BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

We produce, manufacture, and package breakfast cereals using locally produced grains made in Ghana. We have about four cereal products that we sell to supermarkets.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address withHutchful Creatives?

During the COVID-19 lockdown, most of our external customers wanted to keep purchasing from us. However, they wanted an easier and faster way to do so because our products weren’t in most supermarkets. As a result, we hired Hutchful Creatives to build our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hutchful Creatives designed an e-commerce site that enabled our third-party customers to purchase our products online and have them delivered quickly. To allow them to complete our platform, we provided the history of our company and our services. On top of that, we gave them the health benefits of our products, product descriptions, prices, and more. 

They also integrated Flutterwave into the platform so that we could receive payments. To speed up the process, we took photos of our products and they helped us capture high-quality images. In the end, they delivered the site in two weeks or less. We’re still in touch and currently discussing a website update. We’re asking them to add more videos and other materials to the site.

What is the team composition?

I’m working with two people from Hutchful Creatives, including Ian (Owner).

How did you come to work with Hutchful Creatives?

We spoke with a lot of vendors, but we couldn’t find a company that understood what we wanted. Moreover, several of the designers we spoke to weren’t very punctual or wouldn’t give us the attention that we needed. When I spoke with the Hutchful Creatives team, they came back to us two days later with an idea of what we should do for our business. We found them on Instagram, and they were also recommended to us. In the end, we decided to go with them because they helped us from the start.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent around 3,500 Ghanaian Cedi (approximately $600 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in April 2020, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Hutchful Creatives’ work, the online purchasing process on our website has been very fast. On top of that, our platform looks good and our external clients admire it; the site is mobile-friendly, detailed, and colorful. We highly appreciate the team’s effort in helping us understand what we needed.

How did Hutchful Creatives perform from a project management standpoint?

Their performance and project management process have been good, and they always get back to us with their progress. In addition, they take the time to listen to our concerns and work things out when needed. We communicate through WhatsApp and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have good customer service — they make their customers feel that they’re a priority.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I honestly don’t have anything to add here. They’ve done a great job and the website has given us a level of recognition that we never thought we’d get.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Go with Hutchful Creatives — they’re one of the best companies in Ghana. You won’t get the kind of service they provide anywhere. They’ll give you all the advice that you need.
