Please describe your company and your position there.

I have a design and marketing company. I do the design and creative and my wife focuses on marketing.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Green Cube Solutions, and what were your goals?

We wanted to build a new food bank website that was available in virtually any language and we wanted to a custom virtual food drive tool that could be branded for corporations raising money for the food bank.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I tried companies with subscription programming deals and they seemed to milk projects, a lot of time for nothing. I once used another developing company and they billed me for 12 hours to install an SSL. Ug, no thanks. Greencubes has been great to work with and bills by the project or by the hour depending on what we have going on.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

I sent them a wireframe and some examples. We chatted about it, they asked questions, and I clarified things. Then they provided an estimate, which I rolled into mine for the food bank. They approved it and we went to work. We mocked things up first in photoshop and then Greencubes started putting it together. We just took it step by step testing the experience along the way. We had to identify users, both virtual food drive organizers and folks who were simply donating. We had to develop custom admin pages for the food bank employees to manage the custom plugin's settings and submissions, etc...setup the ecommerce components, notifications, etc....

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

2, Miraj and Manesh, Miraj is the CEO and Manesh is a dev. Miraj mainly helped as a director of sort and jumped in on whatever needed when needed while Manesh did most of the dev work as directed by Miraj. I communicated with both on a daily basis. It worked out nice because I could work during the day doing design and content, reviewing with the client, etc...without messing them up as they were doing dev work while I was sleeping each night.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Latino traffic went up significantly, so we were able to be more effective with outreach. More corporations got involved with virtual food drives in the midst of COVID.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Very consistent with communications using chat early am and late night, plus consistent daily email dialogues to keep things moving. On rare occasions I have requested phone or video calls and they have always obliged. However, it's been my experience that providing them with documentation to refer to while executing requests is best.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Overall value. Miraj has always come through and if I ask for something crazy, he'll nicely let me know.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They could live closer. That's about it. I've been very pleased with all of the projects they've helped with.
