I am the founder and CEO of a professional employer organization in Atlanta that organizes human resources facets such as payroll, worker’s compensation, and benefits for small to medium-sized companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Glocify?

We needed website and database development skills that our in-house team lacked.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Our original website was very standard, so Glocify created a new one for us using WordPress to improve our advertising prospects and customer appeal. In order to best convey our messaging across as much online media as possible, they also integrated our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts with the site. An additional project that they completed for us was an e-commerce site on which we sell products. Its user base includes both the makers and the distributors of the products, as well as the customers.

What is the team dynamic?

There are three project managers, but during the development process I worked with one of them more often than the others. Whether or not I interacted with the other teammates depended on the specific request or topic of the day, and there was a fair amount of collaboration between them on their end.

How did you come to work with Glocify?

We found them through Upwork, a freelance and contracted services website. Glocify stood out to us because during the initial communication, they asked detailed questions about the project. Their attitude suggested that they genuinely wanted more information about our organization and our needs before simply giving us a blanket price estimate.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested around $75,000 to date.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our collaboration began in November of 2016 and it is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our page visits have risen significantly since they began to implement the work on our site. The text and messaging itself have not changed, but their design aesthetic and the introduction of a mobile-friendly site has brought in more visitors.

How did Glocify perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication has been great overall and they are always available to speak via email and phone.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Glocify always follows up, often through a phone call, to ensure that any changes they have implemented are to our satisfaction. I have worked with a lot of offshore companies, having been in the game for 20+ years, and Glocify has been great to work with.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Although we would always prefer that work be completed faster, it is entirely possible that they were working at their greatest speed. I am not knowledgeable enough about coding to be able to judge that.

I'm the CEO of Elite Personal Finance, which is an educational blog about personal finance and identity theft.
