BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

Multi-franchise motorcycle dealer group, which currently has a total of 11 sites across the UK. My role is Marketing Manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire Illustrate Digital?

Illustrate Digital had built us a bespoke, custom made website for our motorcycle dealerships. Much of the functionality and features started off as ideas and suggestions, and Illustrate Digital were able to make those into reality. 

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

CEO Scott was a customer of ours and an avid motorcyclist, and he had approached us with ideas to improve and develop our website. We of course listened to his pitch and were keen to get them into action.

Describe the project in detail and walk through their service package.

We required a multi-location, multi-franchise, manufacturer focussed and bespoke website, which hosted our New and Used stock, include Blog Posts, Service and MOT lead capture, and integrated our social media channels. Along with our DMS provider, they helped set up the feeds for our used stock.

More recently they developed the sites contact forms, which helped us manage and direct enquiries much more efficiently. They had also developed a 'Reserve Now' function for our used bikes, helping improve UX further. They were helpful when it came to developing ideas and user experience on the site, were able to resolve glitches in code and bug issues effectively.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Their Client Account Director and Client Relationship Manager were our main point of contact for the most part, but sometimes raised tickets were handled by Support Technicians or Support Lead.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They had developed a site which suited our business needs at the time, we had a site that was able to portray our brand and our franchises successfully. We were able to customise the majority of site, which for us was key in keeping up with the changing time of the industry. We felt we were able to achieve most of our goals with the team's help and input.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Queries answered quickly, with same-day replies and tickets raised immediately.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

You receive a personal and professional experience.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could have route caused some issues more effectively, which would of avoided reoccurring problems. Sometimes communications were a little unclear, and some issues were left ongoing for longer than we would have liked.

We looked across multiple vendors in the WordPress areana. Illustrate Digital were chosen due to their excellent work history

After the initial design was completed by our design agency, we worked closely with the developers to create a working copy of the new site.

There were project managers, QA and of course developers

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Throughout the process, the team at Illustrate Digital, lead by Em and Jonny, worked tirelessly to ensure we go the very best product, often doing more than we asked for as they knew it would add value

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication and project management flow was exceptional, all managed via shared Asana boards

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their customer focus and drive for perfection made us stand out.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There was an initial hiccup with the choice of PM, but this was quickly resolved and turned out to be a gift
