a chatbot that had an API module in Python because it was easy to import, and we could use that to train the chatbot easily.

For the frontend, we just went with a normal HTML page so that we would have a window where users could input the text messages of the queries. We went with the Firebase database provided by Google as well.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact was Ali (Software Consultant), and I worked with two designers from their team.

How did you come to work with InfinityBits?

I found out about them through one of my college friends. He suggested them to me, stating that they were growing and good with their work, especially with their delivery process. Moreover, he told me that they were eager to get on new projects and help people out with whatever technological advancement project. Hence I reached out to them, and we began the project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent roughly $4,000 on the project.

What is the status of the engagement?

We worked together on this project from June–October 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched it locally and tested it on the local environment; it was working. We haven’t launched it yet due to my unavailability and some budget constraints.

Overall, I found InfinityBits’ work up to the mark. I didn't have any issues with any requirements that I had. I also understood the limitations of my project, and I knew it could never be 100% accurate.

How did InfinityBits perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication was pretty good. We communicated once a month to keep track of the project’s progress. Moreover, we documented things so that we didn't end up with any issues or go back to developing something we didn't want to. We always wrote down the requirements, what exactly we wanted to achieve, and how we wanted to proceed with it. For communication, we used Zoom.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project evolved, and the way the team came up with suggestions for training the chatbot was amazing. Overall, I was impressed with the approach that their developers had and how they handled every situation.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They should use some tools that would allow them to track the onboarding process or meet the customer's tracking requirements.

Any advice for potential customers?

Have the requirements of what you need to be developed jotted down to avoid getting lost in the design or development. Also, providing them with a brief idea of what it is you exactly want will be helpful.

They presented the project within the agreed timeline. If we had a problem, they were fast to solve it. We mostly communicated through Upwork, WhatsApp, and Skype.

Other features include an efficient Quran player, a Playlist and Share option, and a daily Prayer timing section based on the user’s location.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were happy to see the application go Live. They User experience was designed keeping in mind the target audience. Featured functionalities got developed like they were required. The ask was challenging because of its unique requirements but the development team collaborated and ensured a quality end product.

They are quite advanced in terms of project management style. The assigned team comprised 3 engineers and a project manager. We used to have weekly discussions and demo sessions over Zoom. Along with that, they were in continuous contact over Slack. Although there were changes suggested they completed the project on time.

They take the project as their own by getting involved in the requirement discussion that leads to a sleek and professional design which is of great help for us. Their engineers are experienced and are well-equipped with the latest technology stack. The best part of working with them was their keenness and agile work nature to accept minor changes where required.

In our 3 years of experience working with them every time we discuss some app development consultancy they always stood one step ahead in terms of knowledge and best industry practices. The best part I noticed working with them is that they are improving and growing over time without any compromises on the quality.

During the COVID period we came across multiple challenges due to lockdowns. To help our clients with fitness and gym routine we decided to go for an application with options to help our clients train from the comfort of their home. After a few meetings with InfinityBits we get them onboard for this App development idea.

Home BodySculpt represents an idea that is to help people design and train for a personalized workout plan and nutrition program. We have a mobile app for client user, dashboard for admin controls and content creating & sharing, and a web page. The backend is I think is on some dedicated server. For the technology I guess they used React Native and for web part it was React.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Although the timeline was strict but they managed to figure out and deliver the apps for our testing after publishing on the app store and play store.

The project Management style might need improvements. I don't know a lot of details about the tools they used but we used to have weekly meetings and milestone based demo meetings. Over the last 2 months there have been several meetings which was mainly because there were differences in understanding the requirements. Yet, overall they managed well.

They were hardworking and ready to go the extra mile.

The use of advanced project management tools might help to smooth the overall process.
