KUPLATFORM - IT company, owner of the mobile service QROOTO, cashback platform. As a Head of Product at Qrooto I was responsible for leading the product development and for bringing it to market

For what projects/services did your company hire House of Apps, and what were your goals?
Our goal was to pivot on our initial product based on the market feedback. We involved HOUSE OF APPS to help us review and adjust our business model, redesign and build a mobile app, changing the entire product architecture.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We searched for an app developer among the app dev studios, shortlisted 3 and interviewed them all. We chose HOUSE of Apps for their efficiency, competencies, their pro-active approach and based on their past projects.

HOUSE OF APPS have worked closely with our team on product pivot strategy, UX/UI design and they developed the mobile app for iOS and Android, as well as the backend and the admin panel. The projects ran in sprints and included these major stages:
Develop the idea and the business model
market analysis, user research, forming of hypothesis and testing. This was delivered in the form of workshops.
UX/ UI design.
Deliverable: The mindmaps, the actual design in Figma, video presentations and the prototype.
Software development.
Deliverables: mobile app for iOS, Android, backend and admin panel.
Technologies used included: Swift, Kotlin, PHP and Node.js, Angular, ElasticSearch
Some of the product features that were implemented: multifactor authentication, personalisation, QR code scanner, reviews, automated chat, fuzzy type ahead search, push notifications, etc.

We worked with the team of 9 people on the HOUSE OF APPS side and the team looked like this: Tech lead, DevOps, UX/ UI designer, frontend developer, backend developer, iOS developer, Android developer, PM and QA

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The updated product met our expectations, it was completed in full and was handed over to our internal team. The work itself as well as the handover was done professionally, delivered on time and within budget. The current rating in App Store is 3.9 with more than one million downloads and 3.4 on Google Play with also more than a million of downloads.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Working with them was a delight. They’ve been very professional and showed great expertise and involvement. We appreciated the overall transparency and the work ethics. The project took several months to complete and during that time our internal team had a fantastic experience working with the HOUSE OF APPS’ team as if they were a part of our organisation. The team used mostly Trello, Slack, Figma and Miro for collaboration with us.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Vitaliy, the CEO had been deeply involved in the project - he shared his expertise and helped us with the product strategy. And the rest of the team have been brilliant bringing their experiences to the table. They were proactive in sharing their ideas and suggesting better solutions. The overall spirit on the project was very open and friendly.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No, not really. I think they should just keep up their expertise and the pro-active attitude that we’ve seen.

We were looking to build a mobile app for Heinz Baby, a baby food brand, that would help young parents to start the weaning process for their babies.

The scope of work was to design, develop, launch and support the mobile app for Heinz Baby brand. HOUSE OF APPS developed the user journey and various scenarios, designed the UX and UI, developed the mobile apps for iOS and android as well as the backend. These were the key deliverables along the way.
The entire project was ran in Asana, we used Figma and Mira for collaboration. After the app was launched their proprietary technology H-One was integrated within the app, allowing us to manage targeted push notifications and analyse user data.

hey’re well organised and very diligent, which is quite impressive given that we’ve worked with them for more than six years. One of the other things I appreciated about the team was the level of openness and transparency. The guys are very friendly and laid back. We had a good chemistry - almost immediately it felt like they were a part of our team.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were impressed by their proactivity and enthusiasm, how involved they have been in helping us strategise and solve complex issues that may have been out of scope for the team. I appreciated that they were always there even after the project transitioned to the client.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing comes to mind. We’ve had great experience with the team. If anything, looking back, we could have involved the HOUSE OF APPS team earlier in the ideation process as their expertise helped us build a stronger project.
