I’m the co-founder and operations director of a nonprofit organization called Early Years Foundation Uganda. I’m also part of the advisory board as the secretary general. Our organization is a network of early childhood development practitioners in the country. We needed help with designing and hosting our website. We have an existing website, but it isn’t fully functional and doesn’t meet our standards.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hassel Free Marketing has created a new design for our website, added new pages, and uploaded all of our work to it; they’ve basically given it a new face. Last month, our web hosting expired, so we asked for their support. Currently, they’re in charge of our website and support us in training the person who handles our social media platforms. Their team performs day-to-day graphic design services for us as well.

We started with one person for the web design services, but now we’re working with four people from their side.

The website they’ve delivered looks really good. As a result, we've gotten a lot of positive feedback and many people asking us who did our website. Moreover, a lot of people have been reaching out, asking us about the work we do.

They meet most deadlines, and they inform us ahead whenever there might be some delays. They’re also always available and very responsive. For communication, we use email, WhatsApp, and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed with their pricing, resourcefulness, and constant availability.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would be very helpful to have an account manager assigned to each account.

Make sure to communicate consistently and document everything.

The feedback from my industry colleagues and external stakeholders has been generally positive, citing the website’s ease of navigation and simplistic design.

How did Hassel Free Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

The communication between me and the project manager was very good — the team delivered their outputs on time, and they were consistently receptive to feedback and development concerns throughout the process.

For revisions and general meetings, we typically used WhatsApp.

What I appreciated about Hassel Free Marketing were their creative solutions. They were able to come up with an innovative design for the website based on the general overview of my expectations.

We’re looking to make our partnership with their company an ongoing one because as a tourism organization, a number of factors need to be updated on the website, so we'll need their help to make continuous improvements to the platform.

What challenge were you trying to address with Hustle Free Solutions?

We wanted a fresh, new look for our website, so we needed someone to design and develop a website for us. Additionally, we wanted to give customers the freedom to perform certain transactions online instead of going to our offices.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hustle Free Solutions revamped our website. We wanted a fresh and clean design, so they first helped us define what that would look like. They then digitized our forms and made sure they were working correctly. In terms of content, the team had a copywriter work with us to polish our copy. Finally, they migrated our site from our old domain to a new one. 

We've already launched the site, but the Hustle Free Solutions team continues to maintain the site. They're also still finalizing some icons and functionalities that we've requested.

What is the team composition?

I requested to work with only one teammate, so I've only dealt with the project lead in charge of delegating the work. However, several people are working on the project.

They were recommended by a friend from high school who had worked with Hustle Free Solutions on branding. I inquired about web design, and the partnership evolved from there.

We've spent about $200.

The project started in August 2021 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Whenever I share the website with people, they seem happy with its clean design and security features. It's truly been successful in terms of getting people's attention.

Furthermore, it allows customers to accomplish certain forms online, which is a lot faster than if they were to go to our offices.

Hustle Free Solutions is a very professional team — their customer service is exceptional compared to other vendors I've worked with.

We communicate through Google Meet, where we discuss their tasks and the project's overall progress. They make sure to let me know if they need me to provide any documentation.

Their talent is exceptional, and they're highly professional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

To make collaboration more seamless, they could make use of a communication tool like Slack.

Have your content and all information on hand so that they're ready to go when it's time for them to develop the website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hustle Free Solutions designed and developed my website from scratch. First, I gave them some images to put on the site; however, the team advised me that they weren’t great and helped me acquire better photos. I also sent them some written content that needed to appear on the website. The team asked me to come up with certain information, as well. They already finished the site, but we have a follow-up with them in September 2021 where we can ask them for changes.

I shared the site with some friends, and they really liked it. I still need to make a few changes, but that’s an issue on my end.

Their project management was excellent. We primarily communicated via phone calls, but we also exchanged a few emails and WhatsApp messages.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were a team of good listeners — I was very comfortable working with them. I was impressed with their work, too.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would’ve loved it if we had gone through all the details initially, so they could tell me what I did and didn’t need. It would have helped me a lot. Somewhere in the process, they asked me for specific information and gave me 1–3 days to do it. It was a bit difficult for me.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I looked at one of the websites that this company had designed and I was impressed, so I contacted them to design ours too but this time with a little bit difference.

When we gave the company the contract to design the website, we held our first meeting and talked about which design we wanted. We looked at different websites and agreed to follow one design. Hustle free solutions then started the job, and in weeks time they were able to show us the design we shall use which we endorsed.

We gave them all the web content including the photos and on a weekly basis they would update us on the progress. In the final stages, I proofread the whole website and then advised what to omit and what to add. After that, I gave them a green light to upload the website.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I was very happy with the outcome of the project. They advised us as well as creating something that was eye-catching. So far we at Deluxe safaris Uganda are happy with the outcome of the project and hope to boost our online presence more than before.

The workflow is very effective in that we had consistent communication and there was no time when we complained about delay because the team at hustle free solutions was ever active and gave the first call.

One person who worked as he project manager moved with us all way through but he had other developers we didn't get chance to meet.

After the launch of the website we have seen a steady rise in inquiries about our products, we kept on updating the structure of the website which has for now driven traffic to our sales.

We don’t have numbers at the moment because of the COVID-19 situation. What I can say is that I love the website, and we like the quality and information on it. Our professional colleagues say it’s great, and we’ve been receiving positive reviews from the people that have seen it. I like to think the response on the website will be positive.

How did Hustle Free Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

We had meetings on a personal level. For any changes, we talked through email or phone calls. They were very timely.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It’s impressive the way they personalize their services. We were one of many projects they had, but they took the time to listen to us and our ideas. Their personalized services were 100% for me, and I’m very thankful for it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say there’s something that they can improve — I’m very satisfied with the project.

My advice for them would be to share your ideas with the web developer. That way, they know what you want and personalize the project to meet your needs. Also, be in touch with them as much as possible so they can consider your thoughts; that worked for me, and I’m happy about it.

As a ministry, we needed to have a website that allowed us to reach more people and expand our ministry. We had an existing website, but it wasn’t very good. Hustle Free Solutions is helping us design a new website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Hustle Free Solutions is building our website from scratch. I have zero knowledge about websites, so we appreciate their work and kindness. They check the website and update it to make sure everything is on point. The main purpose of the website is to reach out to some of our friends across the nation and maybe even get more people to view our work so that they can support us.

They’re still working on it, but they will be done soon. I’m the one who has delayed things by giving them some extra information.

We’ve spent around $250. I explained our situation to Ivan. They know we are a ministry and that we don’t have enough money.

We couldn’t pay them all at once; therefore, we pay them in small amounts. No one in the country creates a website for less than $1,000. They wanted to help us grow as we are a small organization.

We started the project in November 2020, and they’re still working on it. I’m the one that has delayed them.

Our website is looking better than the first one we had. There haven’t been any bugs. They’ve done a great job. If they keep their standards, we’ll have a very good impact.

They need better working tools. There have been some struggles with the laptop they use, but it might also be due to our country’s network. In addition, where they operate isn’t that accessible. If they could move somewhere that is more convenient and easier to access, it would be a great achievement for them.
