Hir Infotech’s scope included:

IoT Integration: Embedded sensors in pallets to monitor location, condition (e.g., moisture damage), and usage cycles in real time.

Custom BI Platform: A centralized dashboard aggregating data from ERP systems, IoT devices, and client portals. Key features included dynamic inventory heatmaps and automated alerts for low stock thresholds.

latency issues in the IoT data pipeline. Their engineers reworked the architecture within 72 hours, deploying a hybrid cloud-edge solution without missing deadlines. What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their proactive problem-solving was unparalleled. For example, during testing, they identified a flaw in our pallet retrieval workflow unrelated to their scope. They proposed a gamified incentive system for warehouse staff to prioritize urgent orders, which reduced retrieval times by 25%. Their deep understanding of supply chain pain points—beyond pure tech—made them feel like an extension of our team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Hir Infotech could have done differently?

The initial onboarding process for non-technical staff was overwhelming. While Hir Infotech provided training, simplified “cheat sheets” for frontline workers (e.g., troubleshooting common dashboard errors) would have eased the transition. Additionally, earlier inclusion of field operators in UX testing could have streamlined the portal’s design for mobile use in warehouses.
