When we brought in a new client who needed SEO services, we presented the info to iMark, who then did a full analysis of the client's website and current SEO standings. They gave us suggestions on keywords to go after and what terms we should not try and rank for. They then provided us with a list of things needed to correct on that website, then began doing the off-site SEO work. What is great is that over time, they would review the client website and make additional suggestions on ways to improve it.

Google is currently not ranking him as high as his competitors so we are doing a combined PPC & SEO campaign to bring him up on the search results. It was critical that he gets immediate success which is why we layered the PPC on top of the SEO. Some important deliverables are the backlinks and the tracking results/goals in the PPC campaign so we can ensure the client is not wasting money.

Due to weekly reporting we are already seeing a bump in clicks and organic website visits measured by our tracking components. The client is pleased so far!

We launched in April 2020, and we wanted to work on our digital marketing campaigns. As a result, we needed a service provider to help us with our on- and off-page SEO campaigns.

iMark is working on our on- and off-page SEO campaigns, including our link-building efforts. They’re responsible for doing keyword research, where we target around 50 keywords to rank for. 

They’re writing guest posts for us to build links for the website. On top of that, they’re creating profiles for our company on various platforms to ensure we rank higher on search engines. 

What is the team composition?

I mainly interact with the account manager, who’s also in charge of keyword research and reporting. Other specialists are also working on website development, writing guest posts, and doing other things.

I found them on Upwork, where I interviewed several vendors. I felt that iMark was the strongest of them.

They had great reviews, and the contract was straightforward: they would help us find high-volume keywords to rank for while doing competitor analysis to see which ones were relevant to our industry. Given that, we decided to go on a six-month contract with them.

So far, we’ve invested around $5,000. We’ve renewed our contract, and each of the contracts costs around $2,500–$3,000.

We started working with them in April 2020, and the project is ongoing.

We check out Google Analytics to see how we’re performing, and we’re currently ranking highly for the keywords we’re targeting. Right now, we rank first for keywords like “high-performance athletic wear” and “high-performance apparel activewear.”

How did iMark Infotech Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Although there were delays at first, our communication has improved. Initially, it took iMark a few days to respond to us. However, we believe that was only because of the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

iMark delivers in terms of helping us rank highly for keywords that we didn't rank for in the past. On the other hand, we haven’t tried other SEO service providers, so we don’t know if these results are expected. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. When we have issues, I simply complain to them directly, such as when we had problems in communication. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear of what you want to accomplish and what your goals are. They have a lot of services that you can use, such as running competitor analysis, keyword research, and updates on your website. It’s always good to ask them for those things.

I have a niche to specialize in healthcare marketing, so I have a lot of small physician practices and the largest physician practice on the East Coast for vascular surgery. I also have podiatrists, plastic surgeons, physical therapists, and orthodontists as part of my clientele. I was looking for support, but I was still unsure if I could get the consistency and the commitment to excellence that I need for my customers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

iMark Infotech Pvt. Ltd. provides SEO services for my customers in the healthcare industry. Initially, they started providing keyword research to a podiatrist customer, but now they’re doing that for all my customers.

Additionally, they also do quite a bit of content creation like blogging and link building for my website.

What is the team composition?

There are quite a few people working at different times. In the emails that I use on our project management software, Basecamp, there are as many as 15 people involved. However, I typically see about four people involved on a monthly basis who communicate with me. Although I only communicate through a team leader.

I know there’s a decent team working on my accounts. I don’t know what their specific titles are, but what I do know is they’re all digital marketing specialists. Because each one that I interact with knows exactly what they’re doing — I never have to correct them.

How did you come to work with iMark Infotech Pvt. Ltd.?

iMark Infotech reached out to us and seemed to have a really good presentation. We checked them out online and found that they have a legitimate presence, so I gave them a shot. 

I ignore most of the emails I get except for iMark Infotech’s. Mainly because they didn’t try to hide who they were. I get all these emails from "John Jones" or "Terry Smith @gmail.com", and I know that they’re foreign offshore companies trying to get me to respond. iMark Infotech was straightforward, saying that they’re one of the largest companies in India. I can tell that they have a handle on what they’re doing based on how they communicated through email.

They were upfront and honest about who they were from the start — and their prices are outstanding. I took the opportunity to increase my revenue with each client that I send them to save money.

What is the status of this engagement?

The ongoing partnership started in January 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Percentage-wise, I experienced a 40% increase in revenue by going with iMark Infotech over my previous supplier. What’s important to local SEO is to make sure that my clients get on page one of Google — and without exception, they manage to get them there with any customer I give them.

As I said, I’m an expert, so when something’s not right I can fix it right away. I wouldn’t advise my customers to do this if the team didn’t know what they’re doing — but they do a good job. They may need little guidance as there are some cultural differences that must be corrected. Sometimes they’ll select a term that’s totally unrelated in a keyword research, but that’s how it would be with anybody.

They are also uber-communicative. I hear from my team leader 2–3 times a week, I get weekly and monthly reports that I never ask for, and if anything significant happens such as a rise in recurring domains or rank, I get a notification on it. That high degree of communication is one of the things that makes me feel very comfortable about iMark Infotech.

How did iMark Infotech Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They perform very well. They use a lot of the same tools that I would use if I was doing the work. It’s clear and I recognize the tools from their reporting like SEMrush and other well-known SEO tools. That proves to me that they know what they’re doing because it takes time to ferret out those tools and pick the best ones. I already know what the best tools are because we vet all of them. Thus, it gives me more confidence when I see them using the tools that we think are number one in the industry.

They’re also very good with Basecamp. They send me all the documents through there, and it allows me to know what they’re doing on a daily basis. It’s a great tool and they use it well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing that’s impressive is they’re willing to jump on a call any time it’s necessary. Despite the fact that it happens when it’s convenient for me to talk to them, which is usually at night. Their communication skills are also very good, so it’s comfortable doing business with them as an outsourcer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No frankly, they exceeded my expectations. Their prices are great, they communicate well, and they do what they say they’re going to do. I don’t know what more you could ask from a good vendor.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice would be to answer them quickly and efficiently in Basecamp when they need something from you. The only time things start to go south is when I lag behind what they say they need. The best way to have them do the best job, is when they ask for something like reviewing keywords. If you get back to them right away, they will act immediately. If you don’t, they’ll wait for you.

They’re kind of polite. They’ll remind you and they’re never overbearing — but it delays the project. The only thing I have to complain about in this relationship, is that sometimes I’m too busy to get back sufficiently as I’d like to.

Most deliverables were completed after much delays, iterations, some were postponed (posting an eBook on publishing platforms). Best work was the landing page on second domain name

Project management style is at beginners level, with a multitude of emails/communications/threats on Upwork - the project was delayed by about 3-months with a lot of time and effort solving miss-communications. It's almost as the company accepted the project without scoping this internally. I'm currently waiting on response from complaint to Upwork about the ethics of this company to warn other potential buyers.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their honesty at the beginning, commitment, and determination to solve technical problems were impressive. But once the project was completed they did not respect the after service support. Although the company discounted final payment currently some API links are not working and mobile version not professional due to their coding.

Project management / professionalisation of coordination definitely / technical level of their project managers outside 1-2 whom I perceive to be well knowledgeable.
