Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the small business and entrepreneur coordinator at the Rome Chamber of Commerce. I oversee technology, as well as small businesses and startups.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Hexalinks?

We wanted to install a media system with screens in our lobby and boardroom to play myriad programs.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hexalinks installed a television wall in the lobby with four screens. They then mounted three televisions in the boardroom and connected them to the same system. The team ran cable for the HDMI, installed the matrix components, and set up the wi-fi. Next, Hexalinks wrote a mobile app on open-source code, which they customized for our staff’s iPads and phones. We’re now in a warranty period with the team. They tweak the app as needed and make sure everything else is working properly.

We worked directly with the founder.

How did you come to work with Hexalinks?

The founder has been a member and active on our committees. He participated in a competitive bid and was the best fit for us.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2018 and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The media system has impressed internal and external stakeholders. The installations and video programming show we’re a modern and technologically up-to-date organization. This impact is especially noticeable during boardroom presentations.

How did Hexalinks perform from a project management standpoint?

The founder is an effective point of contact via phone, email, and text. Whenever we call, he follows up and solves the problem within one business day. His team is also responsive and communicative.

What did you find most impressive about them?

As a nonprofit, we don’t have a lot of money to spend. However, we get good prices because they routinely identify cost-effective solutions that yield quality results.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They do a great job and I have no complaints.

Be upfront with the budget and specifications. They collaborate to meet client needs.
