We needed to break down each ingredient into a specific measure that makes it easy to track, cost, and price. We provided a list of all the sandwiches and prepared meals we have and the right way to make them (in pounds, oz, floz, quantities). What we needed was a software where we can input the new costs of the ingredients, and see the new costs of the meal and, therefore, the new prices required to reach our gross profit percentage. 

The final delivery was to create an inventory of the ingredients we use, linked to our sales, to let us know if we need to order more, according to what we have and the future tendency.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have regular meetings where we see the progress of the project, and all the adjustment needed from our side.

The one thing I liked the most was that the PM really understood the importance of the project. I felt confident that he was on the same path that I and I left him the autonomy to suggest modifications. With that said, he did what I asked, and we worked on some brainstorming sessions that helped both of us to have a better outcome.

It's all about the quality of the people working on the other side. They were fair when billing, and it was always easy to talk with them. That makes my life easier.

No. I am happy with the outcome of the project.

I am the IT Director of one of the first climate-tech companies that uses technology to manage, measure, audit and certify the impact of preventing waste by generating carbon credits producing incremental financial incentives.

We needed to create a complete platform from the databases to the back-end to the front-end. Our goal was to create the first climate technology oriented PaaS that would allow us to add value to our customers by having the best possible experience while using our product.

We knew that Global Task was a trusted partner with a strong focus on quality of delivery. They understood what we really needed. Their orientation to product development would help us build the strongest product.

They joined us to design the backbone of the project. We started with a discovery phase where we shared all the requirements. We had several meetings to deepen what we wanted. After getting the analysis document and diagrams, we moved into the delivery phase, where we worked together as one team to achieve the goals of each sprint.

Technologies included Golang, React, SQL and No-SQL Databases, AWS, among others.

There were 6 engineers including back-end, front-end, QA, DevOps and PMs

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our schedule was extremely tight, and we were able to release our first version on time thanks to the speed with which they not only brought the team together, but delivered the product sprint after sprint.

Management was great. The communication mainly happened in slack and the scrum methodology was carried through JIRA. The sprint planning / review / demo / refinement meetings were done using Google Meets.

Global Task really cares about our goals. They showed total commitment to our project as if it were their own. The team is very solid and the quality of the deliverables is outstanding.

I would not change anything. They are highly recommended!

Once we chose the provider, the project was defined in the following phases: Discovery of sandboxes in crypto payments, creation of backend for the platform, creation and improvement of front ends, prototyping, final tests and ramp up launch. all under an agile methodology.

our main contact was his country manager and the coo but he worked with 30 other developers in the back end, front end, ux, ui, qa and devops positions

We became the first retail ecommerce to accept crypto payments in Latin America

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Having a dedicated resource in our offices made it possible to mitigate time zone changes between our functional teams and their development teams. In addition, the CEO and COO visited our offices in Mexico on several occasions.

Rapid adaptation to changes the IT solutions in the decisions of our business model.

Having a greater amount of local resources to reduce costs in future projects.

We are provided with detailed planning with shared access to view progress. Additionally, they give us periodic demonstrations to show that the progress corresponds with the daily reports.
