BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Chahal Electricals is an electrical service and consultancy company. We deal in designing and building electrical construction and are experienced in new construction, retrofit/remodel projects, and tenant improvement and maintenance for retail, commercial, industrial, educational, historical, and high-density residential communities. We also deal with government tenders for electrical construction. My position in the company is of CEO. I have a team of 50 people. that includes managers, junior engineers, supervisors, and linemens.

For what projects/services did your company hire InfiDoor Technologies?

We hired infidoor technologies to make an app-based platform to manage our team and tenders with small contractors. The apps also include auction window to allot tenders to small contractors.

What were your goals for this project?

This project will help us digitize our work and speed up the processes to manage tenders and team. It will also help in increasing our ROI.

Describe the project in detail.

This project includes an admin app, a merchant app, and a team members app. Apps are for both android and iOS platform. This is kind of internal management project. Admin App helps in managing team, watching over team attendance and assigning team work. Through admin we are also able to post tenders for auction.

The merchant app helps small contractors bid for the tenders and manage tenders assigned to them. Team members app helps team members manage their daily attendance and work assigned to them.

What was the team composition?

Team composition from infidoor includes Sales representative, who initially contacted with us for agreement and project kickoff. After that, a project manager was assigned for our project who take cares for the whole projects and requirements capture. We were in contact with the project manager throughout the project who updated us periodically over the project progress.

Sometimes we also have a full-team meeting to discuss technical barriers. I was made aware by infidoor team that team working on project includes of 2 iOS Developers, 2 Android Developers and 1 Quality assurance engineer besides project manager.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

it has been two months since the completion of the project and we are using this platform in a full-fledged manner. Seamless apps they have made. After introducing this platform in an organization our day-to-day work of management has become much more simple. Now, we can keep track of our team with just a single click.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Project manager assigned to us had good technical knowledge. We used to connect every Friday over Skype to get updates about the progress. Thanks to his good knowledge and whole teamwork, we got our project within the timelines. My team and I were connected with project manager and whole technical team through Google Chat and Basecamp.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

A very innovative and technically qualified team infidoor has. We were delivered a bug-free platform. Their way of handling our project is worth rating. They were very professional in their approach of handling and delivering a project. Throughout the project span they kept us updated about the progress and provide us solutions that are well suited for our business. I can say they are very professional and have good technical skills.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think they should improve in expanding their business to reach throughout the globe so that clients can meet their representative physically as well.
