BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am an HCM Coordinator for Chicago Trading Company. I mainly assist with our recruiting efforts, but also help out our leadership & exec team by coordinating projects like this one.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Indigo Productions, and what were your goals?

We hired Indigo Productions to produce a short (~2 minutes) video tour of our NYC office, so we could showcase our brand new space to our Chicago & London offices during our virtual town hall meeting. We wanted the video to be fun & high quality to really get our employees in different cities excited about this new development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We reached out to Indigo Productions based on their impressively high rating on Google, and decided to hire them based on their high level of professionalism during the quoting process. They are also Manhattan-based which worked well location-wise.

Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.

I began the process with a phone call to their main line ended up speaking with their production manager. We discussed a basic overview of our project, timeline, and pricing. After this conversation, a formal and detailed quote was sent over. Once paid, we hopped on a Zoom call with the production team (PM, cameraman, editors) to nail down exact vision we had prior to shooting. The team asked many relevant questions and did a great job of anticipating our needs.

The filming process came next, which took around four hours and went very smoothly. Our cameraman arrived on time and essentially took care of the whole set up and filming process. The final stage of production was the editing. Indigo made sure to involve us in this process by asking for our feedback when needed, and I could tell that they really got a grasp of our vision during our Zoom call with the team. Overall, the process was very efficient and produced a really great video in a pretty short time frame.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

My initial call was with their production manager, Clementine; She was extremely helpful and did a great job of assessing our needs for the video. Their cameraman Johnny arrived on-time and began setting up right away. Since we were just capturing videos of our office space (no audio/people/etc.), not much assistance was needed on my end but Johnny made sure to ask for my input when necessary. We also worked with George as our editor, and we really appreciated his attention to detail regarding our branding and willingness to execute exactly what we had in mind for our intro.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We got lots of compliments on the video's high level of quality, most notably from our CEO. Our leadership and exec team were so impressed that they also decided to include this video as part of our recruiting efforts for NY-based candidates, to really get them pumped up about their potential new workspace.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Our project was managed and completed very efficiently. Clementine was the project manager for our video, and she did an excellent job of assessing our needs in the initial conversation, providing us with a detailed and accurate quote, and making sure our team and their team were both on the same page when it came to turnaround time and video content.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their team is truly great at what they do. After working with them, it is very apparent that they have the expertise and creativity to suggest things that you may not have thought of, but that really add value to and elevate your finished product.
