I’m the managing partner of a media production and consultancy company.

What challenge were you trying to address with GVH Development?

We secured a contract with one of our clients in which we were tasked to create and promote their brand. We hired GVH Development to cover the client’s online brand build-up.

What was the scope of their involvement?

GVH Development built the client’s website from scratch. We decided to go for a fully customized solution instead of open source. The client offered some input on the design, and we worked hand-in-hand with the GVH Development team on building the site.

They set up a virtual private server and then worked on the frontend using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. We avoided templates, so they built everything custom. On the backend, we chose the Laravel framework. We collaborated on the admin part of the website, and they helped us build a fully customizable solution. 

The team also provided support with email setup, and they did some SEO work on the site. Additionally, they helped us with data protection; GVH Development handled the GDPR setup required. We’ll start working on another project with them soon.

What is the team composition?

We work with a project manager and two full stack web developers from GVH Development. From our team, a consultant is involved.

How did you come to work with GVH Development?

I found their founder on Freelancer.com; he later upgraded his services to GVH Development, a fully-fledged web development company. We have worked on other projects before, so I trusted them with this one.

How much have you invested with them?

So far, we’ve spent between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

This project started in August 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We measure their success with several KPIs, including timely delivery, budget compliance, reliability, innovation, and communication. GVH Develoment's productivity is high; tasks are well-defined and delivered on time. They're also cost-effective and don't exceed the budget. Their communication is really effective, too — we've never had to talk twice about anything.

As of now, the project's launch is delayed by the client. However, the website is finished, and we didn't have a lot of bugs or errors to fix. I've had past experiences where we've had to go over bugs and fixes 2–3 times, and it still wasn't working, whereas with GVH Development, one pass was enough, and the site is working as designed.

Additionally, their customizable admin solution was something went beyond the potential either the client or we could see, exceeding both our expectations. In fact, GVH Development surpasses expectations most of the time, if not all the time.

How did GVH Development perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Jira for project management. As for communication, we use Zoom when we need to show exactly what to do, and we also use phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm impressed by the quality of GVH Development's work, and their reliability is one of their biggest strengths. Their communication skills add value to the project because they're actively involved. I've had experiences where developers only did what we requested without bringing anything else to the table. GVH Development is always suggesting easier and more beneficial solutions. This continuous feedback has contributed to what the client has received.

They're able to plan tasks time- and money-wise so that delays are planned. So, we don't call them delays because they're part of the work and don't hurt the project. GVH Development has gained my trust easily; ever since we started working together, everything has gone smoothly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There isn't much they need to improve. Based on my past experiences, I can say that GVH Development is devouring technology — they're constantly improving and doing it very fast. The only thing they need to pay attention to is to avoid overspeeding. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

A relationship with GVH Development gives you more than you can expect, so I don't see anyone not having a good working relationship with them. They're turbocharged on technology, and it's in their interest to continue doing what they're doing.

For what projects/services did your company hire GVH Development, and what were your goals?

We were looking to build a full front-end website alongside a full backend candidate platform and data management system.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We chose GVH as they seemed fast, reliable and good value for money. They've responded promptly and completed initial tasks quickly and satisfactorily.

GVH designed and built our full website from the front-end client facing component to the backend data management. They used Angular, Node and MongoDB and have worked with us consistently for over a year.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

3 people, a senior developer and two junior developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

All of the projects that they have completed for us they have completed on time and to the desired specification. Absolutely no complaints and they are always on hand to answer or fix urgent queries.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

George is very timely, we use email, Zoom calls, and even WhatsApp to communicate.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Incredible customer service and the quality of the end product was fantastic.

No, everything was fantastic.
