I’m the senior VP of business strategy at Capmation, a technology solutions company. We provide software development, software testing, DevOps, AI development, and ML development to mostly US-based companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Gearbox Functional Creative, Inc.?

We needed help with our overall digital marketing strategy and social media marketing automation. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, Gearbox has helped us choose, install, and implement SharpSpring, a marketing automation tool. They are also working on our brand awareness, with the goal of graduating into lead generation. Notably, they use videos on our social media posts and other digital marketing campaigns. 

In addition, Gearbox has revamped our website — they’ve redesigned our platform and made it more user-friendly and updated. They’re currently maintaining and updating our site, and they’re also writing our blogs.

I’ve worked with Glenn (Art Director and Designer) and Sara (Copywriter).

How did you come to work with Gearbox Functional Creative, Inc.?

Our owner had previously worked with Gearbox. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $200,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve started working together in October 2020, and our relationship is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Thanks to Gearbox, we’ve improved our brand awareness, and the number of people following us increased by around 25%. Our campaigns are going in the right direction.

How did Gearbox Functional Creative, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Gearbox is great at project management. They’ve stayed on top of our website development project and hit all their deadlines. When we’re busy, they follow up on us and hold us accountable. They’ve created a timeline for our blogs and haven’t missed a single post yet. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We view Gearbox as our marketing department. They’re a true partner, and we don’t consider them as a vendor. 

While Gearbox pushes us to get things done, they also know that we have priorities that we can’t ignore. They’re flexible with our schedule while ensuring the project remains on track. They’re a perfect partner that’s also enjoyable to work with. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They won’t be a company that just sits back and receives orders. They operate as an active partner.
