Gradually we gained vast trading experience on various online sites, so we decided to establish an online auction of our own, thus becoming the first online antique auction house in Latvia. I myself am the owner of Fajans.
For what projects/services did your company hire G-2 Division, and what were your goals?
The biggest challenge was putting all of our accumulated experience of "brick-and-mortar" business online. Thinking through the UX and UI. Developing everything from group up and recreating the auction functionality in a way that is understandable for the first time users and for advanced users alike.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They were referred to us. The deciding factor was their commitment and understanding of the project. Over the course of 4 months they helped us developing a full concept of the whole online auction and shop sections.

They did an amazing job creating the project from just an idea. An online auction requires precision and fast response time because our clients money is at stake. There were quite a few technical challenges the team had to overcome during the development process. We are now constantly working together implementing new features like automatic invoicing and payment processing, live auction streaming.....

There were 6 people on the project. One project managed and 5 developers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We are now- number one online auction house in the region.

It is my strong opinion that when launching a new business, nothing replaces a face-to-face meeting. They were ok with conducting weekly meetings. They were very precise in minutes of the meeting afterwards. For everything else we communicated via emails.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Besides coding they brought added value by researching the global benchmarks and implementing best practices.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I advised them to add an tester to the teem, and they did.

I am a cofounder of a customer loyalty startup based in UK and Estonia. We are in the final stages of product testing.
For what projects/services did your company hire G-2 Division, and what were your goals?
The goal was to develop a smart web-based loyalty program management platform that was easy to operate and cost-effective, and could help brands and loyalty program operators retain existing customers and increase their profits.
How did you select G-2 Division and what were the deciding factors?
We found G-2 through a referral and we chose to work with them because of their understanding of the subject and advice on some key features of the platform during the first meeting, before even getting the project.

Our company is a loyalty ecosystem build for both online and offline businesses. There were 3 main goals in this project - seamless integration for businesses, realtime information and enhanced analytics. As a result, G-2 have build an easy scalable SaaS platform using the best practices of nodejs and elasticsearch orchestrated and monitored by Kubernetes.

We had a team of 3 people that meet all the requirements of the project - manager, lead developer and junior developer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The project deadline for production was met. An outside audit concluded that the quality of the code was consistent and solid.

The communication was great. G-2 had no problems switching to Telegram for operational communication. Jira was used for task tracking in terms of development.

Despite the fact that some of the features were constructed on the fly by us, G-2 was able to collect, organize, and implement everything in accordance with our wishes.

We got our money's worth. Keep it up.

Web development of education system.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were referred to G-2 by our mutual client. This client had a successful maths base project with the G-2 Division.

We hired G-2 for a complex project with a lot of legacy components. The most difficult part was to update current code base to modern dependencies with ability of additional implementation on ongoing support. We had a kick-off meeting, several investigation rounds to prepare a scope of required refactoring steps and changes in the legacy code.
After the scope was agreed, we worked using Scrum methodology. Meanwhile, we formed a backlog with additional requirements that were implemented in ongoing versions. Project was build on ReactJS, NodeJS, AWS.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
- 2 FTE Full-Stack Developers.
- 1 FTE QA specialist.
- 1/2 FTE Project Manager.

All planned work was done as agreed. No magnificent changes in timing or budget.

Scrum was chosen for the development process, with Jira as the main task manager and Slack for daily communication.

Their interest in the project was high, and the team was responsible, proactive, and effective.

It took some time for G-2 to get used to our workflow, but eventually we were satisfied with the way they jumped in and worked on the project.
Thanks to G-2 Division, the company became the number one online auction platform in their region. The team held weekly in-person meetings and provided precise minutes, ensuring everything was well-recorded. Overall, they went the extra mile researching global benchmarks and best practices.
