Indigo Labs team took over development of IRRIOT Cloud functionality from the initial team and quickly was able to pick up speed in development of the new features. The development consisted of the backend Azure IoT Hub functions as well as Angular based front end. A number of scalability issues have been addressed as the customer base grew larger.

After delivering excellently on these key initiatives we have continued our cooperation and attached further resources from Indigo labs focusing on scaling, spreading best practices to our internal team and using Indigo labs as a catalyst for growing our internal tech team.

As a global e-commerce company we have surges in traffic that we need to handle. A big part of our initial scope for Indigo Labs was to be able to scale our platform to handle 5x the traffic of our current setup. In this initial scope was also a switch from a costly authentication provider to a implementation built around best practices in the .NET space. Indigo Labs has delivered above and beyond on these key points, spreading knowledge and driving initiatives.

Indigo labs is a great partner to pair with. They are a driving force coming with fresh perspective and asking the right questions. They do thorough case studies before implementation, and make sure to follow up with key stakeholders to spread information and make sure that deadlines are hit in a timely fashion. Working remotely can be a challenge, but with Indigo labs you get a partner that knows how to clearly communicate and spread knowledge. We hired Indigo labs to help us develop an application that was built in Bubble but required custom backend for integrations with other vendors. They developed the whole backend and APIs and helped us with setting up Bubble workflows and connecting to payment processor.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Indigo labs team delivered the backend on time & we were able to publish v2.0 of the app in agreed timeframe. Apart from rewriting the backend and making it much more maintainable, they also made sure to transfer all the existing data from v1.0 & make the transition seamless for the end users - all they had to do was login back into the system.

They were timely and kept us well-informed about the progress. Before the start of the project we prepared a timeline with a couple of deadlines and they made sure to deliver everything on time. There were some change requests and additional items during the project and they didn't hesitate to implement those as well.

The core of their team consists of senior architects that always make sure to do the groundwork to the best of their abilities. By doing the hard stuff early on in the project, things run much smoother during the development/deployment. I think that is what sets them apart to some other companies I've worked with. Plus they have a lot of wizards in their team who just make sure they always have the right answers when it comes to challenges.

At times I wished they engaged more during the development process and kept us updated daily, which wasn't always the case. But the end result was still the same - they (over)delivered in the end.

• Ability to meet project milestones and deadlines. It involves comparing the planned schedule with the actual progress made. 
• Cost variance to compares the planned budget with the actual expenditure for the team's work. It helps determine if they are managing their resources efficiently and staying within the allocated budget. 
• Defect density to measure the number of defects or bugs found in the deliverables per unit of code. 
• Customer satisfaction and feedback from stakeholders and end-users - assessing customer satisfaction. Communication and collaboration with the team.

Most importantly they regularly communicate project updates, milestones, and any changes in requirements. Quality assurance includes regular code reviews, testing, and quality checks to identify and address any issues early on. On top, they are always flexible in change management trying to understand shift in priorities and support it in a proactive manner.

First of all, We had a really tight timetable as the platform had to be up and running in time for a big Swedish car show. We then obviously had goals for traffic, users and transactions in the platform. Something that we also were able to achieve together.

I was very impressed with the way Indigo Labs worked with us as a small start up with all that means in terms of changes and adjustments. All deliveries were on time and with good communication regarding decisions and adjustments to keep the schedule. My experience is that Indigo always did their best to meet our requests, clearly informed about changes and decisions that affected the schedule and with good alternative suggestions to meet our requests.
